"I love you, Lucky." Said a delicate voice from behind me. I turned and came face to face with my mother, a sad smile plastered on her face. Confused, I took a step closer but only ended up a foot away from her.

"Don't try, darling. It's no use, " she said, her eyes shutting halfway as her smile grew and a tear rolled down her cheek.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked and took another step closer. Like before, I ended up a foot away. Panicking, my eyes widened. I glanced back at my mother to see pools of water filling her eyes and a dark aura surrounded her body.

Taking in my surroundings, I noticed that everything was red. There was an empty space, us taking up most of it.

I took another step and the same thing happened. Frowning, I picked up my pace and before I knew it, I was running.

"Lucky, stop. You're making this worse for me."

I directed my frown towards my mother and shook my head.

"Why are you leaving?" I asked seeing that the black aura was almost completely covering her. She backed away and forced a grin which only made the pain in my chest increase.

"I love you, baby."

Just like that, she slipped right through my fingers.

My eyes widened and I stretched out my hand. With no warning, an ear-piercing scream erupted in my throat, escaping through the cracks of my lips before soaring in the air.

My jaw slacked even further and my eyes began to sting. Tears were waltzing down my flushed cheeks, my heart felt like it was about to explode, the air thickened and everything grew silent.

"Mom?!" I yelled, finally coming to a halt. My knees buckled and I fell to the ground nearly crushing my kneecap in the process.

I got no response.

"Dammit, mother! Where are you?!"

No response.

All of a sudden, a ringing sound merged with the air. I furrowed my eyebrows and sniffed. The sound grew louder and I groaned, covering my ears as my head started spinning.

With each second, the ringing got louder and I couldn't take it.

Blue gasped as he flung from the couch, his heart pounding against his chest. Gulping, he ran his fingers through his hair and sucked in a deep breath.

What was that? He thought.

Blue averted his eyes from his lap and looked at the clock on the wall. '10:05' it read.

It was pitch-black outside, the streetlights were off and the house was dead silent. He could only hear his breathing and the wind clashing with the windows of the house.

"Mom?" He called out as he stood up from the sofa, making his way through the kitchen.

He got no response.

His heart sank as he remembered what happened in his dream.

"Mama, where are you?" He called out again. She was supposed to be home by now, she worked an afternoon shift and get off at six.

Blue matched over to the living room and proceeded to grab the home phone but it rang before he could dial his mother's number.

"Hello?" He answered after placing the phone to his ear. There was a small sniff before someone finally spoke up.

"Lucky."

Blue instantly recognized the voice and scowled.

"What do you want, Adriana?" He spat, not wanting to greet his aunt appropriately.

She sniffed again before saying, "It's your mother."

Blue's chest tightened and he gripped the phone.

"What's wrong with her? Where is she? Why isn't she home yet?" He filled his aunt with questions.

"She..." She couldn't finish her sentence. She just broke down.

"Where the fuck is my mother?!" Blue yelled getting irritated. Adriana paused and shuffled a little.

"I-I'm sorry, " she said. A growl escaped from Blue's lips and his eye twitched.

"Look, quit playing games and tell me where-"

"Your mother is dead, Lucky."

As those words left Adriana's lips, the blood in Blue's body ran cold and the sound of his aunt's cries filled his ears.

"Sh-she had a heart attack at work a-and they rushed her t-to the hospital... But it was too late." She managed to spit out. Another round of wails erupted from her mouth as the phone fell from her hand.

Blue stood there not being able to say or do a thing. He could not breathe, it was too much at that moment. His chest was agonizingly unbearable.

The phone slipped from his fingers, and he felt tears prick his eyes.

This isn't true, he thought. He tried to titter it off, though it was inappropriate to do so at that moment, he did not care. His mind was far gone to process what he was doing.

During all this, Regina, Chance's mother heard about everything the minute Blue's mother collapsed at work. After hearing the news, Chance immediately rushed out of his house in search of him.

He lived ten minutes away from their house, just around the corner. His heart was racing with time, sweat trickled down his flesh as he panted and ran down the street. He wanted to see Blue, no, he needed to see Blue.

The front door of Blue's house was already open when Chance arrived there. He scrambled through the door, his eyes touching every corner of the place.

"Lucky!" He called out. The house fell silent and Chance began to panic. "Lucky, where are you?"

He rushed up the stairs and went straight to Blue's room. He pushed the door open and looked everywhere but could not find him.

Chance cursed and ran down the stairs, thinking of possible places Blue would go to.

Then it clicked.

With a small groan, he ran out of the house and made his way to the cemetery. Some streetlights around the area were burnt making it difficult to see anyone around him, but he continued running nonetheless.

When he finally stumbled at the entrance of the cemetery, he searched around the place before his eyes landed on London's grave.

He wasn't there.

"Dammit, where on earth did he go?!" Chance yelled, gripping his hair in frustration as he clenched his teeth and ran out of the cemetery. He then pulled out his phone and dialed his mother's number.

"Can you find out where Blue is for me? If he's at an aunt, uncle, something?!" He shouted into the phone. After replying with a yes, his mother hung up. Seconds went by, and they soon turned into minutes before his mother called back.

"He's not at any of his aunt's or uncle's house, " His mother said.

"Fuck." Chance cursed as he hung up. He paced around, groaning on and off. His eyes landed on the ground and his heart sank. There was blood splattered against the stones beneath him.

He is eyes followed the trail until they landed on the other side of the road. He then turned to face the road and from a far distance, he spotted a boy clutching onto the railing of a bridge, very close to the abandoned building Chance and Blue once was.

Something snapped in Chance and a faint gasp escaped his lips as he trotted towards the bridge.

"Don't you fucking do it, dude!"

Hearing Chance's voice, Blue bawled louder, his chest burning up from the screeches leaving his parted, bitter lips. He rocked himself back and forth as his knuckles turned white from gripping the iron in his hands so tightly.

"Go away, " Blue mumbled. His eyes were widened and his teeth tugged on his bottom lip. He felt like he was slowly losing his sanity. He could feel it slip right through the cracks of his mind, leaking out from his ears before falling into the shallow river beneath him.

Chance rushed to him and grabbed a hold of his hand. Blue hissed and pulled his hand away, hurting himself additionally in the process.

Chance glanced down at Blue's wrists then at his hands to see a dark shade of red liquid covering his entire palm.

"Jesus Christ." He exhaled. Not giving Blue a second to say anything, Chance pulled him in for a hug, squeezing him so tightly that Blue's wind supply was cut off ephemerally.

"Let me go." Blue breathed out. He grunted and shifted a little. Chance frowned deeply and shut his eyes.

"What were you thinking?" He asked, his voice cracking at the end of his sentence. Blue paused and his heart skipped a beat.

"You never came back, " Blue muttered feeling another round of sobs attack him.

"I'm sorry, " Chance apologized. At that moment, Blue's knees buckled. Chance noticed and held onto him a little tighter, bringing him down.

He laid Blue flat on the ground and knelt next to him as the boy's eyes slowly began to shut.

Chance pulled out his phone in a panic and dialed the only number that came to mind.

"Hello?"

"I need a fucking ambulance right now!"

"Calm down, sir. Where are you?" The woman behind the phone asked. Chance groaned but replied, "I'm on the bridge next to the Catholic Cemetery on Jalice street. Please hurry. He's bleeding everywhere."

Chance hung up and dropped the phone, quickly applying pressure to Blue's cuts.

"Dammit, Blue!" Chance cried out in frustration. Every noise around him seemed distant, the air was thick and hot: everything was a frustrating mess.

The sound of alarms filled the air and Chance grinned, glancing down at the unconscious boy in his arms.

"Don't you dare give up on me, " he whispered. Chance leaned forward and brushed the boy's hair back, his bloody fingers leaving red marks on Blue's forehead. Not resisting the urge, he pressed his lips against the cold, pink lips of Blue.

For a split-second, everything felt okay, but of course, the paramedics pulled him away from Blue and told him to stay back whilst they lifted him off the ground.

Sniffing, Chance stood up as well and rubbed his nose with the back of his hand as he felt himself draw closer to tears. All he could do now was watch as they placed Blue's pale body in the vehicle with one thought clouding his mind,

I mean he'll be okay, right?

This chapter is shitty :/

I'll probably edit it later.
