Sidharth couldn't get over Shehnaaz's eyes which he saw when she turned and looked at him before disappearing inside the compound. He wasn't happy at all with the decision to marry Riya. He stepped into the shower and turned it on..

"Varun dev (God of rain), what's wrong with you? Why can't you bless us with rain in abundance? Please some more rain, please", she begged with her folded hands looking up at the shower.

He looked at her with an exasperated expression. He grabbed her arms and dragged her out of the room.

"Varun dev, this isn't fair. You have to fulfill our demands. You can't send your bodyguard to throw me out of your courtroom. I will sue you. You can't silence me. I will rebel and go on strike.", She screamed on top of her voice.

He smiled standing under the running shower, reminiscing their first encounter. Soon the smile disappeared and he became sad again. He closed his eyes but it reminded him of the time he spent with her at the beach. Her face when she closed her eyes and spread her arms standing at the beach. He then reminisced their hug on the beach. He fling opened his eyes.

I love her. How can I marry someone else? Maa said not to marry someone if you don't intend to keep it for life time. I can't love someone and marry someone else to recreate the same mistake my parents did.

He wiped himself and dressed up in a casual t-shirt. He started his car and drove in silence. He turned on the radio in his car. The feature which he had never used in his car.

It was the same song which Shehnaaz sung in drunk state. Everything around him was reminding him of her and he cursed himself for falling in love when he had been denying the existence of love all his life.

He pulled his car and checked his watch. The clock striked 11:35pm. He stood hesitantly infront of the door, exhaled and then pressed the doorbell. He waited for few minutes until the lights went on inside the house and the door was opened by a man in his 60s.

"Sidharth Mittal?", The man sighed in surprise.

"I want to see my maa.", Said Sidharth.

"Please come in. I'll inform her.", Said Solanki.

Sidharth nodded and sat on the living room sofa while Solanki went his room and looked at Arushi who was staring at Sidharth's childhood photos like every other day.

"Stop staring at that album Aru.", said  Solanki.

"Hmmm.. who was it?", She asked running her hands over one of the picture of Sidharth.

"It's the same person, whose picture you are adoring right now.", Said Solanki.

Her hands froze for a moment, her heart skipped a beat as she tried to register what she just heard. She looked at him in shock.

"Sidharth?", She asked and Solanki nods yes with a smile.

"He is in the living area waiting for you.", Said Solanki but before he could complete his sentence, Arushi was already up on her feet running towards the living room. She got a glimpse of him as he sat on the sofa and looked around the whole house.

"Sidhaaarth", she said running closer to him.

He got up and hesitantly looked at her. She looked into his eyes which had pain.

"Are you alright, Beta?", She asked.

He hugged her. She had tears in her eyes. Even though they met yesterday, they had formal meeting like strangers but today it was a son meeting his mother.

"You know Sidharth, when you were little and used to fall and get hurt, you came and hugged me in a same way. Today you've fallen again. Fallen in love and hurt yourself.", She said caressing his back softly.

"How do you know maa?", He asked.

"I don't know.. but I just know. I can feel you and all I can say is that even I had been through it myself.", She said.

He pulls out of the hug and wipes the tears in the corner of his eyes with the back of his palm.

"Sorry. Did I disturb you so late at night? I shouldn't have come at this time.", He said.

"Yes, you did disturb me. I was spending my time with my son.", She said.

"Aaa.. aaaa.. sorry. How old is he?", He asks feeling guilty.

"31 year old.", She said looking at him with a subtle smile.

"Huh?", He looked up and saw her face in surprise.

"I was looking at your pictures in the album.", She said.

"Do you have them?", He asked surprised.

"Yes, you want to see?", She asks and he nods. She takes him to her room where she was sitting earlier.

Solanki was reading a book sitting on the bed resting his back to the headrest. He looked up and smiled to see his wife's smiling face.

"Come Sidharth.", She said pulling Sidharth by his arm.

"I will sleep in the other room today.", Declared Solanki and excused himself to give them the space they needed.

Sidharth and Arushi looked at the pictures and Arushi described the incident behind almost every picture in an animated way. They both laughed together.

"I missed you maa", he said looking at her face. She hugged him with moist eyes.

"I missed you too Sidharth. I used to stalk you all this years secretly", she confessed.

"Huh? And I thought you were busy with your family.", He said.

"Hmm.. I did give them time but how can I forget you? You are a part of me even if you were away and angry.", She said.

"So do you have other children than me?", He asks.

She nods yes.

"One daughter, Saanvi. She is sleeping in her room. I'll introduce her to you in the morning.", She said.

"How old is she?", He asked.

"17 year old.", Said Arushi.

"Hmmm.. Maa, I am hungry.", He whined like a little kid again.

"Come with me. I had actually made your favourite dessert for dinner." She takes him to the kitchen and pulls out carrot halwa from the fridge.

"Ummm... I missed it all this years.", He said putting a small amount of sweet into his mouth and licking his finger.

"Wait, I'll microwave it and then put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it just the way you like it.", She said.

He grins and nods. She pats his cheeks with a smile and kisses his forehead before heating the sweet and putting a scoop of ice cream over it by serving it into two bowls.

"You are also going to eat?", He asks.

"Ofcourse! And feed you from my bowl as well as usual.", She says. They both laugh and devour the sweet while she did give few bites in between from her bowl.

"Do you want to eat something else?", She asks.

"Hmm.. I want to eat everything you made for me earlier but not now. Right now, can I sleep in your lap after getting my oil massage?", He asked.

She nods and heats a little oil and massages his scalp. He was experiencing absolute ecstatic getting his favourite massage from his mom after a almost 2 decades.

"So you love her and what about her?", She asks.

"I don't know. Do you think she loves me? Cause there is just 2 days left for marriage and she is setting me with her cousin and cousin just agreed as well. She asked me to talk to her daddu tomorrow to ask them to exchange the bride.", He complains.

"Don't do that Sidharth. It's better to stay bachelor than marry someone who you don't love. Do you think you can forget her by marrying her cousin?", She asks.

"No. I don't want to marry either. I will reject the proposal itself. I don't want daddu's property. If he throws me out, then I will stay with you. Let daddu stay alone in Mittal house.", He frowns.

Arushi laughs.

"Wise decision to cancel the wedding. Keep her friendship though cause you are a different person around her. A happier and tension free person.", She suggests.

"Hmmm.. You are my best friend.", he gets up and curls up in the bed placing his head into his mother's lap. He falls asleep like a little baby in her lap while she caressed and stroked his hair gently.

Next morning, Arushi introduces Saanvi to Sidharth. Saanvi jumps in joy and shows him all the rakhi collection she collected over the year eversince she realised that she has a big brother. Sidharth hugs her warmly and spends sometime with them having breakfast. He then bids bye to them and drives to Saxena's house.

He is met with Riya at the gate and he decides to speak to Riya before calling off the marriage.

"I am sorry Riya but I can't marry you.", Says Sidharth.

"I already have a boyfriend jiju. I was just trying to get reaction out of you and my Di. You atleast took initiative but she seems to be a hard nut to crack.", She says annoyed.

"Hmmm.. you saved me an embarrassment. I was thinking how you will feel if I reject the proposal.", He said.

"Just marry Di. She will fall for you eventually. How can someone resist handsome and loving man like you Jiju..", said Riya.

"No.. I don't want to go against her wish. She said she will prefer jumping under the train.", He said.

"What the hell! Di has lost her mind.", Riya said in frustration.

"I am going to speak with your daddu and call off the marriage.", Says Sidharth.

"Hell!! No!! Daddu has already got one attack before and he had taken a promise from her to marry you while having one.", Riya says.

"Shehnaaz heard him while he spoke to my daddu that he faked it to get her agree for marriage. She doesn't want to marry me neither want to break the promise.", He tells her.

"So the culprit is my own daddu. Jiju, I think instead of talking to my Daddu, you should speak to Mittal daddu.", She suggests.

Sidharth ponders for a while and agrees. He goes to Mittal houses and denies to marry Shehnaaz and tells Somesh clearly that he isn't even interested in his will. He warns him that he will go and stay with his maa if he tries to force him to marry Shehnaaz.

Somesh calls and informs Ramesh about Sidharth's decision. Everyone at Saxena house start inquiring about the reason and ask Shehnaaz if she was behind it. Shehnaaz was taken aback as until yesterday night he had agreed to marry Riya. She calls Riya and inquires to which Riya tells her everything and the conversation that took between her and Sidharth few hours back.

"Di, you wanted to marry someone who would love you the way you love, he already proved it by denying to marry you. Though his only reason to marry was to get the will, he has rejected that as well. He may have not said in words but I feel he loves you. You lost a diamond in search of gold", Riya states and leaves.

She looks at her parents who were disturbed and worried of her future. Her uncle aunt reminded how society will taunt and make fun of the girl whose marriage gets called off. Ramesh was frustrated and felt stranded by his best friend, Somesh. Shehnaaz didn't realise earlier that everyone would be so much affected by her decision.

"Vroooooommm.... Vrooooooooommm.. peeeeeepp peeeeeppp... Make way.. make way for Shehnaaz Saxenaaa's auto...", Screamed Shehnaaz sitting in the back seat in an auto rickshaw. The Rickshaw came to halt infront of the gate of Mittal House.
