Damian arrived to Ponyville. On his way to his house, he noticed how everypony in town was inside their houses. He arrived to his home and was about to enter but was then interrupted when he heard a voice call him.

???: Damian!

He turned his head towards the source and saw that the mane 6 were lined up in front of the library, except for Twilight who was looking at a map, and Fluttershy who was trying to speak to her. The same voice called once more, and it turned out to be Pinkie.

Pinkie: Hey, Damian! Over here!

Damian: I should just walk away, right now.

Damian attempted to leave, but Pinkie was now magically behind him, and started dragging him by the tail towards the rest of the mares.

Pinkie: Damian, I was calling you, silly. Come on! I'm sure Twilight will want you to come with us.

Damian: God damn it. Come to what?

Pinkie: To help us with the dragon, of course.

Damian and Pinkie arrived to the mares.

Rainbow: Sup, Damian.

Applejack: Hey there, Sugarcube.

Rarity: Hi, Damian.

Damian: Hey girls. So, uh, dragon, huh?

Rainbow: Yep, and we're gonna give that Dragon the boot!

Rarity: Ahem, what Rainbow meant to say, was that we'll be encouraging him to take a nap somewhere else.

Applejack: Otherwise, Equestria will be covered in smoke for the next for the next 100 years.

Damian: And what am I here for?

Pinkie: Extra help! Besides, you know what they say, "the more, the merrier."

{With Twilight and Fluttershy}

Fluttershy: Um, excuse me. Twilight? I know you're busy, b-but if I could just have a second. So, um, I-I was thinking that, um, maybe I should just stay here in Ponyville.

Twilight: *Not paying attention* Uh-huh.

Fluttershy: Oh, good! I'll stay here and-

Twilight: Wait! You have to come. Your way with wild animals will surely come in handy.

Fluttershy: I don't think I-

Twilight: Oh, and don't worry about your little friends in the meadow. Spike's got it covered while we're gone.

The camera shows Spike arriving with a bunch of animals like a few birds, chipmunks, mice, a rabbit, etc.

Spike: You can count on me.

Angel, who can be seen in Spike's head, starts thumping his foot, and the animals start running away.

Spike: Hey! Hey! Wait!

Spike chases after them, we go back to Twilight and Fluttershy.

Fluttershy: I don't really think he's up to the task. Maybe...

Twilight doesn't listen to her and starts walking away.

Fluttershy: But...But *squeals*

Rainbow starts whispering to Twilight.

Rainbow: Are you sure you want Fluttershy to come along?

I mean, that pony's afraid of her own shadow. She's just gonna slow us down.

Twilight: Oh, she's just a little nervous. Once we get going, I'm sure she'll be fine.

The camera then shows us Fluttershy getting scared by her own shadow and then hiding in a bush.

Rainbow and Twilight exchange some glances that shows that they're not really sure if Fluttershy is up for the task.

Twilight: All right, girls and, Damian?! Why are you here?!

Damian: Well hello to you too

Twilight: I'm sorry. Hi.

Damian: Hi. And I'm here because Pinkie basically dragged me from my house to help you with the whole dragon situation.

Twilight: Well, thank you, I appreciate your help. I wasn't really sure whether to ask you for assistance, since I didn't want to bother you or anything.

Damian: Well, I'm here now. Now, come on! Let's do this! I want to take a nap. And also eat breakfast, I'm hungry.

Twilight: Okay. All right, girls, and boy. Move out.

Fluttershy: But...but...

Fluttershy was then taken with Them towards the mountain where the dragon was sleeping, but not before doing another little squeal that Damian definitely heard.

Damian: Oh, I'm gonna burn that squeal into my memory.

{Time Skip}

The mane 6 and Damian arrived at the bottom of the mountain.

The dragon's loud snore could be heard, this scared Fluttershy, and she started hiding behind Damian.

Rainbow: Whoa! What was that?

Twilight: That is what it sounds like when a dragon snores.

Fluttershy: It's- It's so...high.

Rainbow: Well, it is a mountain. I'm gonna fly there and check it out!

Rainbow was stopped by Applejack pulling her tail.

Applejack: Hold on, now. I think we should all go up together. Safety in numbers and all.

The rest are seen agreeing with Applejack.

Rainbow: *Groans* Oh, all right.

We then see the mares and Damian starting to climb the mountain.

Rarity: I hear the only thing that sparkles more than a dragon's scales are the jewels they use to build their nest.

Ooh! If I play my cards right, I might be able to convince him to part with a few.

Pinkie then starts doing an impression of the dragon.

Pinkie: "Welcome to my cave, Rarity. Care for a diamond? RRARRR!"

Everyone except Twilight starts laughing.

Twilight: Guys! This is no laughing matter.

Damian: Oh, come on, Twilight. It's good to have a laugh every once in a while, you wouldn't want us to be tense the entire trip, right?

Twilight: I...I guess you're right. Fluttershy, you're the expert on wild creatures.

What do you think the dragon will be like?

Fluttershy?

Everyone looks back to see that Fluttershy is still at the bottom of the mountain.

Rainbow: Hey, what are you waiting for, an invitation?

Pinkie: Ooh! I think I have one in my bag.

Pinkie pulls out an invitation that releases some confetti.

Damian: Aah! Some confetti got in my eye!

{With Fluttershy.}

Fluttershy: I-It' so...so...steep.

Rainbow: Well, it is a cliff. You could just-. Oh, I don't know, fly up here.

Pinkie: Come on, Fluttershy, you can do it!

Damian: Yeah! Flap those wings, Fluttershy! I believe in you!

Fluttershy: Uh...okay.

Fluttershy flapped her wings and started flying to where the rest of her friends were, but she was interrupted when the dragon snored loudly again and scared her. 

Fluttershy's wings froze and unfolded, and she started falling, but she suddenly stopped when she started being levitated by Damian's magic and was then placed where he and the mane 5 were.

Twilight: Good job, Damian. Now let's keep moving.

Damian: *To Fluttershy* Hey, Fluttershy. If you want, stay close to me, and I'll help you with anything you need along the way.

Fluttershy blushed a little due to Damian's kindness, she quickly made her blush go away, and got close to Damian.

Little did she know, all the other members of the mane 6 were watching, and couldn't help but feel a little jealous, but they knew that those feelings didn't matter right now, the priority is the dragon.

They kept on climbing the mountain, until at one point they reached a small gap that they had to pass, everyone passed except for Fluttershy

Twilight: Your turn, Fluttershy.

Fluttershy: But it's so wide.

Twilight: Come on, Fluttershy. We should be farther along by now.

Applejack: If you could just leap on over.

Fluttershy: I-I don't know.

Damian: I guess I could just pass her again with my magic, but I do want her to try and pass the challenge by herself.

Pinkie: There's nothing to be afraid of. It's just a hop, a skip, and a jump!

Pinkie jumps back to where Fluttershy is.

Pinkie: See?

♪ It's not very far, just move your little rump ♪

♪ You can make it if you try with a hop, skip, and jump ♪

Twilight: We don't have time for this.

Damian: There it is again! Does no one else hear that music that's coming out of nowhere?

Pinkie: ♪ A hop, skip, and a jump, just move your little rump ♪

♪ A hop, skip, and jump, a hop, skip, and jump, a hop, skip, and jump, a hop, skip, and jump ♪

Fluttershy got motivated by Pinkie's song.

Fluttershy: Okay. Here I go.

A hop...

Applejack: That's it

Twilight: You got it.

Rarity: Almost there.

Damian: Looking good.

Fluttershy: Skip...

Twilight: Just don't look down.

Damian: Why would you tell her that?! When someone tells you to not do something, you do the thing they tell you not to do!

Fluttershy looked down, and got scared, which made her forget about jumping, but she didn't fall since the gap present was very small, so she just ended up between the two gaps.

Rainbow groaned and went to help Fluttershy. 

She started pushing her from behind while Damian helped with his magic.

However, the combination of Rainbow's push and Damian's levitation caused Fluttershy to crash into Damian, she was now on top of him while smiling nervously at the rest of her friends.

Fluttershy: I guess I forgot to jump.

Rainbow: You sure did.

Damian: Fluttershy, could you please get off of me? I mean, for some reason I'm really cozy, but we have a dragon to deal with.

Fluttershy blushed.

Fluttershy: O-Oh, y-yeah, sorry.

The scene changes to somewhere higher in the mountain.

Twilight: Let's keep it down. According to my map, we're entering an avalanche zone. The smallest peep could cause a huge rockslide.

The mares and Damian started walking silently, but at one point a leaf, from a tree that for some reason was there, fell on Fluttershy's Flank, which startled her.

Fluttershy: Ava-!

Damian noticed these and quickly put his hoof on her mouth, for a moment it seemed like the avalanche was avoided, but a loud rumbling started, and some rocks started to fall.

Everyone: Avalanche!

Everypony started screaming while avoiding getting squashed by the falling rocks, while this was happening Damian remembered that after the avalanche, they would then have to climb over the big mountain of dirt, and he really didn't have the energy, or time for that to take to long, so he started using a spell that made everypony be surrounded by an aura and start heading towards Damian.

Twilight: Damian? What are you doing?

Damian: I don't want you girls getting hurt or anything, also we've got to keep on moving, so I'll be using a spell that I learned not too long ago.

Rarity: But darling, what about you?!

Damian: I'll be fine, don't worry about me, keep going! Although, I'll be leaving the landing to you girls.

Mane 6: *Confused* Landing?

Damian pulled them all even closer and shot them up and farther along the road.

(Just Imagine That It's The Mares Getting Launched)

Mane 5: AAH!

Pinkie: WHEE!

When Damian launched the mane 6, he started to use the spell that was equivalent to observation, and started dodging all of the incoming rocks while also breaking some with the spell that was OFA 10%. 

After some time, the rumbling stopped, Damian came out of some rubble he was under.

Damian: Phew. That was a close one, at least now I know that I can handle OFA 10% just fine, so I guess that means I should start trying to use more of it's percentage, meanwhile for observation, I still need to train it some more, there were a few rocks that were still able to land a hit on me.

Anyway, let's go with the girls.

Damian started constantly teleporting upwards, to climb the mountain of dirt faster.

{With the Mane 6}

When Damian launched them, after a few seconds of flying they started to fall until they crashed, at least Twilight was able to put a bubble around them at the last second so that they wouldn't get hurt by the fall.

Applejack: Everypony okay?

Twilight: Yeah, thanks to Damian, we are. I hope he'll be okay.

Pinkie: Whoo-hoo! Let's do it again!

Rarity: No more for me, thank you very much.

Fluttershy: I-I'm so sorry, because of me the avalanche happened and now Damian is-

Fluttershy was interrupted when Damian's voice started sounding from the top of the hill of rubble.

Damian: Hey! Are you girls still alive?! Or do I need to get ready to host 6 funerals?!

Applejack: Sometimes I'm concerned about those dark thoughts of yours, but don't worry! We're all okay!

Rarity: Yeah, although a softer landing would have been appreciated!

Damian: Sorry! I couldn't think of anything else, so I just did what first came to My mind in the heat of the moment.

Twilight: No need to apologize, just get down here so we can continue with the journey!

Damian: Kay, I'm comin- ah shoot.

Damian suddenly lost his balance and started falling down the hill.

Damian: Ow! Ouchie! Agh! sonofab-! oof!

Damian landed face first in front of the mares.

While Applejack and Fluttershy got close to see if Damian was okay, Pinkie and Rainbow couldn't help but laugh at the comical way in which Damian fell.

Rainbow: *Laughs* Wow, Damian, no matter the situation that we're in, you are always able to find the way to make it comical *Laughs*

Damian: *standing up and disoriented* W-Well as long as you girls are happy. We still have a dragon to deal with, charge!

Damian was still disoriented, so he didn't notice how he went sprinting to a wall and crashed into it, losing consciousness. Applejack goes to him.

Applejack: *sigh* I tell ya, that Damian is really good at being a comical relief with that silly attitude of his. I'll carry him the rest of the way.

Applejack placed Damian on her back and the mane 6 started to continue their journey, at one point Rainbow spoke to Twilight.

Rainbow: Still think it was a good idea to bring Fluttershy along?

Twilight: We're about to find out. We're here.

They arrive to the cave of the dragon, a lot of smoke could be seen coming out of it. 

Applejack got Damian off her back and lined up with the rest of the mares in front of the cave, Twilight started talking.

Twilight: Rainbow Dash, you'll use your wings to clear the smoke. Rainbow nodded her head and took off.

Twilight: Rarity and Pinkie Pie, you create a diversion to distract the dragon if things get a little hairy in there.

The mentioned mares nodded, but then Pinkie pulled out a rubber chicken and started swinging it around, and Rarity was showed with a confused face due to Pinkie's action. 

Twilight: Applejack, you're ready with the apples in case he decides to attack.

Applejack nodded.

Twilight: But it shouldn't come to that because Fluttershy will do what she needs to do wake him up.

And between the two us, we should be able to get him to understand why he needs to go.

While talking, some groanings sound could be heard, the mane 6 turned their heads to the origin of the sound and saw Damian waking up.

Damian: Ugh. Wha-? Morning already? Where am I? 

Did I eat some weird mushrooms again?

Twilight: Damian. I'm glad you're awake. 

In case you don't remember, you came with your friends to help stop the dragon from covering Equestria in smoke, your job is to be ready with Applejack in case the dragon decides to attack.

Damian: Yes ma'am. Now let's hurry up, I'm hungry, so we got about 27 minutes before I'm a different pony.

Twilight: Okay? Now, is everypony ready?

Everyone but Fluttershy nods.

Twilight: Okay, then. We're going in.

Twilight walks into the cave.

Twilight: So... what is the best way to wake up a sleeping dragon without upsetting him? Fluttershy?

Twilight looks back and sees that Fluttershy didn't go inside the cave with her, so she starts heading back.

Twilight: Oh, come on.

Outside the cave, Fluttershy is on the ground with her face buried.

Twilight: Come on! We have to do this.

Twilight then starts pushing Fluttershy, with the rest of the mares joining one by one, but without being able to move her.

Twilight: Now! Every *push* second longer that dragon *push* sleeps is another*push* acre of Equestria that is covered in*push* smoke.

Fluttershy: I...I...I can't go in that cave.

Mane 5: *Groan*

Rainbow: Oh, great! She's scared of caves now, too.

Fluttershy: I'm not scared of caves. I'm scared of dr...

Damian: Scared of what? Although, I already know.

Fluttershy: I'm scared of dra...

Twilight: What?

Fluttershy: I'm scared of dragons!

The dragon snores loudly and a big cloud of smoke comes out of the cave, when the smoke clears out, the mares and Damian are seen coughing and Fluttershy is hiding behind Damian.

Twilight: But Fluttershy, you have a wonderful talent dealing with all kinds of animals.

Fluttershy: Yes, because they're not dragons.

Rainbow: Oh, come on! We've seen you walk right up to a horrible manticore like it was nothing.

Fluttershy: Yes, because he wasn't a dragon.

Pinkie: Spike is a dragon. You're not scared of him.

Damian: Pinkie, to be fair, Spike is a tiny baby dragon.

Fluttershy: Yeah. He isn't a huge, gigantic, terrifying, enormous, teeth-gnashing, shark-scale-having, horn-wearing, smoke-snoring, could-eat-a-pony-in-one-bite, totally all-grown-up dragon.

Damian: I-I suppose that's One way to describe a dragon.

Once again, the dragon snores, Fluttershy whimpers and lays to the ground scared, Damian comes up to her and gives her a gentle headpat in an attempt to calm her down, this seems to slowly be working.

Twilight: But if you're so afraid of dragons, why didn't you say something before we came up all the way up here?

Fluttershy: I was afraid to.

Rainbow: Argh!

Damian: Ah, speech anxiety, I remember having that whenever I had to go in front of the class and present my work. God, those memories will haunt me forever. 

Applejack: All of us are scared of that dragon.

Rainbow: I'm not!

Damian: I'm more scared of myself if I don't get some food soon.

Applejack: Almost all of us are scared of that dragon, but we've got a job to do. So, get in there with Twilight and show her what you're made of.

Fluttershy: I. . . I. . . I just. . . can't.

Fluttershy walks away.

Twilight: Oh, Fluttershy.

Damian: Fluttershy, wait! Twilight, I'll go talk to her.

Damian goes after Fluttershy.

Twilight: All right, girls, I'm going in.

{With Damian}

Damian was following Fluttershy and catches up to her.

Damian: Hey, Fluttershy, please don't go.

Fluttershy: Damian, go back with the rest.

Damian: But we need you.

Fluttershy then talks with a broken voice, her head low, and some tears in the corner of her eyes.

Fluttershy: Damian, don't you see? I'm scared of the dragon, and ever since we started this journey, I've done nothing but mess everything up because of my fear. I'm just too afraid to do anything right. I'm not some brave pony like you and Rainbow Dash, you were able to fight Nightmare Moon and stand up to Gilda when I was too afraid to do so.

Damian: *Sigh* Fluttershy.

Once again, Damian uses his hoof to give Fluttershy a headpat and try to calm her down.

Damian: What makes you think that I wasn't afraid in those moments?

Fluttershy: *Confused* Huh?

Damian: You silly pony. On those moments I did what I did, not because I wasn't scared, but because I was afraid at the thought of what might have happened if I had just stayed there standing without doing anything.

With Nightmare Moon, I fought her because I was scared of thinking what she might you to you and the rest of the girls.

With Gilda was the same thing, though I admit, at the time if was more anger rather than fear, but the point is that it hurt me to think what she might have tried to do to you, and what effects would those actions have had on you.

Fluttershy, something you've got to understand is that no one is immune to fear, everyone fears something no matter how brave they are, this includes me and Rainbow Dash. And in case you didn't notice at the time, I was really scared when that Ursa Minor appeared in Ponyville.

Keep in mind what I'm about to tell you, Fluttershy.

Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them.

How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives.

To experience adventure or be limited by the fear of it.

I've known you long enough to know that you have what it takes to go up to that dragon and save all of Equestria from being in darkness for the next 100 years, I'm here to encourage you and help you with anything you need.

Fluttershy started deeply thinking in Damian's words. Eventually, she stopped crying, Damian stopped patting her head (much to her displeasure), she stood back up and spoke.

Fluttershy: Thank you for those words, Damian, they really mean a lot to me.

Fluttershy walked up to Damian and gave him a hug, just like in past times Damian froze.

They stayed like that for a few moments till Fluttershy broke the hug.

Fluttershy: I think we should go back with our friends.

Damian: Uh, yeah. Let's go!

Fluttershy and Damian started going back to the cave, but at one point were surprised when they saw a rock that was next to them break and reveal their friends who got launched against the rock by the dragon.

Damian: Girls! You alright?!

All he got in response was a groan from them.

Damian: Phew, they're all right.

But still *to the dragon* Who do you think you are to hurt my friends?!

Fluttershy, look after our friends. I'll deal with the dra-

Fluttershy: How dare you?

Damian: Fluttershy?

Fluttershy: How Dare You!

Fluttershy flew up to the dragon's face.

Fluttershy: Listen here, Mister! 

Just because you're big doesn't mean you get to be a bully!

You may have huge teeth and sharp scales and snore smoke and breathe fire, but you do not -- I repeat, you do not hurt my friends!!

Damian: Holy Moly! Note to self: Never Ever anger Fluttershy.

{Back with Fluttershy and the Dragon.}

Fluttershy: You got that?

The dragon whimpers.

Fluttershy: Well?

Dragon: But that rainbow one kicked me.

Fluttershy: And I am very sorry about that.

But you're bigger than she is and you should know better.

You should also know better than to take a nap where your snoring can become a health hazard to other creatures.

Dragon: But I-

Fluttershy: Don't you "but I" me, mister.

Damian: She's starting to give me scary flashbacks of my mom with that pose and that tone.

Now all that's missing is for her to say the typical "What do you have to say for yourself?" thing.

Fluttershy: Now, what do you have to say for yourself?

Damian: She said the thing!!!!

Fluttershy: I said, what do you have to say for yourself?

The dragon then started sobbing. The camera shows us Damian, who for some reason is shedding a single very manly tear.

Damian: Nothing like the scolding of a mother to break a man.

Fluttershy: There, there.

No need to cry.

You're not a bad dragon.

You just made a bad decision.

Now, go pack your things.

You just need to find a new place to sleep.

That's all.

Fluttershy flies down of the dragon's face and the mane 6 go up to her and start cheering for her. 

Twilight: You did it. I knew you could do it.

The dragon is then seeing flying off to find somewhere else to sleep.

Fluttershy: Thank you, girls.

But I couldn't have done it without Damian, he encouraged me when I didn't believe in myself.

Rainbow: Hey. Wait a second. Where is Damian?

The mares started looking around until Pinkie speaks.

Pinkie: Uh oh.

Twilight: What? What is it?

Pinkie: Look over there.

Pinkie points towards the dragon who was still flying away, but on its back was Damian.

Damian: Whoo-hoo!

Mane 6: Damian!

Twilight: What are you doing?!

Damian: I'm gonna go and learn how to train a dragon! Here I come, Toothless!

So, the mane 6 had to chase the dragon and make sure that Damian wouldn't get hurt.

Mane 6: Damian! Come back! You're gonna get hurt! Get down from there! Etc...

The scene changes to Ponyville where some Pegasus can be seen clearing the last traces of smoke from the dragon, we are then showed the Golden Oak Library where Spike is chasing a bunny.

Spike: I said, come back here! Ohh! How does Fluttershy put up with you furry, little things?

Twilight arrives with a sad Damian who was eating a sandwich.

Twilight: Spike? Take a letter.

Spike: *sigh* With pleasure.

Twilight: "Dear Princess Celestia, I am happy to report that the dragon has departed our fair country and that it was my good friend Fluttershy who convinced him to go. This adventure has taught me to never lose faith in your friends.

They can be an amazing source of strength and can help you overcome your greatest fears.

Always your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."

Spike: Got it, and Damian, Why do you look so sad?

Damian: Because the girls stopped my dreams of training a dragon, flying on it, and going on adventures.

*gasp* I got it! Spike, can I-?

Spike: You will not train me into being your personal dragon that you'll go on adventures with and fly into the sunset.

Damian: Oh, Come On!

Outside the library, Applejack's voice was heard.

Applejack: Twilight, Damian, you got to come see this!

Damian and Twilight went to a small balcony and saw Rainbow Dash constantly bouncing a ball on her head.

Applejack: She's just five away from a new pony record.

Damian: That's a thing?

Rainbow: 347, 348...

Pinkie: RRARRR!

Rainbow: Dragon!

Rainbow fell over to the ground like a goat with her hoofs up.

Everyone started laughing.

Rainbow: Why are you laughing? That awful dragon is back!

Pinkie then roars in Rainbow's face.

Rainbow: Pinkie Pie, you scared me! I mean, uh. . . you broke my concentration.

Fluttershy comes up to Rainbow.

Fluttershy: It's okay, Rainbow Dash.

Not every pony can be as brave as me.

Rainbow blew a leaf that was nearby, the leaf landed in Fluttershy's Flank and scared her.

Fluttershy fell over the same way Rainbow had previously done, once again everyone laughs.

Damian: Man, good thing you girls don't know about Gojira/Godzilla, otherwise you might be even more terrified than you are of dragons.

Rarity: Huh? Who's that?

Pinkie: I'm curious too!

Applejack: Same.

Damian: Well, I'm not going to tell you everything, but let's just say that he is a giant creature who makes a dragon looks like a tiny baby, and his roar, dear Celestia! You hear it and you can feel the power of a god behind it.

Twilight: What does his roar sound like?

Damian: Are you absolutely sure you want to know?

Rainbow: Yeah, we are! I'm sure it's not as bad as a dragon, and you're probably making it all up just to scare us.

Damian: Well, Rainbow Dash, if you say so. But you better not come crying back to me saying that I didn't warn ya.

The mane 6 fell some chills go down their spine when Damian said those last words. 

Damian's horn started glowing and an aura surround his neck, he then took a deep breath.

Damian: This one is for you, King of The Monsters, on whatever alternate world you may exist.

Damian Then Roared Like Godzilla

The powerful roar of a powerful God. 

Damian finished the roar and saw the scared faces of the mane 6 and all the ponies of Ponyville.

Damian: So, Rainbow Dash, what'd you think?

Rainbow tried saying something, but nothing came out of her mouth besides confused and scared noises.

Damian: That's what I thought. 

But don't worry everyone, Godzilla is just an ancient legend *starts walking away* or at least let us pray to Celestia that he is. 

I really hope I didn't traumatize them or anything. . . .

.... Somewhere Deep inside the Ocean: A Dragon's Eye Opened
