Chapter Twenty-One
I'm Not Old, I'm Forty Seven.
"So where to next? You haven't said a word to me yet." I spoke over towards Justin.
"Do you know anything about a unicorn's anatomy, Miss ______?" He hissed, blushing a deep red.
"Of course not, Mister Justin!" I replied.
As he was about to respond, a ticking sound rang in my ears for a moment, "What's that?" I asked.
Justin stopped himself from speaking and frowned, "Time is going back to whatever it normally is." He crossed his arms and we made our way up once again, "So he must have stopped his spell." I spoke.
"Or his power is weakening, I mean, he is only human and what kind of human can control such a powerful spell for ten minutes or more? Now, with a powerful demon like me, I could manage a spell like that for at least ten years." He smiled proudly.
I rolled my eyes, "Let's find him!" I spoke, running down the hall, he should be upstairs on the third floor about now."
"Whatever" Justin sighed.
-
Where was everyone? I thought I would have at least run into one of his servants in this castle. Unless maybe this was all some sort of trap and my old man betrayed me..! As I thought this, my fury built up, I was definitely going to kill him.
I made my way out of the top floor and as I walked along the fourth floor, there, I finally saw them.
"Hello again, Francis, oho, or should I say bonjour?" I greeted.
"You should say bonjour, you sour, unfashionable excuse for a man!" Francis responded harshly.
Antonio punched the back of Francis's shoulder, Francis rubbed his shoulder and frowned, "Ow, that was rude.." He hissed.
"Well say what I told you to say." Antonio urged.
"What? No, I already old you no, it doesn't make any sense, he doesn't even understand Spanish stuff for fruk's sake.." Francis responded, to which Antonio squinted very convincingly, "Fine." Francis rolled his eyes, turning back towards Johnny.
In a very bad Spanish accent, Francis raised his sword, "We are like the Spanish Inquisition, you weren't expecting the Spanish Inquisition, were you?!" He shouted.
Johnny raised a brow, "Excuse me?"
Antonio face-palmed as Francis struggled for another threat, "Oh, ugh, your mother was a hamster and your father, a smelt of elderberries!"
Johnny's eyes widened, "How dare you speak badly of my parents! Only I can do that!" He frowned, pulling his tainted dagger out, "I'll kill you the way I killed your stupid spy, James!"
Saying this, Antonio's eyes widened, "Stupid? He was anything but stupid!" He defended, charging at me.
"Wait, Antonio, ugh-" Francis sighed turning towards the two Italians behind him, "Now!" He shouted.
I smiled as they all ran up to me, a silly dagger wasn't all I had up my sleeves...

I managed to catch up to Samantha and the Attic Man just in time, "Holt, Old man and Samantha!" I shouted at them. They tensed up as they turned towards me.
The old man frowned as Samantha sniffled, she looked far too sick to battle anyone.
"I won't allow you to go any further!" I spoke, raising my sword before me.
"I'm forty seven." Said the old man.
"What?" I asked.
"I'm forty seven, I'm not old."
"Well I can't just call you 'man', you know." I said, raising a brow.
"Well, you could have said 'Dennis.'"
"I didn't know you were called Dennis."
"Well you didn't bother to find out, did you?" He huffed.
"It just never came up, look, just don't go upstairs, will you?" I asked.
Samantha raised her arm in front of her face, as she coughed on it, blood trickled down her sleeve and slashed on the white tiled floor below her, "Try and stop us, you wanker." She coughed again.
The Dennis pulled the chain of a necklace he had hidden beneath his shirt, I only managed to see a small glisten come from it as the light from one of the candles hit it, "You have severely underestimated me." He grinned, raising his arm to my eye level. His hand made a fist and I felt something pulling my sword away from me.
"What are you doing?" I asked, trying to hold my sword back, but the force pulling on it was powerful.
"I may not have found that amulet Francis stole, but that amulet I gave to my son wasn't the only one I had. You see this? The world is covered with powerful entities and I have captured so many!" He admitted.
I frowned, letting go of the sword, it went flying in his direction, his eyes widened seeing that it wouldn't stop, but he managed to jump out of the way right on time.
"You're using demons to do your bidding?" I asked, wide-eyed.
"Not all of them are demons, actually." He coughed, standing up. Sure he wasn't that old, but he was still weak and in no condition to battle hand to hand. As for magical attacks, he might be able to counter my hits if they're magic based. I'll have to test this theory before attempting to get close to him first.
I raised my hand and began a chant that would summon a beast from hell, soon, the hallway began to darken quickly, the air thickened. A light beamed from the floor in front of me and everyone stared, wide-eyed.
Finally, the demon appeared and it was... R-Ivan?
"What do you want this time, England? I'm a little busy right now." He spoke.
I gasped as I tried to send it back, "Nothing! Go back now you foul demon! Go back!"
He laughed lightly and smiled, "Alright! It was nice seeing you! Tell the others that I said 'hello' too!"
And so, he then disappeared and for a brief moment, the room was filled with silence, the rest of the time, Dennis was chanting a spell. I didn't want to wait to find out what he was going to summon or do.
I turned towards Samantha in hopes that perhaps I could convince her to help me once again, without my sword and without my magic as a weapon, I didn't have many open options, "Samantha, look, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to pay you the amount I promised you when this all began, but do you honestly believe that Johnny or his father," I pointed to Dennis as he continued chanting, "are going to be more loyal to their promise? They're just going to use you to get rid of us then they will get rid of you!" She turned away as I continued my attempt to convince her.
"Please, Samantha, remember why you decided to help me with the plan in the first place, it wasn't entirely about the money, but it was to get our revenge on Johnny, the one who is to blame for the deaths of your-" She cut me off there as she shouted, "Shut up!" As she shouted this, she managed to distract Dennis from his chant, and so it had failed.
He frowned as he turned towards Samantha, he raised his arm to hit her, but as he did, in a swift movement, she pulled the arrow head of one of her arrows out from beneath her cape. She quickly dug it into the old man's chest. He stood frozen as he looked down to see his blood pour onto the floor, painting it red.
It didn't take long before he finally collapsed on the ground, it was a quick death to say the least. As for Samantha, she turned towards me and coughed once again, "I'm sorry too... I let greed become a more important objective to me rather than doing what I needed to do. But hey, I got rid of his dad so I;m half way even, right?"
After saying that, she finally collapsed onto the floor, I ran to her side, "Oh god, are you okay?" I asked, anxiously.
She laughed lightly, "Do I look okay?"
I looked around for something to help her with, then realised that I had my book, I reached for it and assured her, "Don't worry, you're going to be alright soon, I just need to find a healing spell and you'll be up and better in a jiffy!" I smiled.
She only shook her head and closed her eyes, "Stop it, I'm going to die now and that's alright. Everyone has a time to go and I don't want you to ruin this for me, I've had my time. As for you, I wish you good luck on two things..." Her eyed opened and they met mine, "One... Good luck explaining to _____ why she's the only one out of all of you that's aging... and two... Good luck watching her as she dies in front of your eyes... After living as long as you have, this must really hurt, huh? England..." Her voice faded out and her eyes slowly closed.
She was dead now...
I moved back and stood up, I didn't want to cry, but tears were pricking my eyes.
After I felt that I had myself composed, I dried my eyes and stood up straight, once I get rid of Johnny, I'll make sure that I find a spell to keep _____ young with me forever, I'm sure there is a spell for eternal youth. If not a spell, then perhaps there's another way... There has to be a way...
I looked down at Samantha's motionless body, then something hit me... How did she know I'm England?
Did one of the others let it slip out? Did they tell her? I made sure that we all knew to address ourselves by our human names, not our real names... So how did she know? And does anyone else know...?
