Pulling apart he sighed as she looked at him touching his face.
"Did you get enough sleep?" He asked seeing the bags underneath her eyes as he stroked her cheek.
"I haven't been sleeping very well since that day," she whispered.
Making a move to stand he took her hand and led her to the sofa letting her sit down as he sat beside her.
"I need you to get some sleep whilst I finish up here then we can leave together," he informed her.
Letting her lay her head on his lap his one hand holding onto hers she closed her eyes letting sleep take over easily.
With his free hand he proceeded to go through the contract proposals.
Lucia walked into the office coming to a halt seeing them like this as he raised a finger to his lips.
"Here are the files you asked for," she whispered with a smile.
"Thank you. Cancel any remaining appointments for the day. You can take those files and go home," he said softly as he signed the folder she held out to him. "Please bring me a throw over from my closet," he said.
"Thank you sir. Enjoy your evening," she smiled watching him secure the small blanket over Esther.
Walking out of the office she wore a wide grin as she finally knew her boss had found someone to love. Having worked for the man for over a year now she had noticed that he rarely went out. Aside from going out on dates here and there she never saw the woman twice and he never showed such care or affection.
Leaning back he loosened his tie before shutting his eyes as he rested.

He woke up an hour later to find her head on his shoulder the blanket covering them both. Her arm lay on his chest clinging onto his shirt. He heard a low whimper as she moved closer to him making him look at her with concern.
Stroking her cheek she opened her eyes and looking at him found a smile on his lips.
"I'm sorry for waking you up," he apologized. "It's getting late," he said looking towards the clock.
"Oh my gosh," she said moving away from him as she started to fold the throw over. "Why didn't you wake me up?" She said trying to straighten her clothes as he rose to his feet walking towards her.
"And miss the sight of you waking up in my arms," he said taking the throw over from her throwing it onto the sofa. "Can I at least get a proper greeting," he murmured pulling her into his arms as he leaned down attacking her lips before she could refuse.
Pulling away he admired his handiwork as he stepped back giving her room to breath.
"Next time wake me up on time," she said looking at him.
He smiled loving how she saw this happening again. Grabbing his jacket he shrugged it on before shutting down his laptop and desktop computer.
"As you wish love," he said leading the way out of the office.
Whilst they waited for the elevator he felt her hand reach for his making him hold her hand securely in his.
"Thank you for letting me rest in your office," she said as he looked at her giving her a smile.
"Anytime love," he said watching her stifle a yawn. "Did you drive?"
"Yes," she said as they reached the ground floor.
"My driver will follow with your car if you don't mind," he said seeing how tired she was. "I don't want you driving in your condition. For my peace of mind please allow me to drive you home," he said as she looked at him seeing that he was serious.
"Okay," she said reluctantly at having a stranger drive her car.

Pulling up in front of her building he turned to look at her.
"So when next am I seeing you?"
"I don't know," she chuckled as he smiled.
"This week I'm swamped with work. How about this weekend?"
She nodded her head yes making his smile widen.
Getting out of the car he walked towards his driver to get her keys.
"Thank you for taking me home," she said stifling a yawn.
"The pleasure is all mine," he said with a smile. Leaning towards her he kissed her cheek making her smile shyly before he turned to leave.

The following morning Esther left for work earlier than usual. She needed to check her restaurant accounting documents in order to make sure things were running smoothly. Opening her office door she least expected to see her ex husband sitting in her chair a glass of wine in his hand.
