Chapter Seven.

Two and half weeks later...

After five minutes of trying to force herself into some jeans, she knew none of them fit anymore. She threw on some sweat pants instead and threw her baggy hoodie on. She wrapped her blonde hair up and threw on her black frame glasses.

She was getting bigger.

And her parents were noticing.

She walked out of her room and went downstairs where her parents were sitting on the couch, whispering to themselves until Lillian reached the middle of the stair case.

"I'm going over to Jeans." she said since school wasn't going on today due to it snowing last night. "We're going to study together for the test on-"

"Honey," her mom cut her off. "Can we talk to you?"

Her stomach twisted and her tongue felt heavy, but she forced herself to nod and sat down at the love seat. "W-what do you want to talk about?" she asked, cursing herself in her head for stuttering.

"Well, sweetie, we...we were wondering if it was too late to talk about the bird and the bees." she said.

Oh god, they know, she panicked as she started to chew on her button lip. "What do you mean, mom?"

She sighed heavily and Lillian guessed she decided to come right out and asked, "Are you pregnant?" she asked. "We've been noticing the signs and darling, we've checked the phone bill and saw one from a boy named Ryan Miller who's you been talking to a alot on the phone..",

She started to sweat. Oh god, here it comes! she thought as she tried to remain calm. Her eyes started to water up, knowing she couldn't hide it anymore. She was showing at only three and half months. A few tears slipped out of her eyes, "I'm so sorry, mommy." she said, taking her glasses off and cried in her hands.

"Oh god," she heard her mom say and Lillian didn't want to look up to see whatever look her father could have. She was scared to see the disappointment on his face. What she didn't expect was an arm to go around her shoulders and smell her mother's perfume, "Shh, it's okay baby.", she said, putting her arms around her to comfort her.

Lillian moved her hands from her face and wrapped them around her mother's waist, crying in her chest, "I'm sooo sorry, mommy. I didn't mean for it to happen, please believe me. I get it if you're mad at me but please, don't stop loving me."

Her mom pulled back and put her hands on her face, lifting her face up to look at her, "Is that what you were so afraid of, honey? Of us not loving you anymore? That can never happen, baby. Your father and I love you so much."

"Y-you're not mad?" she asked.

Her mom stared at her for a second, "We're...shocked. I mean, sweet heart, we never thought you of all people would...get pregnant at sixteen."

"You're disappointed," Lillian said.

Again, her mom hesitated, "Yes," she said and Lillian choked on a cry. "But we still love you." her mom quickly said. "We're going to be here for you, don't worry. You never have to be scared of us not loving you."

"I'm sorry, mom. It was a big of a surprise to me, too." she said. "I didn't even mean to have sex but it just happened."

"Who is the guy?" her father finally spoke up and we turned our heads to him. He didn't look happy, "I repeat, Lillian Chelsea, who is this Ryan Miller?"

Lillian knew they weren't going to like the answer, "Jean's boyfriend."

They both took in a sharp breath and stared at her wide-eyed. "Excuse me?" her dad said, getting up. "How the hell did this happen, Lillian?" her dad practically did all but yell.

"John, calm down." her mom said.

"No Jennifer," he said. "Lillian, tell me."

Lillian swallowed the lump that formed in her throat, "It...it was that party I went to in November. I...I got drunk and we were talking in a bedroom alone about Jean; one thing led to another."

"So he took advantage of you?" her father hissed.

Lillian shook her head, "No, no, daddy. I could have stopped it but I didn't. I even kissed him. But the thing is he used a condom! I saw the empty wrapper." she said. "But it must've broken somehow."

"Oh god," her mom said again as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Okay, things happened. If God didn't want this to happen, he would have prevented it."

"I want to talk to that boy." my dad said, pointing at her and her eyes widen. "I'm serious, Lillian. If he's man enough to have sex with you, he's man enough to talk to me."

"No!" Lillian said. She found that to be not only embarrassing, but stressful. "Daddy please, you don't have to."

He shook his head, "No, Lillian. This weekend, I want him here or I will find his home address and go over there. This is his child, right?"

Lillian nodded, "Yes."

"Then he should have no problem coming over." he said. "Lillian, I'm your father, it's my job to make sure you're taken care of. From what it seems like, he hasn't stepped up to anything. This is Jeanette's boyfriend, how the hell did this happen!?" he cried out and ran his hands down his face. "Lillian, has he denied this baby?"

She shook her head, "No, he says he'll be there to help if I decided to keep it, but...but I don't know what to do. I'm so, so, so scared."

Her mom rubbed her shoulders and kissed the side of her head, "It's going to be okay, sweet heart."

"Brad's not going to like this at all." her dad said to himself.

"Oh dad, can we please not tell him until he comes home in March." Lillian asked. "Please, I want to be the one to tell him, not him finding out over the phone."

Her dad nodded slowly, "Your right, but he's going to flip when he finds out someone impregnated his sister. Better be prepared for his reactions." he said. "Now, can I please get a hug?" he asked, holding his hands out.

Lillian didn't hesitate. She quickly got up and went in her father's arms, putting her arms around him. He held onto her as hard as he could since her small belly was poking his stomach a little.

He sighed heavily and rubbed her back, "Everything's going to be alright, honey."

She just nodded against his chest, feeling a nice relief lifting off her chest now that her secret was out to her parents. It went suprisingly much better than she expected but she knew her father was controling his shock and anger rather then yelling at her. Now all that's left is Jeanette and she knew she wasn't going to be as kind as her parents.

Later that day, Lillian sat in Ryan's car in the park they were at when Lillian told Ryan she might be pregnant. He said he wanted to talk to her since she was completely ignoring him ever since he didn't show up to the ultrasound.

Her hands were together and placed over her stomach as she stared down at the dash board. The only noise coming from the radio was turned down.

Awkwardness was filling the air and neither made any noise.

Lillian decided to break it, "I told my parents." she said.

She felt his gaze on him, "You did? And?"

"Well, they more or less found out." she said. "They were shocked and disappointed but told me they'll be there for me."

"That's good," Ryan said. "Have you thought about what you're going to do?"

Lillian breathed out roughly and rubbed her right temple, "That's the thing, Ryan!" she snapped, turning her head to look at him. "I don't want to make this decision alone. I want you to help me. Do you want this baby?" she asked.

Ryan mouth opened, but no words came out. A moment later, "I think...I think this should be your decision since you're the one-"

"Oh just shut up." she said, looking out the front window now. "You're the one that got me pregnant with your sperm, so get over the fact. We made this baby together, I'm just carrying it. I'm not asking you to be with me, I'm just asking you to be there for me. I need to know you'll be there to see and know your child if I do plan to keep him or her. If you're not going to stick around, I want to give it to a couple who'll both be there."

"Do we need to make a decision now?" he asked and Lillian hadn't seen him this scared since a month ago.

"No, but we should figure it out soon." she said.

He nodded and looked down at his lap. It was a moment before he spoke again, "Lillian, I'm sorry I didn't make it two and a half weeks ago. I was scared, that's all. Not because of my family finding out but to actually see it's real. To actually see I am going to have a kid."

"You don't think I was scared, too?" she asked. "But after I saw him, I couldn't help but light up. It was a surprisingly beautiful sight."

"I got the picture, it kind of creeped me out." he said. "3D is some pretty scary shit."

"Speaking of your family," Lillian said. "When are you going to tell them? It should be soon because my dad wants to talk to you this weekend."

He looked at her confused, "What? Your dad?"

She nodded, "Yes, he does want to meet the guy who got his daughter pregnant."

"Do I have to?"

"Unless you want him to stalk you down and go to your house, you'll have to." she said and he sighed, running one of his hands down his face.

"Promise to save me if he decides to try and kill me?" he asked.

She couldn't help but find that funny, "Yeah, but only if you promise to go to the next ultrasound to find out the sex with me."

He nodded and took in a deep breath, "Promise."

"Good.", she said. They stared at each other as they nodded about the plan. Something weird happened though. Lillian wasn't sure if it was her pregnancy hormones or if she actually thought it, but she found Ryan to look a little handsome today.

She didn't know why since he was in his usual worn out blue jeans, grey t-shirt, and soccer team jacket; his usual look. His hair was the usual pushed back and there was nothing else special about him.

So she's wondering why she feels this sudden attraction towards him.

No! Not going to happen, she angrily thought to herself and looked away. She's already pregnant with his kid; she does not need to grow 'those' kind of feelings for him. No. Nope. Never.
