Chapter Twelve
Okay, fuck this, fuck that, and most importantly, fuck your face!

{CRITICS RATE THIS CHAPTER TITLE: "This chapter title is probably the best one out of all of your books, it hits me on a spiritual level, 11/10 ." -Lovino Vargas }

"Hey, this place seems pretty empty." Lovino commented, looking around the room.

"Yeah, but to be fair, there are really only six of us living here, counting the both of us." Antonio replied.

"Did you count the strange man that lives in the attic?" Lovino asked.

"I counted.. What?" Antonio asked.

"Yeah, there's ____, You, Feli, Francis, Arthur, Me, and the attic man, he says that he's the one who makes it storm outside." Lovino said casually, as if what he had said made sense.

"Ugh, we should probably have someone check that out..." Antonio said uneasily.

"No, don't kick him out, bastard, he's my favourite old person." Lovino protested.

"But-" Antonio began as he opened the door to the kitchen to set the freshly picked produce down, along with Lovino.

"No, you just can't do it you bastard, you can't judge him if you don't know him!" He shouted.

"I'm not judging!" Antonio's voice grew higher as he tried to explain himself, "We just can't have someone living in the attic for obvious reasons!"

Lovino's frown grew, "Well the reason mustn't be so obvious, because I can't understand it." He past Antonio and went to set the basket of vegetables down on the counter, "And- fuck!" He shouted, dropping the basket on the ground and causing some of the produce inside to fall out onto the floor.

"What happened?" Antonio asked, setting the basket down on the table top.

"I stepped on something." Lovino responded, standing on one leg in an attempt to see if his for was injured, it was just a small cut, but it managed to draw blood.

"It's a broken bowl, and h-hey, didn't I tell you to wear shoes?" Antonio asked, turning his attention towards him.

"Fuck this, they feel right and they're expensive as fuck." Lovino responded, looking over at the bowl, there was a small blood trail leading towards the door.

"Is that blood? Or tomato sauce? I'm really hoping that's tomato sauce.." Lovino trailed off. Antonio looked over to inspect it and as he was about to open the kitchen door to see if there was more blood on the other side, he saw the hole arrow in the door.

"Oh no, Lovino, I think that Samantha might be here." Antonio spoke, turning towards Lovino, who was wrapping his foot with a bandage he pulled out of the bottom drawer, "How do you know, bastard?" He asked, now tying the bandage.

"I know because she literally wrote her name on the arrow, come on, we need to find the others, they may be in trouble, I don't know if they know that she's here." Antonio spoke sternly.

"Ah, yeah, okay, well, I'll be behind you." Lovino spoke casually, he put his foot down on the floor and put pressure on it to see if he could walk on it, he could.

"No, you can't, Lovino, it can be dangerous." Antonio spoke dramatically.

Lovino rolled his eyes, not wanting to deal with this soap opera shit Antonio regularly did, "I'm going, you can't stop me." Lovino spoke, taking a step with his good foot, only to step on another broken bowl piece and falling back again, "Fuck that!" He cursed, reaching for the first aid drawer again.

"No, I can't stop you, but that cracked bowl can!" Antonio smiled, quickly leaving the room, "Stay here, Lovi!" Antonio spoke, following the trail that Samantha had left with her blood and the arrows.

"No you bastard, come back here, agh!" Antonio disappeared through the door while Lovino sat anxiously, "Fuck this, and fuck that bowl, and fuck you, Toni!" He shouted, "But most importantly, fuck your face!"

---

"Can you do it?" Arthur asked again, kneeling beside me while I sat on the bed, trying to concentrate on making some weapons.

"For the tenth time this minute, not yet!" I hissed.

"If you don't let me in this instant, I will mock you all with some Grade A, bloody ass insults! I'm warning you!" Samantha kept laughing. She had been hitting the door repeatedly with her arrows in an attempt to break through the door, but she has had as much luck as we had, none.

"Why don't you let me try?" Arthur complained again.

"I told you Arthur, I can't take the darn thing off, look you can try to help me take it off if you want." I frowned.

He stood up and stared at the necklace, "Alright, then let's try to do this carefully, we can't risk breaking the thing." He spoke. I nodded.

He stood behind me and tried to find the clip, but it was as if it had dissapeared, not only that, but I also couldn't pull it off over my head, once I put it on, like magic, it had shrunk to fit around my neck. It was not going to come off.

"Alright, pull it up with me, ready?" Arthur asked, "Yeah." I responded.

"On three, one, two, three!" He spoke, on three we both started pulling the chain up in hopes that it would slip off, but it didn't.

"Ow, ow!" Arthur shouted, jumping back and blowing on his hands.

I let the necklace fall back around my neck and turned towards him, "What?" I asked.

"It just started burning, I couldn't hold it, it was just so hot!" He exclaimed.

I felt the chain on the back of my neck, but it felt just as warm as the part I was holding.

I was about to speak again when Francis spoke, "Hey, I was looking through the book, trying to find out more about that thing, but all I have uncovered is that it sort of has a mind of it's own, you know."

"What's that mean? I thought the person wearing it was in charge." Arthur spoke as he sat beside me.

"Yeah, for the most part, but it will stay on if it senses potential or something, sorry, there's really not a lot in this book." Francis rubbed his forehead as he flipped through the pages again.

"What if we cut it? I'm sure there's something sharp somewhere around here." Arthur said, standing up and looking around the room.

A moment later, the point of one of the arrows that Samantha had broke through the wooden door. Arthur walked over towards it and managed to pull the sharp part off by breaking the stick part of the arrow on the door, "This will do, hey, thanks, Samantha!" He laughed lightly, walking back over to me.

"Ready?" He asked me, I nodded as he came closer and moved the point to the tip of the chain and tried to cut it for it to come off.

He tried to slice through it, but the first time, his hand was sort of bent backwards, causing him to drop the arrow tip beside me on the bed.

"What the..?" He whispered to himself. He picked it up once again and brought it up to the chain again, "Let's try it again." He shook his head slightly.

As he began to put pressure on the chain, an unfamiliar laugh was heard. There was no one in the room besides Francis, Feliciano, Arthur, and I, but it seemed as if the laughter was coming from right in front of me.

"Who's there?" Feliciano cried, stepping away from the walls and jumping on the bed to hide under the covers.

The laughing continued for a moment before a figure started to appear in front of me, it was grabbing the hand that Arthur was using to hold the arrow tip, and in an instant, he bend Arthur's hand backwards again, this time, Arthur was in more pain.

"If I can't scratch that thing, you definitely can't break it!" The figure spoke.

The figure began to gain some colour, it looked like a man, black hair, a white shirt, black tie, vest, and pants, his shoes were tinted brown. As for his eyes, they were a bright green.

He was holding the chain of the amulet where Arthur was trying to break it, he let it go and it fell back down around my neck.

"How's your hand?" The man laughed, "Probably broken, but I'll fix it if you stop trying to break it!" His voice intensified at the end, causing us all to jump back slightly.

"I-I promise!" Arthur exclaimed, holding his right wrist with his other hand.

The man smiled as he held his hand up and snapped, I looked over at Arthur, he raised his broken wrist up and like magic, it was suddenly fixed..

"T-Thank you." Arthur stuttered as he tried to reach for my hand so that we could get a safe distance away from the stranger.

"Well the book doesn't say anything about you." Francis spoke as he stood up, "And not to ruin this all, but wouldn't Samantha be trying to get in here right now?" He asked.

"In regular time, yes, but let's just say that time has come to a holt as long as you're in here!" He exclaimed.

"What's your name?" I suddenly asked.

He turned over towards me and grinned, "You're telling me that you're wearing that and you have no idea who I am?" He asked, pointing to the amulet.

I nodded slowly.

He frowned ever so slightly before extending his hand out to me, I stared at it then him for a moment before he spoke, "Well don't worry, I won't hurt you, just take my hand and we'll shake like normal people!" He said with a grin.

I took a step foreword and took his hand, which he then began shaking, "My name is... Ah, just call me Necklace! As for you, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss ______!" He quickly let go of my hand, causing it to fall to my side.

He then turned away from all of us and placed his hand on his chin, "Damn, I'm late for something, hey, I'll be back to finish this conversation soon, alright! Don't die until then." He flashed a smile and gave us all a thumbs up before freezing.

He walked up to me and grabbed both of my hands with his, looking me in the eyes, he sternly spoke, "All you need to do is imagine what you want, it's not that hard, so get those unwanted thoughts out of your head. Focus." He let go of my hand quickly and smiled once again before snapping his fingers and suddenly, dissapearing...

"Necklace.." I said breathlessly.

Once everything turned normal, we all dropped to our knees, besides Feliciano who was popping his head out of the covers.

Arthur stood up and held his hand out to me, I took it and he helped me back to my feet, "Thanks." I spoke.

"No problem. He responded.

Samantha's pleasant laughter filled the room once again, however, she had finally made it inside, after stabbing the door for a while, she managed to slip her hand and arm through the splinter-y hole in the door to reach the doorknob.

It was unexplainable, the pain that she was putting herself through for money.
Her arm was bloody and immensely scratched up.

She came closer, bow in hands, she was unstable.

As for me, I have this necklace and if I don't focus, we might all die... Or worse!

He told me to use my imagination and focus, but all I can imagine is Arthur being burned alive or hung for doing this. I tried to thing of a weapon to use, but again, only rope and fire consumed my thoughts.

Just as Samantha took another step, the ground around her caught on fire. Her eyes widened as she tried to step away from it, but it only seemed to follow her.

"What's' happening?" She asked, becoming terrified.

Arthur turned towards me, "You're doing this?" He asked, shocked by the outcome.

I closed my eyes, I didn't want to see what was happening, "Francis, get her out of there!" Arthur commanded.

Francis nodded, carefully making his way towards Samantha, "Come on!" He called.

I opened my eyes and looked up at the two, "No!" I shouted, as I did so, the flames grew intensely large.

The room was engulfed in flames, I was scared, not knowing how to stop it, it seemed that the more I tried to, the more I made it worse.

I felt Arthur's arms cover me, he held me tightly, even though it was my fault everything was bad.

"It's okay, ____." He whispered in my ear.

Everything slowly began to feel okay, and while he continued to hold me, the fire had been dying down.

Once he finally let go, he gave me a smile and liked around the room, "You did it." He spoke, breaking te sudden silence.

Feliciano poked his head out of under the bed, he must have moved during the chaos, Francis was trying to calm down, and Samantha was probably just asleep... Yeah, probably asleep.

"The room is normal again, even though we almost just died." Francis tried to comprehend the situation.

I stood up and dusted myself off, I imagined a rope in my hands, and suddenly it appeared, "I think I've got the hang of this now." I muttered, trying to get over what I just did.

Yeah, let's not do that ever again.

"Are you okay though?" Arthur asked, taking the rope from my hands to tie Samantha's hands and legs together, this way we wouldn't have to deal with her psychotic rampages again.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I spoke tiredly, "It's just been a long day." I added.

He nodded then walked towards the door, "Well then, let's make this day end and go do something to take our minds off of this." He suggested.

He opened the door, Feliciano was the first out, he ran as soon as it was opened, Francis took once more look around, and I felt as if my feel were glued to the floor boards.

"Let's go." I whispered under my breath, heading out.
