Hey everyone!

This is my second year as a Bootcamp Mentor, and I can't wait to see all the submissions. As a Mentor, I'm hoping to lead someone to a Wattys victory and help improve their writing/stories in any way I can!

I'm looking for two things this season.

1. A whole lot of romance. Like I stated last year, I'm a sucker for romance! My preferred options are new adult, adult, or fantasy. But I will also go with dystopian romance, mystery romance, 2SLGBTQIA+ romance -- basically any sub-genre of romance. I definitely have a liking to sports romance (heeellooo hockey players).

2. Additionally, I also enjoy contemporary stories that emphasize the true meaning of feminism and independence. This means it can be completely character driven and have no romance whatsoever. Maybe you've got some badass lead FMCs that are recovering from heartbreak. Maybe they're anti-romance. Whatever they are, bring it on!

Strong leading ladies with sassy tongue

My Terms and Conditions

- I will not choose stories over 100,000 words, but they can be incomplete.

-  CANNOT include romanticization of trauma, sexual abuse, rape, toxic relationships.

- The story I choose MUST follow my wish list. There are lots of amazing authors who have joined to be mentors this year; if your story does not relate to my wish list, then I suggest looking at what the other mentors want!

- CANNOT include discrimination against BIPOC or LGBTQ+ groups. If it does, I will not choose your story, AND I will block you.

- Consent is required for all sexual scenes

- Present tense is preferred
