Epilogue (Part 1) - 7 Years Later
*Note: the twins are both 6 and their youngest is 2. This may eventually start into their own separate story, but not right now. In the meantime, happy reading!*
"I can't believe Seaker's gone. She gave so much to our family. More than my good for nothing father ever did."
"She would want you to continue with your life. We've been through too much for you to start getting sentimental on me just now."
"Father was wrong. I'm a General and I am not less than nothing."
"Some would say you're a loving father and a brilliant lover. Millicent believes you're the best thing that ever happened to her. And she's not wrong."
"She's a little wrong?"
"Why?"
"Because we're the best thing that ever happened to her."
"Don't be cheesy, I'm gonna hurl."
"Not while their sleeping Kylo. I already have to clean up after them too much."
"How have they been? It's not too much longer before we can move to the new place."
"Skylah and Anakin are asleep in their bunks. Seeker is going between being asleep and up again for her upset stomach. She's been sick for a couple days now but it shouldn't last much longer. The twins are troublesome as usual, especially when they're missing their father. Seeker has begun to mentally communicate with her siblings and me whenever she can't physically communicate to us. You'd be proud."
"I am."
"Good."
"Father?" The little voice sounded tired as it spoke through the baby monitor on their bedside table. Kylo huffed, slightly exasperated that he had to get up this late, but loving his daughter through the exhaustion and frustration he felt.
"What's the matter Seeker?" Kylo asked, coming to sit beside the girl in her crib. Carefully, he flipped the switch on the baby monitor, not wanting to bother Hux while he spoke with their young daughter.
"I'm afraid."
"Why are you afraid baby girl?"
"I see things. Things that aren't real. He tells me that you killed him. He tells me to kill you too. I don't want to kill you daddy."
"Who's telling you these things? Why didn't you tell papa?"
"It would alarm him if I said it. He's still getting used to my mental abilities." She paused as a shadow passed over her face. "His name is Snoke. His face haunts my dreams." She starts to tear up and he pulls her close, cradling her tiny form and wishing this nightmare would disappear.
"It's alright baby girl. We'll fix it, I promise. Just tell me if you see anything else in your visions ever."
"The twins are unhappy. They'll change greatly in the future. I'm happy, but I won't always be. Someone will have to save me from my greatest enemy."
"I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere, I will be with you
Everything, I will do for you
I love you always forever
Near and far, closer together
Everywhere, I will be with you
Everything, I will do for you
You've got
The most unbelievable, blue eyes
I've ever seen..."
The lullaby put Seeker straight to sleep and the next morning Kylo took her with him to work. He gave her to Phasma for the day, instructing her that he needed her to see Rey. He also handed her a note with instructions written on it. Both Ren and Rey were needed to expel the demon from his daughters mind.

"Where's Seeker? We miss her?" Anakin, the younger twin asked. Armitage was moving around their little kitchen, cooking a brunch of eggs and sandwiches for him and the kids. Skylah was seated on the floor beside her brother, slowly coloring in a coloring book with dulled orange and blue crayons.
"Daddy took her out for the day. But we can still have some fun all our own." Armitage answered, setting the table with plates and silverware. The twins followed suit, pouring each other drinks as well as one for their father.
"We actually have something we want to discuss with you Papa." Skylah began, talking evenly, despite shaking a little like a leaf in the springtime rain.
"Yes. Something rather important." Anakin echoed, coming to sit beside his sister and envelope her in a tight hug. The twins sat with their hands folded, side by side, across the table from Hux. He watched them, perplexed, but ready to listen.
"What is it you two?" He asked, taking a sip from the glass of water the kids had poured for him.
"We... um... I... I c-can't do this!" Skylah simpered, hiding her head in her brothers side.
"It's okay Skylah, I'll tell him." Anakin moved his hand across her back comfortingly. Armitage was starting to grow worried. Had his kids done something bad? Had they been hurt somehow?
"What's the matter?" Hux asked, a harshness creeping into the back of his voice.
"Skylah doesn't feel normal. She has dreams of being a boy." Anakin started.
"And Anakin has dreams of being a girl."
"Neither of us wants to lose sense of each other."
"Do you hate us now Papa?" Skylah's voice was so innocent and sweet that Hux had to physically get up from the table and move over to them.
"I could never hate you. Either of you. You are both too precious for me to lose in any way. After all,
What makes the battle worth the fighting?
What makes the mountain worth the climb?
What makes the questions worth the asking?
The reason worth the rhyme?
To me the answers clear
It's having someone near, someone dear
Someone to care for, to be there for
I have you two!
Someone to do for, muddle through for
I have you two!
Someone to share joy or despair with
Whichever betides you
Life becomes a chore, unless you're living for
Someone to tend to, be a friend to
I have you two!
Someone to strive for, do or die for
I have you two!
Could be, we three get along so famously
'Cause you two have me, and I have you two, too."

"It's so bizarre Kylo. I'd think they were mocking me if they weren't so sincere."
"We had kids so you could give them a chance. If they're seriously being honest, we have to be there for them through the entire process. It's what we owe to them as their parents."
"I know. It just feels weird still. Like it's Cari coming back to haunt me or something."
"I promise you, neither of our kids will turn out anything like Cari. She was filled with so much hatred and both of them have felt wanted since day one." Kylo pushed his lips along his lovers jawline and sucked at his collarbone lightly.
"How did everything go with Seeker and Rey today?"
"We expelled Snoke from her mind. Rey thinks that she's destined for greatness."
"She's our little girl, so of course she is."
