Day 13
*There will be 2 extra days that I will post within the next two days. Until then, happy reading!*
Waking up the next morning and being passed a pregnancy test from my Alpha counterpart was certainly weird to say the least. The alpha male was all too excited to see what the result would be, although he could probably already sense whether it would come up positive or not. I just sluggishly moved through my normal daily routine. He pounced on me when I tried to leave for the bridge without looking at the test.
Holding the positive test in my hands was something I never thought I'd be able to do since my awful past. I never thought I'd be happy about it either, because I'd never wanted to be the one in the relationship to get pregnant, even though I knew it was a futile wish. My happiness was contained only with in the confines of my mind, so Kylo just hugged me on the way out of the room.
Phasma came up to me with arms crossed when I stalked onto the bridge followed by a broadly smiling Kylo Ren. That idiot. I ignored him as Mitaka scurried off the bridge, looking annoyed and upset. Before I could think about trying to pursue him, Phasma had pulled me in for a harsh embrace.
"Never do that to me again general." She whispered under her breath quietly.
"Sorry Phas."
"Do you know what it's like when he's in charge? It's not pretty. He has no clue what to do and is frankly, too terrified of me to even work through anything with me. It's pathetic." She growled over to me and I could only chuckle lightly. A look passed over her face, one of disgust that turned into joy.
"Boy, did you get knocked up? Straight up?" Briefly, I wondered who'd she'd been with recently, to be talking like that. I just nodded in contained excitement. She picked me up and swirled the both of us around. I hissed and tried to look for Kylo but he had disappeared. Phasma noticed me looking around and nudged me in the side. "He still has a job to do Hux."
"I know, but shouldn't he be here?"
"Snoke called for an audience with him to talk about his most recent mission or whatever. He'll be back soon, I promise." The mention of his mission suddenly made me angry. Furious in fact. And the more I stood there with Phasma asking for gruesome details, the more my blood boiled. It had all been a fucking game to him. To complete his sadistic masters damn mission.

Over an hour later, Kylo freaking Ren came out onto the bridge holding a little black box and wearing an all too bright smile. I turned away and continued tracking the other officers, making sure that everything was running smoothly. Kylo's smile fell slightly at the corners as he came up behind me and I still wasn't willing to look him in the eyes.
One of the woman on the bridge moved over to me, intent on getting my signature for some of the mountain of paperwork that had stacked up while I was gone. Her name was Seaker and she would often function like an assistant without being called that or getting the pay for that position. She was a sweet woman who wholeheartedly believed in the cause.
"These documents need to be authorized by you general. And once you're done with them, I'd like to talk to you about a private matter." My brow quirked up in confusion but I did as she asked and ditched Kylo with an agitated Phasma.
When we were in the hall, away from all the commotion of the deck, Seaker began to speak to me. The words she said could make me feel like a child, but the way she was speaking, I knew she didn't think that way of me.
"Once upon a time I was a special operative Hux. I infiltrated a house with a supposed traitor inside. He was one but I was only tasked to figure it out, not to kill him. There was potential in that household. Not just that, but something the old man had been hiding. Something that I knew, would be valuable eventually. Before you move on with your life, I thought you should see these." She pulled out three manilla envelopes with an unfamiliar scrawl across the middle. Carefully, I opened the envelope and pulled out several sheets of yellowing paper. Before reading the actual contents, I skipped to the end and read the name of who wrote it.
It was a letter from my mother addressed to me.
My eyes teared up and I hugged her, uncaring of who saw us. She smiled lightly before a choked gasp came from her throat. I turned to see Kylo with his hand outstretched towards her. I grabbed it and yelled at him.
"Stop it Kylo." She was released and instantly took in a breath before she patted me on the back and wandered back to the bridge, softly massaging her throat.
"Why were you hugging her?" Kylo asked, his eyes filled with rage.
"This may be hard to believe, but I do have a social life outside of you Kylo." He pushed me up against a nearby wall and moved his knee up between my legs. I groaned lightly, before he bit down on my ear lobe.
"Don't hug other people." He demanded, twisting my arm harshly behind my back as he pulled me away from the wall. I yelled out in pain and kicked him in the shin.
"You can read my fucking mind Kylo! So why do I have to point blank tell you that she was giving me a letter from my mother! I don't remember her at all Kylo. How on earth am I gonna learn anything on how to be a good parent for our own fucking children, when I don't even remember my own fucking mother!" I shouted, crumpling to the floor in sobs. Kylo placed something soft in my lap but my eyes were too full of storms to see what the shape was. Then the thing made a noise. Was that a meow?
I let my eyes clear slightly before I looked down to see the orange tabby cat looking up at me with it's brilliantly green eyes. Had Kylo really gotten me a kitten?
"The doctor finally found one that fit my description this morning. She's all yours." He paused, letting me play with the little thing. "What are you going to name her?"
"Her name is Milicent."
