Sonic pov

I woke up and smiled. Today was Mia's and Rachel's birthday. I shook shadow awake.

" 5 more minutes love " he said sleepy.

" no wake up. It's our daughters birthday " I said

His eyes shot wite open. He stood up making himself ready. Then he took my hand.

" relax shady. I have everything under control " I said calm fully.

" but they need gifts " he said.

" I want me early up and brought them something " I said

" what about the guest ? They got friends " shadow said worried.

" I called everyone to meet us here at 7 pm " I said with a smile.

" what about the decoration ? I could call Rouge for it " shadow said.

" I already did that " I said. I was so happy that shadow got worried about all this. You ask why right ? Because I wanted to know if shadow really cares for them. I know he does care fur them but sometimes he needs to work so much that even he forgets about Rachel and Mia even me. So I needed to made everything to see what his reaction would be and I'm glad that he didn't say just thank you love and slept more. He just asked me out so to find out what he can do something. I smiled at that.

" and what about music ? Or food ? " shadow asked now.

I hugged him.

" already did that too. Don't worry I told you I got everything under control" I said.

" and what about they're cake ? " he asked.

" wanna see it ? It's chocolate cream cake " I said.

I saw him sigh and looked down. I put his chin up and gave him a kiss.

" you didn't need to do all of this alone. Now I have nothing to do for our daughters birthday. I feel bad for that " shadow said.

I put one hand on his cheek and looked into his crimson red eyes.

" don't be. If you want go with our daughters outside and play with them or go shopping with them. " I said.

" okay but next time plz let me plan with you together the birthdays. " shadow asked.

" of course " I said. I smiled I was so glad that my plan turned out so well. Sometimes even you trust someone that you would give up your life. You need to challenge them without they know. Even if I knew shadow would react like that I wanted to see it with my own eyes too. I saw him how he went to Rachel and Mia. Rachel screamed in happiness and I knew Shadow told him that it's shopping time. Rachel loves shopping on her birthday but only on her birthday. I'm glad that I have 2 beautiful daughters and my amazing Shadow as a husband on my side. I heard Mia clapping her hands in happiness and giggling. I saw shadow picking her up and put her down on her feet. Mia is now 1 year and Rachel got now 9 years old. Mia is close to say her first words. I'm the most maybe even the only happiest hedgehog on universe. I went to the living room making the table ready so everyone could sit and eat later.

Shadow pov

I was upset a bit after hearing sonic done everything while I was asleep but I did got the hint why he done that. He just wants to know if I take it serious about being a father even if he knows I do he still wanted to see it with his own eyes. I don't blame him to be honest I'm even glad he done that seriously. Rachel and Mia deserve only the best. They should be happy and not upset so sonic just making sure with the test if I can be there for them even with my stressful job. I would do that too if I would be the mother from them. I mean that. Anyways I put Rachel and Mia some clothes on and Rachel helped Mia getting her shoes on then she put her own ones on.

" isn't mommy coming ? " Rachel asked.

" not this time. She said she has a big surprise for you two so she can't come." I said.

" daddy but I said mommy no big surprises. It's just our birthday. I don't wanna that mommy gets to stress out because of us " Rachel said.

I picked Rachel up and kissed her nose tip.

" don't be. She wants to do it with her own will. She loves you so much " I told her and put her down.

She sighed saying fine but she would tell sonic not making to big work because over us. I liked the way Rachel was thinking and acting. Lots of kids mostly begging or crying to get everything but If Rachel wants something. She don't wanna take it. Once sonic and we all got into a game shop. Rachel had fun playing with a gun. She loved the gun but as sonic wanted to buy it Rachel didn't want that. She told Sonic that it's to much. She doesn't know money yet so I explained the more numbers there are the more we need to gave it. She told sonic there is to much number and she don't wanna that he gaves so much. At first sonic didn't understand what she meant with number but after he did he smiled. He still bought it and told Rachel that it was okay. Of course Sonic knew I told Rachel about the money thing so he just kissed my lips. He was happy that I learn the kids the right thing.

" did you forget something? " I asked them.

Rachel shook her head.

" okay then let's go. " I said.

" mommy. Daddy, Mia and I going outside " Rachel shout a little.

" be careful. Love you all " sonic shout back.

" we will. " Rachel shout and with that we leaved the house.
