"WANDA?"
The witch took a few steps back, she had to act like his Wanda. "Kol," she breathed out.
The original clenched his fist, he wanted to reach out to her and hold her. Just to make sure she was real, he was tired of hallucinating her. So many restless night just thinking about her were beginning to drive him insane.
"I've been looking everywhere for you."
"You found me." the witch softly smiled. She knew that Kol was doing everything in his power to keep the future from occurring, but no matter what was done to try and stop it, the outcome would stay the same. They were just delaying the inevitable.
She had to put an end to it.
"Please, please don't shut me out again." Kol pursed his lips. Wanda frowned, "Seems as if shutting people out is my specialty."
"We can fix this, we can change the future and you don't have to carry this burden alone." the vampire rambled as he reached and grasped her hand. Kol furrowed his brows in confusion, sparks didn't erupt.
Wanda snatched her hand back, that would be the first thing to give her away, "You're right. I-I don't know why I keep pushing you away. I'm sorry- I'm so sorry." the red head shed a fake tear. Acting became second nature to her.
Kol frowned seeing his lover cry, he gently caught her wrist and pulled her to him. He rested his chin upon her head as he wrapped his arms around her. "We'll fix this, together."
Wanda held a blank expression. She pressed her hands against his chest and pulled back from him. Kol narrowed his eyes, why was she acting so different?
"We need to hurry, I'm afraid I'm going to drive myself insane if I keep having those visions."
Kol firmly nodded and the two began walking back to the compound.
Kol opened the front door and held it for the witch to pass through. Wanda walked inside and stopped as she saw them. Her deceased family.
"Wanda," Niklaus felt relief wash over him as he hugged the red head. Wanda was startled by the sudden welcome. To say she forgot what it was like to be welcomed and not run from is an understatement.
The witch awkwardly patted his back and chuckled nervously.
"I'm pretty sure I was only gone for a week."
Hayley affectionately laid a hand on her shoulder, "We were worried about you."
"Mom!"
Wanda's eyes widened as she saw the twins run towards her with the brightest smile. The two twelve year old's launched themselves into their mothers arms. "I'm so happy you're okay." Wiccan nearly cried.
It made the older witch remember her Wiccan, the one who was still trying to get through to her.
She tried to muster up a smile but it faltered when she looked down at little Adira who was beaming up at her. "You're home mom."
Wanda kept her breathing steady, she could sense Adira trying to read her mind. If she let her guard down for even a moment the mutant could very well infiltrate her mind.
"That I am, Adira." it felt odd for the witch to utter her name.
Wanda looked over the Mikaelson's, Elijah was smiling at her while Freya sat on the couch. Hope stood by Hayley and Klaus while Rebekah leaned on the coffee table.
It had been awhile since she last saw them all together.
"How about we get to searching for answers?" the witch suggested and she watched as the people who were once her family eagerly nodded.
"I was thinking mom, what if we try contacting uh- like evil you I guess and try and make her see that there's a different way to go about things? I don't see any other way we could stop the future from coming true." Wiccan rubbed the nape of his neck as he spoke up.
Wanda eyed her twins, "You two have already watched Kol die, haven't you?"
Adira glanced at the ground and the Mikaelson's all turned to glance at the twelve year old's. "We time traveled to try and stop dad's death from happening. His death broke you mom, I'm sure that's what starts causing you to slowly slip away from stability." Adira inquired.
Wanda clenched her jaw, "Well, you aren't wrong."
Kol looked towards the witch with a questioning gaze. "I've seen it, in my visions. I saw myself lose control over my magic." she lied.
The original didn't understand why he was so weary of her. He had never felt this unsecure with her. It had to mean something.
"But I'm not sure contacting any of my future selves will do anything. I'm not even sure there is a way to escape this."
"We have to try." Hope spoke up.
Wanda met the gaze of the tribrid and she narrowed her eyes down ever so slightly. She had gotten into some fights with nineteen year old Hope. The tribrid was strong and difficult to defeat, especially with the amount of magic she had. To say Hope irked her was putting it lightly.
The Scarlet Witch nodded as if to agree with her statement.
"I've been searching the memories and visions of myself. Something bad will happen to us all if we don't." the witch was a good liar.
"We're here to help." Rebekah smiled encouragingly.
"With anything you need." Freya added as she stood and stepped beside her sister.
"As a family." Hayley comfortingly grinned. Wanda wanted to scoff, all it would do is get them killed faster. This family was more gullible than she remembered.
Kol crossed his arms over his chest, he was listening intently when he suddenly felt a tug in his mind. The vampire frowned as he realized it was from his soulmate bond, but why was she calling him if she was right across from him?
"Kol!"
The original looked around as if searching for the voice before he realized that it came from his mind.
"Wanda?"
"Oh thank god, I've been trying to reach you."
"Why would you be trying to reach me? You're right in front of me."
Kol glanced up at the witch but saw her in a conversation with Elijah, she was clearly talking to him through their bond but she didn't seem like it.
"That's not me! Well technically it is but it's future me. Evil me, bad me, killer me basically. She trapped me in her magic, she's trying to stop us from saving myself!"
The Mikaelson wearily watched the red head, that must be why he was so nervous around her.
"But, I couldn't feel the sensation we feel when we touch."
"Because her Kol is dead. She no longer has a soulmate bond."
"Why is she trying to stop us?"
"She believes there's no way out of this. So she feeds off of power, craves and needs it. She will do whatever she has to to stop us from going through with this."
"How do we stop her? I never thought we'd have to fight against you. You are beyond our capability of fighting Wanda. With the flick of your wrist we could all cease to exist."
"I know. My older self is stronger than me by a long run but we have to stop her. If we don't..."
"I know. Stay put my love."
Kol focused on the witch before him once again, it was hopeless. Wanda was too strong, what could he do?
"What's wrong dear?"
The original met Wanda's emerald eyes. "Nothing, why?"
The witch softly chuckled, "Kol, we're married. You can't lie to me."
A fatal flaw on her part, Kol narrowed his eyes, "Engaged, not married yet."
The red head muttered a curse as she realized everyone's eyes were on her, "Same thing isn't it?"
"Perhaps do more research before claiming to be my Wanda." Kol hissed at her. Wanda dropped her smile as the same blank expression took over her features. "Seems as if my younger self told you everything." she dryly laughed after getting a glimpse of his mind.
The Mikaelson's had a look of confusion at what was going on.
"So what are you going to do Kol? We both know you wouldn't even be able to lay a scratch on me." a sinister smile creeped it's way onto the witch's lips.
Kol stood defensively as his family stood by his side. "Mom?" Wiccan merely whispered.
"I expected you all to take longer to figure it out."
Hayley frowned, "What are you talking about?"
"I've come to stop this little ploy to take my strength away. I'm sick of having my plans messed with. Mikaelson's truly are a pain in the ass." wanda held no emotion in her gaze, not even a trace of her past self.
"What have you become?" Rebekah looked at the red head as if she were a total stranger, this was not their Wanda.
"I'm from year 2045. I've seen the downfall of you all, mostly because I've caused it. So much for the mighty original family."
Kol clenched his fists, "Trying to act as if nothing phases you doesn't seem to helping yourself."
"I'm not acting Kol. This is my natural state. My current self that's from this year knows that. She's just being stubborn by believing fate can be changed."
"It can be if you try." Elijah told the witch.
"Nothing will change my way of thinking. I will put a stop to this scheming, even if I have to kill every single one of you to keep it that way."
Wiccan's lips slightly parted, what had happened to his mother.
"You won't kill us." Klaus firmly stated.
Wanda turned to face the hybrid, "What makes you so sure?"
"We're family."
"Were. We were family. Now? I couldn't care less."
"That's not true, you know it isn't mom." Adira glared at the witch. She believed no matter how far her mother went, she would never inflict pain on any of them.
"My sweet Adira, you could have grown to have such potential."
The girl's glare faltered, "What?"
Wanda looked over at her son, "Wiccan, you've been having of Adira's dead body, haven't you?"
Wiccan audibly gulped as his sister and father looked over at the boy, "Yeah,"
"Adira first died at the age of sixteen, she was stabbed and bled out, but as we all know she carried vampire blood so she came back as one. Two years later her heart was ripped from her chest, killing her permanently. Guess who did it?" a coy smile etched itself onto her expression.
A tense and heavy aura plagued the atmosphere. Wiccan shivered in fear.
"Wanda." Kol warningly growled. She was trying to rile them up.
The red witch quirked a brow up as a happy smile appeared tugged on her lips, "Me"
Rebekah's eyes widened in horror as Klaus slightly pushed the twelve year old girl behind him. Kol grit his teeth, he never thought Wanda would have fallen so far.
"Why?" Wiccan croaked. Those nightmares haunted him, seeing his sisters lifeless body. Her skin pale gray while her eyes no longer held any sign of life. His own mother caused such atrocity?
Wanda blankly looked at the boy, "Enjoyment." she lied. The witch needed to rile up fear in them, no matter what she had to do or say for it to happen.
Freya held Wiccan in his arms as he shook with panic.
"Enough! We're going to put an end to this." Elijah harshly spoke up. Wanda let out a humorless laugh, "You think you can beat me? Me? Don't make me laugh."
Kol cautiously took a step forward making Adira reach out and grasp his wrist in fear for him, "Please, Wanda."
"If you're trying to rile up meaningless emotions in me don't waste your breath. My Kol is dead."
"Don't doubt us too much. We can stop you, Wanda." Klaus chimed in. He would do everything to stop the witch and return her to her stable state of mind.
A sinister smile tugged on her lips, her eyes shining with a new found hunger. "I take that as an act of war."
The witch raised her palms as her eyes turned bloody red and all the Mikaelson's stood firmly.
She flicked her wrists and they all watch as a gush of her power exploded in the room and faded outwards, unknown to the family, she covered the entirety of New Orleans in her chaos magic.
"I now control the mind of every vampire, werewolf, and witch in this city. All ordered to attack and kill each one of you on sight. I'd finish you off myself but, it'd be too quick and boring. This seems more entertaining." Wanda watched happily as a look of terror washed over them.
"You all wanted to see the full power of the Scarlet Witch, did you not?" the red headed witch tilted her head. Her lips were tugged up into a smirk but her eyes held no emotion.
"Wanda, this needs to stop." Kol shakily spoke up. He knew there was no beating her, she was too powerful to handle.
"Oh I don't know, I'm quite actually enjoying myself. Now shoo." she flicked her wrist and the doors busted open and the Mikaelson family were slammed out and onto the quiet streets of the French Quarter.
Wiccan groaned and rubbed his head while Adira helped Hope stand up.
Klaus watched a vampire launch itself towards the two girls and pounced quickly ripping the creatures heart out. Blood gushed out from the vampire's chest as all color drained from his face and the body slumped onto the street.
Rebekah and Kol were suddenly surrounded by a group of vampires.
"Oh bloody hell." the blonde complained as the two siblings began ripping apart the blood sucking creatures.
"Adira, can't you mind control them?" Wiccan heavily breathed as he looked over at his sister. The brunette shook her head, "Mom has them under her spell. I can't do anything."
Freya angrily snapped a witches neck that had inflicted a pain spell on Hayley.
"What the fuck do we do?" Hope panted.
"Watch the language." Klaus scolded his daughter while finishing off yet another vampire.
"If Wanda wants a war then we'll give her one." Elijah grunted as he decapitated a werewolf that lunged at him.
"We might need to find a hiding spot first because the entire city is now after our necks!" Adira shouted.
"She's right. We need shelter to come up with a plan." Freya shouted. Kol turned to face his family.
"But first, we need to get our own Wanda back."
