WANDA COULDN'T sleep. She refused to. The red haired witch always saw the death of those she loved the moment her eyes shut. It would be a recurring nightmare.
Only she was starting to believe they weren't dreams but visions from the near future. And that terrified her.
Kol knew something was terribly wrong with his fiance. He could feel it, everyday the Maximoff distanced herself more. It was beginning to get worrisome.
Wanda was in the kitchen washing dishes the three children of the house left after eating breakfast.
Kol stepped into the kitchen and crossed his arms as he watched his lover.
"Instead of taking out whatever the hell is going on to that ceramic plate, why don't you talk to me?"
The witch looked down to see she had been scrubbing the same plate for the last 10 minutes.
"Talk about what? I didn't think there was anything to talk about." Wanda lied, she despised keeping things from Kol but she thought it was best he didn't know.
The Mikaelson sighed, "Lying isn't going to get me to leave you alone darling."
"I'm fine Kol, so go do something productive like dust the house okay?" Wanda finished rinsing the last cup and grabbed a rag to dry off her hands and walked past the original.
Kol never had such a difficult time getting something out of Wanda. Which is why it was beginning to worry him. What had the witch so on edge?

"You've been feeling something off about mom too?" Wiccan questioned his older sister. The young girl nodded and pursed her lips, "Moms mental barriers are wicked strong and nothing can get through them but there have been some occasions where they're weaker and less guarded. Mom's mind sounds like a loud static radio but instead of static, it's voices."
"What do you mean?"
"It sounds like thousands of voices all whispering at once, they sound weird, eerie, and creepy." Adira felt a chill run down her spine as she remembered what they sounded like.
Wiccan tilted his head, "But that doesn't mean there's something wrong with mom."
The Mikaelson mutant lowered her voice as she spoke to her brother, "It's what they're saying. Something about destruction, chaos, and death, a lot of death."
The blonde boy widened his eyes, "Well anything with death isn't good. At all."
The twins exchanged worried looks and looked back down at they're lunch boxes. Students began to pile into the cafeteria for lunchtime.
The siblings always sat alone parted from everyone. They would always receive odd looks and people would move away from them.
Hope approached her cousins with a smile as she sat before them. "How was history?" the tribrid asked the two twelve year olds.
"Boring" Wiccan muttered as he sipped his water.
"It was a tad this lesson. We were learning about the founders of Mystic Falls." Adira told Hope.
"Oh yeah, that's a boring unit. You'll get into the interesting stuff later on. The original werewolf curse, the first ever witches, travelers. It's a whole chapter." the Mikaelson heir smiled.
The three heard muffled laughs and turned to the table behind them. A group of witches were making snarky remarks. Adira recognized one of them, Elizabeth Saltzman. She was in her history class, and she was known to make rude comments to either Adira or Wiccan.
Wiccan frowned and turned away from the laughter.
"Don't pay attention to them. They're all a bunch of immature assholes who have nothing better to do." Hope told her cousins.
"I don't get why people can be so mean. I didn't even do anything to them." the blonde boy quietly said as he stared at his sandwich. Adira frowned, she knew Wiccan took all the insults much deeper than she did.
"I say they're jealous because you could wipe them all out with the flick of your wrist." the little mutant huffed. Wiccan offered his sister a crooked smile and went back to eating his sliced apples.
Hope smiled, she adored seeing Adira comfort and stand up for Wiccan. And she too would protect the two of them from the rumors roaming around the school. Consequences be damned.

Wanda was sat on the couch as she stared off. She couldn't understand how she saw herself do such unspeakable actions. The witch didn't think she had it in her to hurt her loved ones, it was something she never would have imagined of.
But why? Why is she hurting her own family? She couldn't piece it together.
"Drowning yourself in your own thoughts?"
Wanda snapped her attention towards the voice. Klaus gave her a smile as he sat before her.
"Hey Nik"
"Something on you're mind you'd like to share?"
The Maximoff witch looked at the ground as she took a shaky breath. "I don't understand." she softly muttered.
"Understand what?"
The witch looked towards the hybrid, "Why it's all falling apart... and why I can't fix it." she stressed.
Klaus furrowed his brows in confusion, "What's falling apart Wanda?"
"Everything." she whispered as she clutched her head.
"I can assure you love, everything is perfectly fine. The whole family is finally together-"
"And they're going to die and that will be be my fault!" Wanda exclaimed.
She watched as the hybrid raised a brow, "What the bloody hell are you talking about?"
Wanda felt her eyes water up, "Nothing you need to worry about." her eyes turned scarlet red, "I will fix everything."
She stood from the couch and stormed out of the compound.
As soon as she left Klaus shook his head as if he was in a daze. The hybrid looked around with a confused expression.
"How did I end up here?"
...,...
Kol walked down into the basement to finish dusting the house. He walked into the lair that Wanda had made it into for her magic and studying.
The room had no sunlight and the only source of light were lit candles the witch had all around the walls. Vines covered the concrete and herbs aromatized the atmosphere. Many plants were also by the corners, Kol smiled knowing it was Wanda's love for plants.
He walked up to her desk and smiled seeing the little cactus he had gifted to her. Her desk was full of pens and at least four candles were placed surrounding her grimoire.
The darkhold was left open on a page, the vampire tilted his head to read the open page.

Kol gaped at the piece of parchment. A destiny? No one should have they're purpose written out for them. If life were predictable it would cease to be life.
He didn't believe it. Wanda was capable of too much good to cause such misery upon someone. He was sure she would not follow this prophecy, for she was much stronger.
But one can only hope.
The vampire continued cleaning and tidying up the desk, he went to open the drawer but it was locked. The original furrowed his brows, Wanda had her spell book right upon her desk. So what else needed hiding?
Kol gripped the drawer tightly and yanked it open using his vampire strength. The male was even more confused now, all that was in it was a journal. What did that need hiding for?
The vampire pursed his lips, he knew he shouldn't go through his fiance belongings. Yet a little voice in his head shouted that he should.
With a heavy sigh the vampire flipped open the first page.
And that, was mistake number one.

a/n:
two little disclaimers; I absolutely love
and adore Lizzie! But as we all know she
was a bully as was Josie when they were
kids which makes theyre character development as they grow
better but I don't want anyone to think I'm making
either of the twins look bad. Second; I made up theย
little scarlet witch page so it might not be perfect or accurate
but it works with the story. Feel free to ask me any questions
either in the comments or in my dms.
