Trompe L'oeil -- French: "deceive the eye" in painting, it is the representation of an object with such verisimilitude as to deceive the viewer concerning the material reality of the object.

SET 15 YEARS AFTER Chiaroscuro's finale, Alice Mallory, a successful artist in London, sends her 18 year old daughter to study music abroad in the USA, where she will live with her uncle Colin, a prosecutor in Virginia.

THE PROBLEM is that the artist is unaware of her daughter's double life in pursuing an FBI career by entering Quantico Academy instead, under the sponsorship of her found family Jack Crawford.

IN NEED of the young girl's skills who were just as her as her deceased stepfather, Jack asks for her help in a case, and through the ups and downs of the investigation, things go wrong, leading her to find a familiar stranger who was supposed to be dead a decade ago.

WILL blood scream louder than danger, or will Mischa find her deadly fate?

The Hannibal NBC series doesn't belong to me, along with the Red Dragon's books, they all belong to their respective owners.

This book follows the story of my previous Hannibal Lecter fanfiction called "Chiaroscuro", so you NEED to read that one first so you may understand this book.

**For those who already read Chiaroscuro: this book will be a continuation from the Epilogue, 15 years AFTER the Fall. So some characters have grown up and gotten older in the meantime, changing their respective face claims or characteristics. But the character's story, personality, and ideals remain the same.

**Please don't take too much in mind the ages and the faceclaims, like Hannibal supposed be 60 but he looks as great as ever. I just didn't want to change the faceclaims, so imagine them the way you prefer.

This book is focused on HANNIBAL NOT WILL, he is dead in this book. (I love Will but it just wouldn't work with him alive, sorry)

This book contains:
Trauma, (light) sexual content, mature language, toxic relationships, murder and violence, gaslighting, family themes, trust issues, absent father themes (a.k.a daddy issues), and, of course, cannibalism.

Please don't copy my work! I'll make sure to take all the necessary actions against you if that happens.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

OKAY, HERE WE GO. I've been wanting to write a father hannibal fanfiction for a while because he's just fantastic with children, like, in my head, he is (let's not talk about Abigail). But then I imagined...how would Hannibal deal with an absolutelt annoying teenager, and this teenager is his daughter?

This will be more like a bonus book because my story really ends that way in Chiaroscuro (Alice alone with her kid), like, it's the SAFE ending. But I know y'all don't want that, right? So yeah, bring on the cannibal!

Blanche was my fav in here obviously, and it was a delight to write her, her personality and dynamic with Hannibal are just awesome, I love the comedy, the drama and the caring between them.

I really wanted to represent this new phase in Alice's life, how she managed to reach her dreams as an artist and as a solo mom but also misses Hannibal and Will. And there's this whole bunch of new characters and plot to twist your heads.

Anyway, prepare yourself to either laugh and cry. I hope you enjoy it and, good reading!<3
