"Why is the hospital asking you to call them?" He asked checking his phone finding the same message on his phone.
"Hmmm, I don't know," she said wearing a frown looking back to find the boys still asleep.
"Let's go there now and then we can head back home," he said putting the car into gear.
Arriving at the hospital they bumped into one of the nurses who laughed seeing how worried they appeared to be when they were informed Esther had left her glasses hence the request for one of them to pass by to collect them.
Sighing in relief they collected the item heading home as she teased her husband about how he had been gripping the steering wheel in worry whilst they headed to the hospital.
"You worry too much baby," she said placing her hand on his thigh as he looked down at her hand shaking his head.
"Don't try anything funny. I don't want us getting into an accident," he said as he felt her fingers caressing him.
"You will keep us safe," she said turning her body slightly to face him a smile gracing her face.
"That's my top priority," he smiled shifting slightly as her hand moved up slightly making him look at her as she bit her lip wearing a mischievous smile. "Baby," He said in warning.
"Yes," She said innocently.
"Wait until I get you home," he said wearing a promising smile as he grabbed her hand bringing her hand to his lips before she felt his tongue flick across her palm making her smile.

Reaching their home they found a car parked by the gate as she realized it was one of her restaurant employees.
"Good afternoon Fredrick," she smiled as the man looked at her with scrutinizing eyes before a look of relief came over him.
She seemed not to realized this but her husband did as he looked at the man catching eyes with him as the man looked down showing he meant no harm.
"Good afternoon ma'am. I drew the longer straw hence why I am here," he said wearing a smile as she looked at him in question.
"Everyone wanted to come to check on you but we decided to keep the place open and send one individual to check on you. In short your presence is missed," he said wearing a shy smile as he looked at her sincerely.
Jacob cleared his throat before saying they should go inside as he opened the remote controlled gate.
"I've got them," he said stopping her from taking out the other car seat.
Fredrick rushed over to assist gushing over the twins and how they looked like their father making Jacob smile with pride scoring points with the man.
"So what do you do at the restaurant?" Jacob asked when Esther excused herself.
"I'm an assistant chef," he smiled.
"So you always had a passion for food," he said.
"Not really. When I was locked up I realized the food was not really that good therefore when they asked us what we wanted to learn as skill of trade I chose cooking. The lessons paid off because the food was better. When I got out as you know not everyone is keen on hiring. But your wife gave me a chance. Well more like gave most of us a chance. We never want to disappoint her or break the trust she has in us," he said as Jacob realized he didn't know his wife completely.
Esther walked in smiling at both man as she sat down beside her husband.
"Hope all is well at the restaurant," she said as he nodded his head yes informing her that everything was running smoothly as she frowned seeing that he had become a bit nervous.
"Anything the matter Fred?" She asked seeing him bouncing his knee before leaning forward.
"It's about your husbands' brother," he said his expression becoming serious.
"What about him?" Jacob asked his features becoming tense.
"He was let out on bail. His parents footed the bill," he said as Jacob looked at him confused.
"How?" Jacob growled as Esther reached for his hand subtly calming his down. "How do you know this?" He asked.
"I still have contacts inside. I just found out this morning," he said. "My friend says he bears a grudge against you ma'am. He kept telling everyone that you bewitched his brother therefore he is coming for you," Fred said looking troubled seeing worry etched on his bosses face.
"Thank you for this news Fred," she said in a calm voice. "I shall discuss with my husband the best way forward. How is your family?" She said wearing a sincere smile.
"They are very good ma'am," he said giving her a forced smile knowing what was at stake. "I should take my leave," he said when he looked at Jacob knowing the man wanted more information on his brother.
Giving him a slight nod he bid them farewell before Jacob escorted him out.

Getting more information out of Fred before the man left Jacob called the police asking them what they where doing about the situation at hand.
Closing himself in his office did not help as Esther could hear the conversation loud and clear as he yelled at their incompetence before calling his lawyer and threatening to leave their law firm.
"Sir please calm down," he heard the man.
"Don't you dare tell me to calm down when my family is in danger. I told you. Make sure he is locked up behind those bars for his own safety," he growled.
"Yes, yes, I know sir. I'm already at the prison to talk to the warden. So we know who gave the clearance for bail. The other partners will go to the high court to figure out which judge authorized the bail," he said.
"Fix this," he said ending the call sucking his teeth in frustration.
The room fell into silence before he stepped out of the office going to check on the twins who would have been asleep by now hearing his wife humming a tune he was unfamiliar with.
He came to a halt at the door finding his wife looking down at them her head tilted to the side in thought. A few minutes passed before she stopped before stepping back to leave the room.
Walking past him she appeared tired as he remained by the door looking at the children before closing the door heading to their room.
She had already changed into warm pajamas and was climbing into bed when he walked into the room.
Changing out of his clothes he joined her finding her waiting for him.
"I know he holds a grudge against me since I rejected him and refused him money. I still don't understand his bitterness," she said tears running down her face. "I mean am I not worthy of just a little happiness in my marriage. My first marriage had its own troubles and now this one threatens my life," she said as her hands began to trembled with anger.
Seeing this he grabbed her hands bringing them to him chest as he sat before looking into her eyes.
"Come here," he said as she moved to straddle him as he leaned towards her resting his forehead against hers.
"Do you love me?" He asked making her look at him in confusion before nodding her head yes.
"Have I ever failed you in my duties as your husband?" He asked.
She simply shook her head no.
"I vowed to protect you always even if it's from my own family," he said making her shed more tears.
"I love you my dearest wife. If anything where to happen to you I would surely not survive being a single parent to those boys," he said making her chuckle.
"And you think I would?" She asked wiping her tears.
"You are superwoman. You can handle anything love," he said with sincerity.
"Besides no woman on this here earth will ever be compatible with me like you are. You are my better half after all," he said with a smile laying her on her back before kissing her at a leisurely pace pulling her into his arms so they could rest.
"I love you Jake," she whispered.
"I love you more my love," he smiled watching her fall asleep.
———
"Sleep tonight brother for I have big plans for you and your little wife," Josh whispered.
