     Sometimes you find friendships in the weirdest places, and the weirdest one Megara Montez could come up with was a place where she was pretending to date said friend to boost their social lives and help him win his ex-girlfriend back. 

     Becoming friends with Ricky hadn't been on her bingo for the semester, but now she was knee-deep into his shenanigans, and more than that — his life.  There was something about him that felt like quicksand.  Just when she thought she could calmly get across, she was sucked into his world and more than that — into him.

     Stubborn as ever, Megara and Ricky return to East High after the holidays, still bent on convincing everyone they're a couple.  After their awkward run-in after the High School Musical show, Megara decides there's no room in her life for a crush on Ricky Bowen.  Just as Ricky decides Megara Montez might be the one for him.  But their story is no fairytale, and heartbreak awaits around the corner.
