Disney actually gets the credit for influencing anime.

Osamu Tezuka ("father of manga"), was greatly influenced by Disney's work during the golden age of its animation. His works were made to look like the Disney style at first, and as his creations evolved, they took on a "cuter" style, later forming into anime as we know it today.
