The Voice

"Ezra." Kanan's voice echoed though the room.

"Master?" He spoke back unsure on what to do.

"Ezra, is that you?" He said trying to get a better connection.

"Yes, yes it is Kanan." Ezra told him, trying not to cry. "Where are you? I don't think we have a lot of time."

"Ezra I'm on the planet Lusio." Kanan told him.

"I've never heard of it." Ezra said.

"Don't worry about it, Hera should know where it is." He told his padawan.

"Kanan?"

"Yes, Ezra."

"Are you really alive?"

"Yes, yes, I am."

A million questions ran though Ezra's head at once.

"Why didn't you come back? Why didn't you come and help me?" He pleaded.

"That's a good question for another time. See you soon my padawan."

"See you soon Master." Ezra said and was back in the room with his crew once more.

"Ezra." Hera said and looked up from the ground to the boy standing above her head.

"I know where he is." The boy said.

Kanan and his two companions opened their eyes.

"Were you able to get though?" The woman asked.

"Yes, he knows and they're coming." Kanan said.

"Will we still be safe?" The girl asked.

"I don't know." Kanan told his friend. "But I have hope."

                           {•-•}

"Lusio, I haven't heard of that planet in a long time. Kanan mentioned it on occasion for a possible base, but the creatures, they're are more of a deadly nuisance." Hera said sitting in the cockpit of the Ghost.

"I'm sure Kanan has the creatures covered." Sabine joked and tried to lighten up the mood by everyone in the Ghost crew was shaken, broken, confused after what had happened in the temple. No one had talked about what they saw except for Ezra telling them about the where Kanan was, everyone seemed to be waiting for their old friend.

"So are we just going to go off and head to Lusio?" Hera asked the crew.

"I'm ready for this."

"I'm ready."

"Let's do it."

"Let's go find Kanan." Hera said and held back tears.

I'm going to see him again.

I'm going to see my Master again.

Kanan, I'm going to see you again.

I've missed you Kanan.

Whop, whop.

The crew thought of their long lost friend and they sat in silence as Hera piloted the Ghost into hyperspace to Lusio.

"Two ships escaped?" Thrawn asked the Captain as he stood facing the window away from the nervous man.

"Yes..yes...I'm afraid so sir." He answered, stuttering.

"We lost both Sabine and Ezra?" Thrawn asked.

The Captain gulped. "Yes."

"You are dismissed." He said not looking at the Captain once, he walked out of Thrawn's room.

"Don't worry Ezra Bridger, we aren't though with you yet." He told the blackness of space.

                           {•-•}

Ezra shuddered in his seat on the Ghost.

"What is it?" Sabine asked, worried, her face illuminated by the blue lights of hyperspace.

"The Empire's not done with me yet." He said and she gulped, for worry of Ezra, for worry of their future and for worry that Tekara might return.

Kanan opened his eyes along with his two friends.

"You got to him?" The woman asked him.

"I did he knows, he's ok, he's coming." Kanan said as the rain started to let up and the sun came out.

"What's he like?" The girl asked Kanan.

"Ezra, he's smart." Kanan started getting lost in memories. "He's witty, annoying and overly protective."

The young girl laughed and Kanan smiled.

"I hope he's ok." The blind Jedi said and stood up.

"He's Ezra, I'm sure he's ok." The woman said and stood up with Kanan, and they both walked outside.

"Hey where are you guys going?" The girl asked as she followed them outside, stepping on the moist platform.

"Wait there." The woman said and the girl frowned.

"Fine." She said and walked back into the hut.

"Kanan are you ready for this?" The woman asked the man.

"I don't know, I have to be but there is something inside of me that can't believe he is coming back. Have you ever felt like that?" He asked her.

She smiled and sighed. "Yes, I have."

Kanan nodded, they might not know all of each other's past, but they respected each other, trust each other. They are good friends.

                           {•-•}

"We are almost there." Hera told the crew.

"I'm not ok, I don't know if I'm ready." Ezra said putting his hands to his face and his elbows on his knees.

"Ezra it's ok, you don't have to be ready." Sabine said rubbing his back. "You just have to believe that it's happening."

"Wow, Sabine getting deep on us." Zeb said and Hera cracked a smile.

"Hey, you're not the only one that can be deep Zeb." Sabine protested and leaned against Ezra.

"Thanks." Ezra said, leaning back on Sabine.

"I would do anything for you Ezra." Sabine said and Ezra smiled.

"I would too Sabine." He said as they cuddled up against one another, Sabine moving to Ezra's chair.

"I know."

                           {•-•}

The young girl sat in the hut in her makeshift bed and thought, thought about what's to come, thought about what would change. I don't want anything to change. She thought. I want it to be like this forever. I don't want to lose Kanan.

                           {•-•}

"Hey Eights do you have any idea what your friends are up to?" Mouse asked him.

"I don't Mouse, they just took off in the Ghost, and didn't report back in." Eights told his friend. "Why do you even care?"

"I just want to now what happened to Sabine." Mouse said.

"Oooo, don't tell me you have a crush on her." Circuits joked and Mouse turned red.

Vent shook his head and said. "Don't even try she's way out of your league."

"I know." Mouse said and ate a waffle.

They all sat in their new ship, the rebellion had given them and talked about the Ghost crew, what Eights had missed in those three years, and their adventure in the Empire.
