Chapter 2
The next morning started at 4:45 am. Hustling to get out of my apartment and to the gym for a training session before classes all day long. I was working on getting toned for my newest movie. Well actually my first ever movie.
I had auditioned when I first moved to New York. My agent had told me it would probably be a no just because I was so young, but it had come back as a yes, and we celebrated. Being sixteen was hard. Only a month away from seventeen, but still too young to do anything.
Moving with other students, I filed into the lecture hall. A couple of girls were giggling in the back, and a group of guys were in the dead center of the rows of seats. I sighed and moved down to the front of the lecture hall. I sat in the front row, and pulled out my laptop, and notebook. Setting all of my things out, I fiddled with my hair. I was definitely the youngest in the class, and the professor tended to favor me because I was so willing to learn.
Professor Daniels stood at the front of the white board and was writing down a name.
Adam Driver
My heart practically stopped. This was the man I would be starring along side, here. Talking. I scribbled down the name, and waited for him to begin his lecture.
"Good morning Ladies and gentlemen!" He smiled. "So, today we have a guest speaker. He is a very very talented actor, and has worked on twenty plus big films, as well as smaller more independent films. He will be sharing his story as well as teaching you how to find normal in the crazy. So please welcome, Adam Driver!" We all clapped as a large man strode to the front of the room.
My mind cleared and I immediately met his eyes. Holding contact I felt myself drown in them, they searched my own with interest before I broke the contact feeling my cheeks heat. All blood was rushing to my head.
I drew my lower lip in and caught it with my teeth. His raven hair was combed to perfection, and regal features made me blush hard. He was truly gorgeous.
"Good morning." His voice was like velvet and I melted. This man was perfection. Pure and utter appeal, beautiful in his own ways.
I settled in for the session. The entire time, I felt his eyes wander to me. Biting my lip gently, I let out a soft breath. His molten eyes snapped to mine. Electricity buzzed in the air around us as he continued to talk. I had to get out. This was too much for me. Air was hard to gasp for. He was too much for me.
I snapped back for his final words. "I am actually going to be working on a new movie soon, so look for it in theaters in 3 years." The class laughed. "Thank you for your attention. I will be around if you have questions."
Packing my things up, I stood quickly, my small skirt riding up my thighs. Tugging it down, and tucking my hair behind my ear, I filed down to the front of the room. As I tried to push my way out of the lecture hall, a voice stopped me.
"Miss Bennett."
I turned to run head on into Adam. "I'm so sorry!"
"You are perfectly fine my darling." He smiled.
A blush crept up my cheeks and curled around my face. He was perfect. Lost in his eyes and regal features, I could barely hear or make sense of what was happening around me.
"Ah, Adam, you met my prized pupil, Miss Delilah Bennett." Professor Daniels came up behind me and placed his hands on my shoulders.
"Delilah." He grasped my outstretched hand. "A pleasure." Holding my hand gently he brought it to his mouth.
My cheeks bloomed with redness. "Mr. Driver." I murmured.
"Please, call me Adam."
"Delilah is going to begin filming a movie in a month." Professor rattled on, completely oblivious to the flames that were coursing through the two of us. I could hardly hear the man behind me. Adam's burning eyes melted my soul and connected me to him.
"I should get going, I have a training session." For some reason the words left my mouth and Professor Daniels lifted his hands from my shoulders. Adam dropped my hand, and a shot of ice ran up my arm.
"Of course!" Adam smirked at me. "I would love to walk you out."
"Bye Professor."
"Thank you Delilah." Daniels smiled and waved at the two of us. Adam threw on a blazer and twisted his Rolex on his wrist. His designer sunglasses were black, just like the rest of his clothes.
I was practically drooling over a man who was at least twenty years my senior. My brain forced me to snap out of my haze. Stepping out of the room and into the hall a wave of fresh air washed over my heated face.
"So, Miss Delilah Bennett." Adam quirked a brow. A small smirk played on his lush lips. "You wouldn't happen to be the same Delilah who is playing Vanessa, who happens to be my character Owen's obsession?" We stopped at the bottom of the stairs right outside the building.
I looked up sheepishly. "Yea. Surprise." I turned, trying to cover my red face. The itsy bitsy skirt I had chosen the night before was not as logical as I had hoped for, as it rode farther up my legs. His gaze moved from my exposed collar bone to my shapely bottom and legs.
"Its not a bad surprise." He gently moved a piece of my hair from my shoulder. "I will see you soon, Miss Delilah."
"Delilah." I grasped his hand. "Please. Just call me Delilah."
"Then you must call me Adam. None of his Mr Driver non-sense." He persuaded.
"Fine." Nodding, I looked past him. "I really should be going."
He sighed and released my hand. "Alright. I will see you in two days for our first read through."
"Bye."
Waving Adam strode off and got into an awaiting Escalade. I turned and began my long walk to the gym.
I needed to hit something.
Immediately.
