Chapter Three

she literally just sold eli out

3rd person pov

Sofia woke up and drove to school as she went throughout the day and then she went to the lunch room where they sat at their table and they listened to the guidance counselor talk about bullying. Sofia turned to eli who was staring at the table and she reached over as she grabbed his hand and squeezed. Miguel noticed but he didn't say anything because he thought it was nice that they had gotten so close so fast. 

"cyberbullying is no laughing matter. sending a cruel message to someone online can be just as hurtful as saying it to their face. Im not gonna name names but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying afer some kids online made fun of his facial deformity. but today, our goal here is to make this school a safe space for all students" she said and sofia scoffed 

"safe space?, no one else in this school has a fucking facial deformity. she literally just sold eli out" she exclaimed and eli smiled sadly at her before he shook his head. Miguel then told them about the dojo that he was going to and sofia saw the smile on elis face and she smiled at it. 

They all soon went to their other classes and later that night, sofia went home and laid out her halloween costume for the next day. She sat down on her bed as she let out a sigh and then she heard a knock on the door of the house and her mom was at work so she went downstairs and opened the door to see eli there 

"eli? hey whats wrong?" she asked and he nudged himself forward as he hugged her and she let out a sound of shock as she hugged him back and she let out a sigh as he cried into her shoulder 

"im not weird am i? like you dont think im weird?" he asked into her shoulder and she sighed as she pulled away and looked into his eyes 

"you aren't weird eli, you were born with something that other people don't have and don't understand but it doesn't mean you're weird" she said as she rubbed his back and she held him close 

"sofia, why did we never talk before?" he asked her and she pulled away as they walked into the house and sat down on the couch together. She shrugged and looked around 

"i've never really had any friends, people thought that i was popular so they thought i didn't need friends but just because i didn't need them, didn't mean i didn't want them. I met miguel that one night and i guess hes my first real friend in this whole thing but you're cool eli, like really cool" she said and he smiled at her

"no ones ever called me cool before" he stated 

"well im glad to be the first" she smiled and he did too 

"hey, you're going to the dance right?" he questioned and she nodded 

"yeah i'm going as catwoman" she stated and he tilted his head with a smile and a shake of his head 

"you like dc?" he asked 

"duh, i mean whoever doesn't is a complete weirdo. I like marvel too but i truly prefer dc. Actually to be honest, i have this thing where i like the dc villians and i like the marvel superheros. But i don't like dc superheros or marvel villians" she slightly ranted and he smiled at her 

"didn't know you were such a nerd sof" he said and she shook her head as she nudged him 

"theres alot you didn't know about me before this" she spoke and then she heard elis phone go off and they both looked to see that demetri was texting him about the dance and she smiled at him 

"so the dance... you're going?" she asked 

"yeah, i have to live my high school life at some point ya know?" he said and she nodded 

"yeah you're right and look if anyone gives you shit, i have your back" she stated 

"thanks sofia" 

"anytime" she said and with that they hugged and he left. The dance was the next day and it was a saturday so pure usual, she went to work and talked to emily and marcel for a few hours and then she went home and changed into her costume. She looked at herself in the mirror and she truly enjoyed what she saw so she smiled at herself and then she left the house and got in her car. 

She went straight to the school and she parked her car as she got out and she walked into the school being met with the sight of demetri and eli and they smiled at her 

"well hello catwomen" demetri said and she did a spin with a smile as eli smiled at her. They all stood there talking until they turned and saw miguel walking in dressed as a skeleton and he walked over to them 

"oh, skeleton, classic" demetri said 

"thanks, i like your sorcerer costume" miguel said to demetri and sofia had to stifle a laugh at how offended he looked at his words 

"sorcerer? please, im a necromancer. didn't you see the amulet?" demetri asked and sofia smiled 

"so are you a regular doctor or?" miguel led off 

"plastic surgeon. i fix lips" eli said and sofia smiled sadly at him as she nudged him softly and then miguel smiled at her. The group of them stood together as they watched everyone dance together. They then soon walked over to the punch bowl as they started to drink the punch as they stood therw and looked around 

"okay, are we ready? lets ask the dragon queens to dance" miguel said and demetri and eli said they had to go to the bathroom and she stood there as the notification of aisha got sent and sofia looked at yasmine and she scoffed 

"why do you have to be such a fucking bitch yasmine?" she called out as she followed after the girl. She watched aisha run off and she sighed as she followed after her only to see demetri and eli running out of the locker room. 

"hey, hey whats going on?" she asked and eli stopped 

"they're attacked miguel in the locker room" he said and she scoffed 

"fucking assholes" she exclaimed and she ran to the locker room as she busted open the doors and saw them attacking miguel and she ran over as she punched kyler and then the others 

"get the actual fuck out" she told them as she stood over miguel and she stared at them. They stared at the girl who had bloody knuckles and they ran out of the locker room. She knelt down and nudged miguel to see if he was okay but he didn't say antyhing and then the door opened and in walked his sensei

"hes hurt, bad" she said and he nodded as they helped him up. Johnny looked at the girl and then at miguel. He saw the boys running out with bruises and so he knew he wanted to recruit the girl and he was going to. 

sofia was gonna have to join cobra kai
