In a flash I was dropped off at Barry's apartment door. Bart opened the door for me and nodded before disappearing in a streak of yellow again.

I opened the door to find an empty apartment. "Nora!" I yelled through the apartment. "Be right there!" I heard her yell back as stuff clashed inside of her room sounding like she had been frantically putting stuff away.I looked around the apartment and saw that I had made one of the pictures with me, Barry, Iris, Cisco, and Caitlin before I had left Central City. Last time I had been in this apartment, alone with Nora, I hadn't been in any of the pictures. A door creaked open and soft feet echoed on the wooden floor. Nora limped in the living room wearing a short black pair of shorts and a black crop top.I looked her up and down causing her to blush. "Woah." I said quietly. "Damian stop, I woke up like an hour ago." She said to me.I rolled my eyes and jumped over the couch landing softly on the cushion before grabbing the remote and turning the tv on.

I handed the remote to Nora and she scrolled through the channels until she found something she liked before turning it on and sitting next to me on the couch."Can I ask you a question?" She asked me. "About the other Nora? "I took a shaky breath and took a couple moments to myself.Nora pursued her lips as I felt her eyes examining my face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up." She said quietly.I waved her off. "No, it's okay. Go ahead.""In her journal." Nora flipped it open and pushed the picture of us to the side as she traced her finger down the futuristic writing. "It says here 'Damian, in my final moments with you I've realized. I may not be your soulmate, but you'll always be mine." Nora read.A tear slowly fell down my face before Nora continued. "Before she died, were you guys together?"I shook my head. "No, I didn't know the other Nora was from the future. She never told me, it felt like our whole relationship had been built upon a lie." I said to her."Barry being angry with her for working with a Thawne and our breakup drew her to the negative speed-force, which you already know." I said to her.Nora's face fell. "She left the breakup out. If she wasn't your soulmate, then why do I feel such a strong connection with you?""My best guess is that she was writing how she was feeling at the time. Unlikely that she knew there would be another you, at least another you in this timeline." I said to her.She nodded and laid her head on my shoulder after putting her notebook on the coffee table. "I guess that makes sense.""It's not everyday people get a second chance at this." I said to her. "I'm not going to waste it."I felt her smile against my arm."How's your back feeling by the way?" I asked her.She shrugged. "It's okay I guess, using my speed hurts but otherwise when I'm walking around it's normal.""You'll be back out there in no time but while you're out of the field, I don't suppose I could convince you to go on a date with me." I said to her.She looked up at me interested. "A real one this time."She smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I'd like that."A gust of wind entered the apartment as a boy slid next to me on the couch.

"Hey kids, leave room for Jesus." He said to us. Nora sat up and slapped the back of his head around me. "Shut it, Bart."

"Okay, well Nora is currently benched Dad partnered me up with you to take down our meta friends.""What?" Nora said angrily. "Damian is my partner. He has been for the last month since we beat Godspeed.""Relax sis, it's just while you're benched, I promise you I'll give your boyfriend back once you can run again." Bart said rolling his eyes. "Plus, it'll give me and my future brother-in-law some bonding time."I rolled my eyes while Nora glared daggers at Bart and stood up to attack him.Nora went to punch him but stumbled and winced in pain as she used her back muscles as Bart just used his speed to dodge the attack."Woah." I said stabilizing and Nora and helping her back to the couch. "Stop fighting." I said to them."She started it." Bart said. oh my god. These two were actually children, one was twenty-six and the other was nineteen, but they fought like children."I did not." Nora said sticking her tongue out at him. You gotta be kidding me right now."You guys can fight when it's fair." I said to them.Bart rolled his eyes before disappearing into his room."I'm sorry about that." Nora said. "He's rather impulsive."I laughed. "Trust me, I know. "Nora grabbed my hand. "Damian, I want you to know how serious I am about this. About you. About us. There's gotta be a way for us to workout, through anything. I can feel it."I looked at her and smiled. "I really hope so, but I'm worried about the Hunter. It's been a month and still nothing am I missing something. "Sometimes, you just have to wait." Nora said to me.I nodded. "I know, but my family is going to be in town next month and I really don't want them in any danger. Especially with my partner out of the field."Nora's face paled. "Your family is coming?""Yeah, next month.""Damian, that's a little last minute. I have to prepare to have a good first impression." She said to me. "Hopefully I have my speed back in time."An explosion ripped through the air nearly shattering the windows.I stood up, my spider sense was going crazy.I turned to Nora."Go."I looked back at Nora as another explosion rocked the city.Nora's eyes were wide, upset by the fact that she clearly couldn't do anything. "What are you still doing here, go!" She said taking the Spider Symbol from my frozen hand and putting it on my chest. "Go be a hero. You know where to find Me."I felt the suit crawl over my skin, I nodded as I pulled the mask over my face before I shot my web at the window and pulled the window up without taking my eyes off her.

I gave one last look before I jumped out the window and began swinging through the city as a yellow and orange flash flew through the streets underneath. "Flash, Impulse." I said entering the comms.

"Hey, you finally stopped taking your eyes off my sister to come help." Impulse said trying to strike a nerve. "Did he really just say that?" Chester asked. "He definitely just said that." Caitlin replied. "You guys actually suck." I said as I backflipped as the three of us came to a halt next to a cat bomb. 

"I have three infrared signatures inside of the vehicle." Chester said. "Gotta clear the field."I looked at Barry and Bart. "Evacuate the area, if there's any more bombs, we can't put any civilian at risk. I'll get the people from the car. "The two nodded as I went to work immediately ripped the car door off. A woman was crying hanging from her seatbelt from the ceiling. I tried for the seatbelt, but it was jammed. I acted quickly as I used my strength to pry the seatbelt from the locking mechanism and caught her before she fell to the ground. "My kids, save my children. Please." She wailed grabbing my arm.I looked back at the car as the fire began to spread from the hood to the backseat. For the first time I panicked, unsure of what to do. I quickly webbed the area between the front and back seat hopefully giving myself some time before I ripped off the doors. A flash of orange blew by me, and two kids were coughing and holding their mother on the sidewalk as emergency vehicles rolled in and immediately went to helping the injured. A man walked out from around the corner. C4 strapped to his chest as he smiled holding a detonator in his hand. "Two Flashes and a Spider." He said smiling from under his hood. "I only wanted the Spider. No matter. "What do you want?" Flash yelled at him. "It's not what I want. It's what the Hunter wants, and he wants the Spider's head." The man said bouncing the detonator from hand to hand. Finally. The Hunter made his next move. "Now, I have placed ten bombs around the city. You have a minute and a half to dispose of them or boom." He said mimicking the explosion of his body. What's stopping me from taking that detonator from you right now?" Impulse asked him. The detonator has been wired to my skin contact. If the detonator is taking from me, boom. If the C4 is stripped from me, boom." He said looking at his watch. "Time starts now. Better move."Barry, Bart, Damian." Chester said through the mic. "I'm picking up ten explosive signatures sending the coordinates your way now."All of the sudden a holographic map pulled up on my wrist revealing the bombs.Bart and Barry disappeared quickly, and I quickly followed taking the three bombs in front of me.

I was quick to reach the first one. I swung it around with my webs and threw it through the air before webbing it on all sides to contain the blast.I made my way towards the next one and did the same technique containing the blast.I reached the third and went to defuse the bomb but was knocked off my feet by a concussive blast.I was standing in the middle of a warehouse."Times up." The man said to me tapping his watch as he appeared around the corner. "The Hunter will be very pleased to realize I was the one to bring him your head. He is coming, and there is nothing your friends can do.""He won't get pass me." I argued.He smirked. "You won't be around."He rose his hand and I saw two flashes running towards the warehouse."No!" I yelled going to jump away but it was too late. He pressed the button causing a chain reaction of both explosives going off at the Same time.My body bent backwards as shrapnel and heat ripped at my suit sending me sprawling into the wall of the abandoned warehouse.My vision blurred as two faces looked over me.Bart snapped into my eyes, a muffled snap.It took forever for me to finally be able to make out their voices."Damian." Barry said shaking me. "Can you hear me?"I shook my head as I took deep breaths. My breath had been knocked out of me and my back was full of shrapnel from the blast. I could feel the burns that now littered my body as I slowly began to lose consciousness."We gotta get him back to S.T.A.R Labs." Bart said as him and Barry lifted me to my feet.My head suddenly began to spin at the sudden change of blood flow and the sheer pain that ripped through my body caused my head to roll as I lost consciousness. "Caitlin!" Barry called as him and Bart hauled Damian's unconscious body into the cortex. "Oh my god." Chester said putting his hands on his head. "What happened?" Allegra asked covering her mouth with her hands. Cecile tried to search Damian's emotions but received nothing. She shook her head. "He's unconscious, I can't feel anything. "Barry and Bart laid him on the medical table as Caitlin immediately hooked a Holter Monitor to Damian's body after they removed his suit. Seconds after the machine came to life as a small heart rhythm appeared on the screen. "He's going to be okay." Caitlin said relieved seeing the monitor. "Dad!" Nora's voice echoed into the med room. Barry looked at Caitlin and nodded. "I'll deal with her, she doesn't need to see this. "Caitlin nodded back to him before Barry left the room. Damian's face had been covered with third degree burns, something that would easily be fixed by his supernatural healing, the shrapnel lodged in his back would need to be removed surgically. Together her and Bart flipped Damian over and Caitlin quickly went to work with a tweezers and a magnet. Damian had gotten lucky, if he was any closer to that bomb there wouldn't be any body to recover...
