THE MOVIE THAT KEVIN had picked was The Edge of Seventeen, no one has seen it but it was supposed to be really good.

Of course, no one else really had a say in what movie they'd see, but they always trusted Kevin to only supply the good stuff for them.

The total for the pizza was around $50, and after they all pitched in and the boxes were handed over to them, it was a feast.

Everyone was tired, but they weren't sleepy. All of them wanted, needed to be in this moment, a moment of tranquility, pure happiness.

Luna leaned her head against Archie's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

Archie had been thinking about what his father said for a while, the joke he made about Luna and him ending up together.

The looks they shared.

He started to obsess over and analyze every little aspect of their relationship. Did any part of it seem like more than it should have?

Did he want more?

No, he already had a girlfriend, and she had her own.

After the looks and touches Cheryl and Luna had shared tonight, there was no doubt in anyone's mind that they were dating again. Clearly, they weren't trying at all to hide it.

But in the back of Archie's mind, he wished they did. He wished he could be happy for the both of them, happy that they were able to find their own tranquility in each other.

But the tiniest part of him, the slightest bit, one atom maybe, felt like he wanted, should have been in Cheryl's place.

And maybe he would have ended up that way if he had just opened his mouth a year ago.

Archie looked towards Veronica, happily nuzzled in between Jughead and Betty, Veronica herself gazed towards her boyfriend and they shared eye contact, a mutual smile on the other's face.

He should have been happy.

Tap Tap.

Archie turned to face the pink fluffball beside him, which just so happened to be Luna.

"Be right back, keep this shoulder warm," she smiled, but suddenly it felt like so much more than a smile for Archie. Suddenly, his heart felt big, his lungs felt small, and his toes started to tingle.

Suddenly, he felt more.

Suddenly, he wanted more.

Luna got up with sore limbs, the odd position that she had found herself contorted in did not benefit her body at all.

Quietly, she padded into the kitchen with bare feet and flipped on the switch.

The entire house was dark right now and Ophelia said she had gone out see some of Riverdale's parents, it was like a reunion for all generations.

In the corner of the room, she spotted the case of water bottles that she was looking for and started towards them.

A knock suddenly stopped her in her tracks and she turned to find Betty leaning against the frame, "I'm offended."

"Offended?" Luna brought her brows together in confusion.

"Yes, why was I not the first person you saw when you came back? Am I not the first person you met? Am I not your first friend?"

"Well technically, Archie was the first person I met and I guess my first-"

"Shut up," Betty accusing pointed a finger at her. "you are a very mean girl."

Luna gasped and got her water, hoisting herself up onto the granite countertops, "I am not."

Betty shook her head and joined her on the counter, "I saw Jughead's school."

Luna nodded, taking a sip of water, "Go on."

"He doesn't know, technically, that I went there, but I saw it, and it's terrible, and I just wish FP was out of jail already. I mean, how long can they actually hold him?" Betty seemed exasperated.

"How's the school?" Luna questioned, already knowing the answer.

"Horrible! There's no WiFi, no doors on bathroom stalls, and drugs are everywhere! It's crawling with these rival gangs and I guess he has a new friend," Betty frowned.

"You don't seem too happy on that last part," Luna raised an eyebrow.

Betty groaned, "It's this new girl, Toni Topaz, he seems content with her. I don't want to be a jealous girlfriend, Lune, okay? But, what if he gets too content with her. It's not like-"

Two minutes in Riverdale and Luna was already Betty's system of relief.

"Betty, shut up. I trust Jughead, you should too, and if he likes this Toni girl then that's a good thing. At least he has someone he can be happy with there because right now it kind of sounds like a prison."

Betty face stayed solemn for a second before a smile broke out, she threw her arms around her best friend and hugged her tightly.

"I adore you, do you know that?" she smiled in a muffled tone.

Luna groaned, "Off peasant!"

Before making a quick dash for the living room.

Betty and Luna had just managed to catch the ending of the movie, and almost everyone was passed out except for Veronica, Jughead, Luna, and Betty.

"How's it going, little sis?" Jughead smiled and Luna rolled her eyes.

"Technically, we've never asked who's older," she informed him and he laughed.

"So," Luna began. "what have I missed?"

"Well for starters my dad is back," Veronica smiled a little and Luna's mouth gaped.

"Really?! What's he like? Betty, tell me what he's like!"

"Haven't met him yet," she put her hands up in defense.

Luna looked to Jughead for answers but he shook his head, "I'm with B."

"Ugh!" Luna threw her head back. "what else?"

"My new school, which is tolerable. I met this Serpent girl who's showing me around, and I'm still trying to get Dad out of jail," Jughead assured her.

Luna frowned, "I haven't seen him yet, sometimes I feel like I abandoned him by leaving, you know?"

Jughead sighed, "He's okay, kind of sensitive to the topic of you, but he's okay."

Luna smiled sadly.

Abruptly, there was movement behind Luna and she felt Kevin start to move off the couch, "Sorry if I'm being a party pooper guys, but I have to go to."

"Really, why?" Luna asked and Kevin made a face.

"Why are you so interested in my business?" this made her smile.

"Glad you said that, because I have to leave also," Cheryl stood up. "need to make sure my mom is still in one piece."

The gang said goodbye to the two friends and sighed once the door shut, now it was only the original five.

"You know, it seems like we've known you forever," Archie smiled from the ground, Luna has moved to Kevin's spot and much to her delight, it was still warm.

"Yeah, you and Ronnie came like a year ago, and you are honestly my favorite people," Betty nodded.

"Eh," Jughead added. "after me of course."

The group laughed.

There was a moment of silence and Luna took that as an opportunity to propose a preposterous idea.

"Do you guys think we could go see FP?"

Archie knitted his brows together, "What, like, right now?"

"I don't see why not," Jughead shrugged, Betty agreed with her boyfriend.

"I'd be down," Veronica smiled.

"Are you sure?" Archie inquired. "if it'd be good, for like, either of you."

Luna bit her lip, "You think he'd want to see me?"

"Of course he'd want to see you!" Veronica told her. "you're his daughter! It doesn't matter when he'd always want to see you."

Betty turned to Jughead, "Did you tell him she's in town?"

Jughead shook his head.

The blonde stood up and held a hand out to Luna, "Well then, I guess this is a great way to surprise him! He must not get many of those in jail..."

"At least he doesn't have to wear one of those horrible jumpsuits..." Veronica shuddered at the idea of the bright orange prison clothing.

"Yet." Jughead held a finger up.

"Dude!" Luna yelled, throwing the nearest pillow at him.

"Sorry, sorry! Dark humor, remember."

Luna rolled her eyes and got up from the couch, all 3 of them started their journey to the Sherrif's station.

"Luna, I can't do this."

"Yes, you can, just say the one word."

"I'm not saying it."

"Saying what?"

"Y-, I'm not falling for that, you little devil!"

Luna smiled widely as she leaned over the counter at the Sherrif's station, resting both her elbows on the top as she watched Sherrif Keller sort through some papers.

"Please? It's my dad, you can't split up a family."

Kevin's dad looked up at her questionably before craning to look behind her and spotting the four friends.

"Alone. You tell no one about this."

"Yay!" Luna threw her hands up in victory. "If I could stretch over this counter I would hug you right now!"

He rolled his eyes, "This is your welcome home present, now go, before I decide to take it back."

"Thank you, Mr. Keller, bye!"

Luna walked towards her friends.

"Mission report?" Jughead asked.

"I can only go alone," Luna frowned.

"Fine, but you have to tell us every detail!" Veronica crossed her arms and Betty smiled.

"Good luck, Lune!"

Archie gave her a supportive smile, "He's gonna be so excited."

"He'll be even more excited when he's out of this hellhole," Jughead chimed in.

Sherrif Keller paused in his tracks, seemingly heading to the break room, and gave Jughead a look.

"No offense, Sherrif! Just that I don't want my Dad here."

He nodded in understanding and started again to take his lunch break.

Luna took a deep breath, "Be back soon, guys!"

She bit her lip as the doors in front of her opened until there was only one thing in sight.

Her dad.
