Chapter '12

'𝟏𝟐 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞

..,..

THE DAY was clouded as slow droplets of water started to fall.

Wanda grabbed a newspaper and covered her head as her other hand held some grocery bags, the girl walked trying to cover her hair from the harsh rain that was now starting to fall.

She approached her car and placed the bags away as she slid into the drivers seat.

Wanda sighed and started up her car to drive back to the house.

The girl stopped at a red light and saw a mother and father crossing the street with their daughter.

The witch smiled at seeing how happy the little girl was with her parents. Somehow it lead her to think about her and Kol. And the two children who kept calling her name, Wanda couldn't pinpoint where the voices were coming from but what Strange had been able to tell her, those children were from the future.

Wanda looked at her hand that was placed on the steering wheel and smiled, her engagement ring was placed on her ring finger.

The light turned green and the witch took off.

..,..

Wanda parked her car in the driveway, she grabbed her bags and headed inside the house.

The girl placed the bags and keys on the counter and walked away, passing a pictured frame of her and Kol.

The witch took a bottled sparkling water out of the fridge and went to the shelf above her fireplace.

She looked over her pictures with the Mikaelson's. Her eyes landed on the one with Hope, it was from the night she left. The picture was taken when the two were laughing together, and none other than Klaus had caught the moment.

Wanda hadn't noticed when Klaus slipped all these pictures of her and the Mikaelson's before she left, but she owed him everything because of it. These pictures kept her going, letting her know that they would be there for when she would return.

But Wanda remembered her conversation with the one and only Sorcerer Supreme.

"What are you trying to say Strange?" Wanda asked the wizard.

"I am saying that because of all this imbalance in the multiverse, years have passed in different realties, more time than should have." Doctor Strange told the witch.

Wanda furrowed her brows, "How much time has passed for them?"

"Well it's been a year since you've arrived back here..." Strange trailed off as he looked through some books.

"Roughly around 4-5 years? Kinda hard to keep track of everyone's time line all at once since the imbalance, but I believe that should be fairly accurate."

Wanda staggered back a bit, too much time has passed. She had to go back and soon.

"Thank you, Strange."

Wanda shook her head, that had been a few months ago, she sighed and set down her water, heading to the room she kept the Darkhold in.

The young witch flipped through the pages and landed on the spell for jumping realities. She ran her hand over the page and set down the book.

The young girl walked back out the room and placed the picture that she kept on her fridge of the entire Mikaelson family along with her in it, into her back pocket.

Wanda then went to the Darkhold, reading the exact instructions the spell needed.

The witch closed her eyes, she inhaled and slowly exhaled. She opened her eyes that were shining a scarlet red.

Wanda sent a beam of her energy into thin air, watching a portal slowly appear.

The red head smiled and grabbed the Darkhold. She closed her eyes and breathed, she slowly walked into the portal when the two had disappeared into thin air.

..,..

Wanda walked out the other end of the portal and recognized exactly where she was, she was in the Mikaelson compound.

Wanda looked around but didn't spot anyone home at the moment.

The young witch took the time to walk around with a bright smile on her face, she was finally back home.

Wanda spotted a picture of Klaus with a beautiful teenage girl.

The witch wanted to cry, it was Hope. She had grown into a lovely young lady and as an aunt Wanda couldn't have been more proud.

She missed a lot once again, but this time, she wasn't going anywhere.

She suddenly heard foot steps approach and the young girl turned to be faced with Klaus and Hope.

Klaus couldn't believe his eyes, it was her, she was finally back.

The hybrid smiled and quickly walked engulfing the witch in a comforting hug.

Wanda laughed and happily returned it.

Hope was breathing quickly, her aunt Wanda was back. She waited for years and finally here she was right before her.

Klaus was crying just a bit making Wanda laugh but the girl also had a few tears coming down her face.

"You took your bloody time, didn't you?" Klaus quietly laughed.

"Sorry about that." Wanda shyly said.

Klaus hugged her again, "I never thought I'd miss arguing with you so much."

"Happy to know I was missed." Wanda patted his back.

Klaus let her go and revealed Hope who was behind him.

Wanda covered her mouth seeing how much her niece had grown.

"Hey aunt Wanda." Hope laughed.

The red head laughed and pulled the girl towards her into a hug.

"God you need to stop growing."

Hope laughed and clung tightly onto her aunt. She was actually back.

Wanda pulled back and held Hopes face in her hands, "You're so big." she laughed.

Hope laughed and nodded.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't here to watch you grow up." Wanda whispered.

Hope shook her head, "All that matters is that your here now."

Wanda stepped back, "Where's the rest of the family?" she asked wanting to see them as well.

"Hayleys taking care of a few things with Josh and Elijah, Rebekah left with Marcel to travel, Freya is somewhere around this city, and Kol is in Mystic Falls." Klaus told the witch.

"What's Kol doing there?" Wanda asked the hybrid.

"He had to speak with a certain witch, about what I have no clue." Klaus answered.

"Oh okay." Wanda said, feeling a bit down that he wasn't in town as neither was Rebekah.

"Well I know Elijah will be bloody happy to see you again." Klaus smiled.

Wanda chuckled and nodded.

"How long has it been?" she asked.

"6 years" Hope replied.

Wanda's eyes widened, "Wow, Strange wasn't joking." she muttered.

"Bloody long time, how was it for you?" the hybrid questioned the girl.

"More than a year." Wanda told him.

"Ah so it was longer for us than you." Klaus said.

Wanda nodded.

"Well let's sit." Klaus told her.

Hope sat next to Wanda as Klaus sat across from the two.

"So how's your world doing?" he asked the red head.

"Um a little iffy, Cap retired, Natasha died, and apparently our multiverse is going unstable." Wanda said.

Hope listened with much interest about what her aunt had to say.

"Sounds bad, they don't need you?" Klaus asked, honestly he could care less if they needed her because that meant more time without her but he would likely get yelled at is he said anything.

"They can handle it without me, they have Strange." Wanda answered.

"Uh who's Strange?" Hope asked her aunt.

"Ah he's a sorcerer, one of the strongest ones. He protects the multiverse and the time stone." Wanda told her niece.

Hope nodded, she found her aunts world very interesting. She learned what she could about it from her Uncle Kol who would tell her about it.

"So how are you doing, tell me everything." Wanda said to Hope.

The young tribrid laughed, "Um I'm in a school for supernatural creatures." she told her.

Wanda smiled, "That's awesome Hope, do you like it?"

"Yeah it's cool, Dad picks me up after school since he doesn't want me living on campus yet." Hope explained.

"Sounds like you father, and have you met a special someone?" Wanda winked.

"Alright that's enough about that." Klaus interrupted.

"Oh come on Nik, she's a teenager. She's going to meet plenty of people who's going to catch her eye." Wanda told the father.

"Well for right now, it's a bloody no." Klaus huffed.

"What was your childhood like aunt?" Hope asked the witch.

Klaus looked at Wanda with weary eyes, he knew her childhood and how it was something the witch would not want to talk about.

"Hope let's not-" Klaus started but Wanda cut him off.

"No Nik it's alright, I can tell her." Wanda smiled reassuring the hybrid.

Klaus nodded respecting the girls wishes.

"Well, I grew up in Sokovia, a tiny poor country." Wanda started.

"And your parents?"

"They were killed in a bombing when I was 10." Wanda told her.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know." Hope said, looking down.

"It's alright sweetheart, I also had a brother. His name was Pietro and he was like my other half." Wanda smiled.

Hope knew her aunt had a brother but didn't hear much about him.

"What was he like?"

"Annoying" Wanda laughed.

Hope chuckled.

"No but he was a great person, no matter what he always worried for me and put me first. I owe him everything, he died saving a child and an old friend of mine." Wanda warmly smiled.

Hope frowned, her aunt had lost her whole family.

"I'm proud of him."

Klaus admired the girl, this was not the same Wanda he knew, she had grown into a stronger woman.

"And now I have you guys, my family." Wanda smiled putting her arm around the girl and pulling her into a side hug.

"I couldn't ask for anything more."

Hayley and Elijah walked into the courtyard and stopped in their tracks seeing Wanda.

Wanda stood and waved with a sweet smile on her face.

Elijah smiled and walked over to the girl, pulling her into a hug.

"Hey 'Lijah." Wanda whispered returning the hug.

Elijah had a few tears falling from his eyes, it had been so long since she left, he thought she wasn't coming back.

"It was dreadful having to take care of this family without you." he said.

Wanda laughed and pulled back, "Well you've got help again." she smiled.

Hayley was crying as well. Wanda looked at her dear friend and opened her arms.

The hybrid engulfed her friend as the two had tears streaming down their face.

"So much for you wouldn't take long." Hayley scoffed while crying.

"That's my bad." Wanda nervously said.

"I'm just happy your finally here." Hayley whispered.

The two women let go of each other and looked around.

"This calls for wine." Klaus happily said.

..,..

It was suddenly dark out and Klaus, Hayley, Elijah, Hope, and Wanda were sat in the living room drinking wine, well except for Hope.

The five were making jokes and talking about the time they had missed altogether.

Outside the compound, Kol got out of his car and sighed.

He had just arrived back from Mystic Falls and Bonnie wasn't able to help him with what he needed.

The vampire was desperate to see Wanda again, but no witch was able to send him to her universe.

He needed to see her again.

Kol twirled the ring he had on as a sign to show he was engaged.

The vampire closes the car door and walked inside when he stopped in his tracks.

There was some of his siblings laughing, with Wanda.

The Original was in a trance, was he seeing things?

Wanda suddenly turned and had the brightest expression he had ever seen on her.

The witch smiled, "Hey love."

..,..

A/n: So... I've continued it :D This will all now be based on what I want to happen and nothing will be based on the Tv shows for Wanda. I might add legacies and some of TO season 5 in here but i will no longer follow Wanda's movie plot, I hope you all are okay with that and enjoy it either way :)
