THEIR LANDING ON TITAN was a rocky and treacherous one and Kaelyn was practically shaking as the situation they were in was truly hitting her for the first time. She was a long, long way from home. Part of her wondered if Beth or Caden had even realized she was no longer on the planet. She knew her parents wouldn't care where she was or what she did. Watching nervously, she bit her nails as Peter and Tony did what they could to move in sync with the controls and land the ship. They were nearing the planet, but nothing could prepare her for the impact upon landing. The land was barren, filled with old, abandoned structures.

"We might wanna turn," Peter suggested as a large structure appeared in their way, "Turn, turn, turn."

"I can't watch this," Kaelyn sighed, but her eyes were peeled to the two anyway. They hit the structure and the girl felt it as she stumbled over, hitting Peter's back before falling onto her back against the ground. Struggling, she managed to stand back up just as they cleared what was left of the structure. Yeah, there was no way the ship was intact after that impact.

Peter turned to look at the redhead briefly before he had to turn back, but she could hear the concern in his voice as he asked, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"Peter, you know the answer to that," Kaelyn responded with a scoff and a small laugh as she brushed herself off. As the ship began to collapse and rip apart, she fell back to the ground. She felt protected and she had a feeling her new suit sensing oncoming impact and covering her had something to do with it. They were all about to be crushed by debris, but the man, Stephen Strange, managed to create some forcefield around them that protected them from any falling pieces. Now she began to understand why Tony continued to refer to him as a wizard. God, what had she gotten herself into? Who even was this guy?

This ship crash-landed and began to slide on the surface of the planet and Kaelyn did all she could to stabilize herself and keep from falling over again. Eventually, she figured it was best to just stay on the ground until the ship ceased all movement. After what seemed like forever, the ship, well, the piece that was left of it, skidded to a halt on the ground. Kaelyn didn't realize how good it would feel to not be moving.

Standing up and brushing herself off as her mask removed itself, she made eye contact with Tony, who had just removed his helmet, also suiting up for the impact, saying, "Hey, I like these new suits."

"You all right?" Doctor Strange asked Tony, as he said yes he turned to Kaelyn with his eyes asking the same question and she nodded. She watched as he helped Tony up off the ground, "That was close."

"I owe you one," was Stark's only response as they regrouped and made sure everyone was okay after the rough landing. Well, rough was a bit of an understatement considering they were likely missing half a ship.

"Let me just say," Peter reclined from the ceiling on a string of web. Kaelyn hadn't even realized he had latched on to protect himself, "if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something and I eat one of you, I'm sorry."

Kaelyn just laughed out loud despite Stark and Strange's confused expressions. She walked over and ruffled his hair muttering, "You're a dork. I'd like to see you try."

Tony simply looked tired, "I do not want another pop culture reference out of you for the rest of the trip, do you understand?"

"I'm trying to say that something is coming," Peter pointed behind him as he spoke. Right as he did this, a small metal ball rolled onto the ground in front of them. Realizing what was about to happen roughly a split second before it did, Kaelyn jumped in front of Peter just before a blast threw them all back.

Kaelyn hit the ground hard. She couldn't remember feeling the wind knocked out of her like that since her cheerleading days. Her first thought once the dust cleared was to make sure Peter was okay. Reaching out, she felt a hand grab hers and interlock their fingers and she sighed with relief. Her eyes met Peter's and once they both realized the other was okay, she could breathe again.

"Thanos!" someone called out before she heard shooting. Suiting up fully, she let go of Peter and launched up. She could see Tony at odds with a masked figure with a gun in one hand and some sort of rocket boosters allowing him to fly.

Over next to her, she saw a woman with antennae growing out of her head going for Peter as he shot webs at her. He jumped away into the rafters, but the masked figure shot something that wrapped around him and caused him to fall to the ground. She felt a hand grab her and yank her up. Thankfully, it was Tony pushing her behind him as she realized the masked figure had a gun to Peter's head. Kaelyn removed her mask as her, Tony, and Strange regrouped.

"I'm gonna ask you this one time," the man asked, moving to point the gun at Tony. "Where is Gamora?"

"Yeah, I'll do you one better," Tony spoke as he removed his mask and shielded Kaelyn behind him, "Who's Gamora?"

The alien Tony was standing on to hold him down spoke next, causing Kaelyn to yelp as she realized he was there. "I'll do you one better, why is Gamora?"

"Tell me where the girl is or I swear to you," he moved his gun so it rest against Peter's temple again, "I'm gonna French fry this little freak."

"No!" Kaelyn exclaimed, but Tony just pushed her out of the fray.

He moved to point his blaster at the figure beneath him, "All right. Let's do it. You shoot my guy and I'll blast him. Let's go!"

"Do it, Quill, I can take it," the creature spoke. It was odd, until today, Kaelyn had never seen a real alien before. Now, she had seen three in the span of a few hours.

"No, he can't take it!" the girl with the antennae still tied up in Peter's webs exclaimed.

Strange agreed, "She's right. You can't."

"Oh, yeah? You don't wanna tell me where she is? That's fine," the man shouted, "I'll kill all four of you and beat it out of Thanos myself."

"We're not with Thanos, dumbass!" Kaelyn exclaimed, "Why else would we kill one of his men and take his ship?"

"Yeah, Thanos?" Strange looked at the redhead and back to the man, "What master do you serve?"

"What master do I serve?" he looked almost offended by the question. "What am I supposed to say? Jesus?"

Tony looked at them with a realization before visibly relaxing, pointing at the man and saying, "You're from Earth."

"I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri!"

"Yeah, that's on Earth, dipshit. What are you hassling us for?"

Peter spoke up from behind his mask, "So you're not with Thanos?"

"With Thanos?" the man repeated with visible disgust. "I'm here to kill Thanos! He took my girl. Wait, who are you?"

Kaelyn scoffed and threw her hands up in frustration, "This is ridiculous! We're on the same side, assholes! Now, let go of my boyfriend! Oh, my God! You guys are so dumb! Drop the gun and give me my man back!"

The blond man removed the gun from against Peter's head but didn't quite let him go yet which made Kaelyn groan. Finally, Peter just removed his mask and muttered, "We're the Avengers, man."

"Oh," the guy muttered, letting go of Peter who stumbled over to Kaelyn's waiting arms. She squeezed him tightly, holding him behind her as she moved to stand next to Tony rather than behind him. She didn't need to be protected.

"You're the ones Thor told us about!" the girl exclaimed, which confused everyone even more. What did Thor have to do with this? Was he here?

"Thor?" Tony asked, his expression lost and confused, "You know Thor?"

"Yeah," the man shrugged, "Tall guy, not that good-looking, needed saving."

Strange heard this and looked just as perplexed, asking, "Where is he now?"

"He's with the other half of our crew. He says he can get a weapon that can kill Thanos," he explained and Kaelyn sighed.

"Oh, God," she muttered, running her fingers through her hair, a nervous habit of hers. "This just got way too complicated."

ahhh and they meet the guardians! im so excited for this story to pick up y'all have no idea UGH im already ready for kaelyn in the final battle and we're not even CLOSE to that (well, we're a little close but there's some more plot in kaelyn's own story line that we gotta get through first)
