Sana was lying on Sidharth's arm at night and doodling with her finger on his chest lost in her thoughts.

Sidharth: What happened Sana? Aren't you sleeping?

Sana: Oh sorry, I woke you up from your sleep.

Sidharth: It's okay sweetheart. What's troubling you? What are you thinking?

Sana: I was thinking about Renuka didi.

Sidharth: What about her? Any problem?

Sana: No, nothing! I was thinking, she is too young to spend her life alone. She lost her father and ended up with Saasumaa. Since Saasumaa is on pilgrimage, she is staying with us. She really doesn't have any home of her self. No permanent place which she could say as her own. She has been spending her life as Jethji's widow past 8 years without spending even a day with him nor does she remembers his face.

Sana: I was thinking if she can get remarried. My jiju was a widower too and now spending his life happily with my didi after getting remarried.

He sits straight closes his eyes and makes a pout. She smiles and puts a blanket over him and pins him down and starts tickling him in turn. He tries escaping but couldn't.

Sidharth: Aww.. Sana I am suffocating..

She stops and removes the covers.

Sana: I am sorry. (Nervously with a puppy face)

He pulls her and smooches her passionately and makes love to her before sleeping cosily in each other's embrace.

Sidharth picks up Sulochana from the railway station and bring her home with him. Both her daughter-in-laws touches her feet seeking her blessing. She hands over the big bag of prasad to Sana.

Sidharth: Maa, I had taken half day leave from college. Will go back to college and return in the evening. You please take rest.

Sulochana: Okay, take care.

Sidharth leaves and Sana keeps hot water in the bathroom for her to take bath. Sana prepares a bed for her to rest while she goes to take bath. Once Sulochana returns she gives her the food to eat.

Sulochana: Sana, Is there any good news?

Sana: (nervously nods no) I have been visiting the doctor.

Sulochana: What will the doctor do? It's been over 2 years that you are staying with your husband and you haven't conceived yet. I am very disheartened. God gave me 2 sons, I lost one at the early stage and the wife of another, can't give me a grandchild. Will Shastri ji's family tree stop here itself?

Sana put her head down quietly listening to all the bitter words Sulochana spitted while eating the sweet dish served by Sana. Renuka stood outside with her head down.

Sidharth returned home. Sana served everyone tea and started grinding flour on mortar for evening dinner. She had to grind more flour than usual as there was an additional person. Renuka was folding the laundry clothes.

Sidharth went to talk to Sulochana.

Sidharth: Maa, I wanted to speak to you regarding Renuka.

Sulochana: What is it Sidharth?

Sidharth: She hadn't even spent a day with Anand bhaiyya but have to spend an entire life as his widow. She needs a permanent support. No matter how much we support her, we can never give her the support she needs.

Sulochana: What do want to say?

Sidharth: We should get her remarried.

Sidharth didn't wanted to give up as he had promised Sana that he will convince her.

Sulochana: I have seen the society and I am sure you won't find anyone, but if you manage to find one then I will agree.

Sana serves them dinner and they disperse to their respective room. Sulochana and Renuka were sharing a room as the other was for Sidharth and Sana.

Sidharth observed Sana being sad and dull.

Sana: Nothing, I am just tired.

Sidharth starts massaging her arms.

Sidharth: You had to grind extra flour today right?

Sana: Yes, it's okay. Leave it please.

Sidharth: If I won't do this who would do it Sana? I am your husband. Well, I have a good news for you. You will be happy. Can you guess?

Sana: (nods no) No.

Sidharth: (frowns) You didn't even wanted to give it a try. Fine! Listen, I've convinced maa for getting Renuka remarried.

Sana: (smiles) Really?

Sidharth: So cute. (Pinches her nose and pecks her lips) Yes, now we have to find a groom who would agree to marry her. It's going to be difficult but we will find one.

Sana: hmmm.. I am happy that atleast you convinced Saasumaa for it.

Sidharth: I had to as I promised you my love. Now can I get an award?

Sulochana: Enough Renuka, go to sleep.

Renuka: Okay Saasumaa.

Sulochana: I asked you a straightforward question Renuka. What is there to not understand? Sidharth was advocating that we should allow you to get remarried.

Renuka: I am not aware of anything. I haven't said anything to him.

Sulochana: I know. He was just concerned for you since he feels you are too young to spend your life alone.

Renuka: It's his greatness otherwise who thinks about women like us? But who else in this society would think like him and be ready to marry a widow?

Sulochana: That's what I told him. But if he finds one then will you marry?

Renuka: I don't know.

There was a silence.

Renuka:  I feel sad to see such a good person like him suffer. He can't have a family because Sana can't conceive. Why can't he remarry instead? And if he thinks that I should remarry then why can't he remarry me? Saasumaa, I don't want to leave this family.

Sulochana was shocked to hear this.

Renuka: What Sana couldn't give to this family, I can give it. A grandson! I am worried for my family.

Renuka successfully sowed the seed of greed. The greed for grandson. Sulochana got up and sat in her bed and looked at Renuka.

Renuka smirks. She was secretly lusting over him whenever she saw him all these days. His care towards Sana was creating jealousy for her and she desired and wished to have him in her life. The moment she heard from Sulochana that he was concerned for her, there was a rippling effect in her emotions. She knew what could work on Sulochana to lure her and grab this golden opportunity.
