Chapter Twenty
Unicorn Horns
"We should be safe in here." Arthur spoke, turning the knob to a room, we both walked inside and locked te door from the inside.
"Arthur?" I called out as I walked furthering into the room, admiring the large paintings on the wall.
"Yes?" He asked, he began searching through the drawers, I'm not sure what he was looking for though.
"I just wanted to ask, do you think that I should set this demon free? He said that he wanted Johnny dead as much as we do and-" he cut me off there as he closed a drawer, "No, _______, he's a demon and is probably lying. I know he might seem convincing, but he's a liar." He spoke, concerned.
At that moment, the amulet heated up and Justin appeared in front of me, he tuned to face Arthur and frowned, raising a finger at him, "Why you listen, punk, I may be a demon, but saying I'm a liar because of that is just being racist."
He crossed his arms and laughed, "Besides, who could possibly be lying when they said that they hate Johnny that bastard?" He glared.
Justin turned towards me and raised a brow, "I can't believe you fell for this twat."
My eyes widened and I felt my face heat up, "Shut up and go back into the necklace!" I ordered.
Justin laughed, taking a glance at Arthur, "Yeah, right, because I'm going to make this situation less ackward when I'm gone." And in an instant, he was gone.
I looked over at Arthur for a moment before looking away, "You fell for me?" He asked.
I covered my face with my hand, "N-no, please don't make this more ackward now."
He smiled slightly and began, "That's a real shame, you know, because I do happen to have feelings for you." He admitted.
My eyes widened again and I felt my heart beat take off, "Y-You do? I stuttered.
He nodded, causing me to press my hand against my face, "Okay, so maybe I might have some feelings.. For you." I blushed intensely. I felt terribly uncomfortable but also happy, extremely happy, he liked me too!
I my blushing self formed a smile, as I did, I felt him take hold of the hand I had covering my face, he leaned in quickly and kissed me passionately.
I intertwined my fingers with his on my hand as we broke the kiss.
I grinned as he smiled, "I didn't mean to do that, but I don't regret it." He explained.
"This is fucking disgusting." Someone sneered, causing his and my smile to fade away. We turned towards the person who said that only to see Justin sitting on a chair, crossing his legs.
"What are you doing back out?" I hissed.
"Well, I was exploring and did you know that old man helped his son?" He popped his neck to the side and laughed, not breaking eye contact with us, "What a surprise, huh?" He asked.
"He might be his father, but that doesn't meant that he helped him." Arthur frowned.
"Yeah, it kinda does, brows."
"Don't call me that!"
"Then don't interrupt me."
"I didn't! You literally stopped talking!"
"You're annoying." Justin rolled his eyes, "Besides, while exploring, I saw him and Samantha headed upstairs towards the others, would you say that the old man is truly someone you can respect given this knowledge."
Arthur's eyes widened, "What?"
"Looking at this whole situation from afar, we really should have seen this coming." I muttered.
"Well, yeah, but he's old, alone, what harm could he possibly do?" He asked.
"He's with Samantha now, though." I spoke.
"You're right." He looked around the room and took a step away, walking towards the drawers again, "When I find the thing I'm looking for, I'm going to go and warn the others, but you have to stay here, got it?" He asked.
Of course I wasn't going to listen, "Alright." I lied.
He nodded and looked through some drawers, erring desperate every moment he wasted, "Where is it?" He muttered.
"What are you looking for?" I asked, wanting to help him.
"Ugm, it's a book." He responded shortly before realising something. He walked beside the bed and stepped on the wood below him, putting pressure on the wood boards beneath him as if there was something hiding.
"Ah, here we go!" He smirked, kicking the ground beneath his right foot, surprisingly the wooden board broke in two and he took his foot out of the ground. He knelt down and pulled out a jaw dropping satchel and from it, pulled out an old looking book.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Is that what I think it is?" Justin asked, popping up beside him.
Arthur frowned, moving the book away from him and walking towards me, "This is a magic book, it'll help me to slow down that old man and Samantha." He smiled proudly.
Again, Justin popped up between us, "Yeah right, that magic is way too strong for you, mate, why don't you just hand it here." He reached for the book only to have his hands slapped away, "Stop." Arthur glared.
Justin frowned, taking a step away he finally agreed, "Fine, bastard."
Arthur rolled his eyes, opening the book and flipping to a page with a clock on it, "This will surely slow them down." He smiled.
"That's black magic, kid, don't you think a demon like me should take care of that?" Justin smiled, offering his services once again.
Arthur shook his head and held the book with one hand, with his other hand, he raised it above his head and began chanting the words in the book.
Moments later, we looked around the room, then the lights began flickering... Very slowly...
"Haha, wow!" Justin grinned, putting a hand on my shoulder, "Would you look at that kiddos, it worked."
Arthur smiled over at me, "Now, I'll go deal with those two, or just go tell Francis and Antonio and the Pasta brothers about the two."
I nodded, watching as he pushed the book into the gloriously stitched satchel and putting it over his shoulder.
He cupped my cheek, pulling me close and gently kissed me once more, "I won't be long, so say here." He smiled as we parted.
"Alright, be careful though." I smiled.
He ran past me, leaving the room and running upstairs, he was pretty quick.
I smiled as I kept my distance.
"Didn't he tell you to stay in that room?" Justin arrogantly asked as he followed behind me.
I smiled curling my hair with my finger, "yeah, but come on, no one can tell me what to do, and please, who actually believed I was going to stay in there?" I asked.
My head began to feel warm as Justin smiled, "Good point, kiddo, say now, while you're breaking the rules, why not set me free already?" He grinned.
I smiled at him once again, "Weren't you listening? No one can tell me what to do... In fact, I want a unicorn!"
His eyes widened as he glared at me, "Why you little-" his words became muffled as he turned into a unicorn.
I laughed as I jumped on, "Onward!" I ordered, and so, he began running down the hall until we made it towards the staircase, you have to walk on stairs, they can be so dangerous!
"Now, where do we go?" I asked under my breath, to which my unicorn stomped his foot twice.
"What? Be quiet, you'll get us caught!" I scolded, flicking the horn, in an instant Justin turned into a person again, I felt as if I were falling until he caught me in his arms.
His face was red and in his deepest voice, without looking at me, he spoke, "Never do that again... Ever." He spoke.
He set me down without another word, leaving me to wonder...
--------------------------
Oh look! You've made contact with him! You like, kissed and stuff.. Hm
Believe it or not, that kind of stuff makes me uncomfortable so I try to avoid it xD
"Oh but you've written like so many 'x reader' stories!!"
Yeah, well they're still entirely terrifying to me, commitment.
As for the 'human touching' thing, hand holding and hugs from the back are ok to me depending on the person, but besides that, stay like a yard away from me, I can't handle that.
Anyways, do you all remember that whole organising bullshit I talked about a few chapters ago, well yeah, I'm totally behind, xD I barley finished typing this chapter because I want you all to have a chapter a day.
Also, this is my last day of school, so have a fantastic summer, everyone!~
Goodbye seniors!! You will be missed ;D
