Today was a waterfall. Only two of us were grieving terribly, me being one of them. The other was her ex-boyfriend. We were the ones closest to her. One of my lunch buddies kind of made it worse by asking, "Isn't she in a better place?" I started bawling because that is the one thing I am unsure about. My choir class is working on finding a way to help her family. Many people have also been reaching out for me. I talked to my youth pastor and she said that now that there is nothing to do, I should ask God what I can do now to hopefully lead others to Christ.
The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.
– Exodus 3:7 (NIV)
"God cares about our circumstances. He is not a distant, hands off type of being who doesn’t hear nor care about what you or I face. God is actually away of every hair on our head, and he cares about the things that we suffer. The story of Moses is a story for all of us, for we all have situations that plague us for long periods of time. But God’s silence does not mean that he has abandoned us; for God is raising up solutions to our pain—though it may take some time." - Dave Whitehead
The video does not belong to me and it is Brand New by Ben Rector.
