"I swear these children look more like you each passing day," she said as she held a laughing Nathan in her arms.
"They got the good genes," he said with pride making her roll her eyes. "Besides they will definitely be handsome men like their daddy," he said making her chuckle.

He looked at her before saying, "what's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh nothing," she said as she placed Nathan down just as Martha arrived. "Good morning Martha," she said with a smile just as Jake did the same.
"I'm running late," she said looking at the time.
"So am I," Jake said putting on his coat leading the way out.

Taking separate cars she arrived at her office just in time for the staff meeting she had called for. Updating everyone on the outstanding work and profits she announced the pay raise as everyone smiled broadly.
"Now I hope that is enough motive for you guys to work," she said only to be met by eager statements.
Ending the meeting she went to her office to get some work done.

Sarah barged into her office as she looked at her in question.
"I know your man isn't in here I asked one of the your staff members," she said making Esther laugh.
"I'm fine thank you. How are you Sarah?" 
"Oh you know me. Just surviving. At least I have some alone time at home with the kids visiting their grandparents now," she said as Sarah stood up.

"Come on then let's go have some breakfast," she said as Sarah beamed with joy.
"How did you know I hadn't eaten," she said.
"Because I know you," Esther responded.
As they ate their breakfast she stopped talking when her phone rang.

"Did you get to work safely?" He said.
"Yes sir," she said with a smile.
"Have you eaten?" He asked her knowing she hadn't had her breakfast at home.
"Yes sir," she said trying to hold in her laughter. 
"Are you going to stop calling me sir, ma'am?" He said.
"Hmmmm maybe," she said as Sarah looked at her in question.
"Ok that's how it's going to be. I just wanted to hear if you got there safely ma'am," he said with a voice full of sarcasm.
"Thank you very much sir," she said whispering the last word.
"What am I going to do with you?" She heard him sigh.
"What where you thinking?" She asked.
"How exactly I can have you screaming out sir as I do that thing you like," he said as she took a deep breath.
"That can be arranged," she said breathlessly already picturing the scene.
"I could come over right now. Just make up an excuse for Sarah to leave," he said.
"How did you know..." she said as he cut her off.

"That she was there. She called earlier asking if you will be at work," he said. "Now back to us," he said.
"Give me twenty minutes to finish with this meeting love. It will take me ten minutes to get to you since there isn't any traffic now. Less than two minutes to have you locked up in your office without anything on," he said his voice lowering and becoming husky.
"And then?" She asked him.
"I'll start of with you pinned up against the door screwing you mercilessly until you limbs go weak and you can't even stand on your own without my help," he said.
"Are you sure you can do that?" She asked him as he chuckled ending the call.

"What was that all about?" Sarah enquired.
"Oh nothing just him checking to see if I got here safely," she smiled.
"That's sweet of him,"'she said.
"I should get going I have some errands to run," Esther said as they finished their meal.
"You are not the only one. I have to get some groceries from the stores.

Quickly informing the manager that she was leaving she took some documents home. Getting some lunch packed away she drove to her husbands office. Informing the secretary to not tell him she was in she made herself comfortable as she sat in his chair admiring the view outside waiting for his meeting to end.

"And clear my schedule for the rest of the day," she heard him say as he walked into the office coming to a halt when he saw her. "Make sure I am not disturbed. Get those files I'm done with them," he said pointing at a stack of files in front of her.
As soon as his assistant got the papers he closed the door locking it as she closed the blinds allowing him to turn on the lights. 
Walking towards him she undid her shirt removing it as he did the same.

"You made a lot of promises sir," she said with a sly smile
"Yes ma'am," he said as he removed the last of his clothing looking at her standing bare for him only in stockings and heels.
Walking towards him he lifted her off her feet pinning her against the door.
"Let's see if you can fulfill them," she whispered into his ear before biting it as he took her in one thrust making her shut up finding her ready for him.

"We need to leave?" She whispered as he pulled her closer.
"Can't we just stay like this forever," he said.
"No we can't," she said with a chuckle as she got up.
"We should do this more often," he whispered against her ear making her blush as she felt him growing hard as she zipped up his pants as he unbuttoned the shirt she had already up on feeling the scorching trail he left as he slowly removed her shirt biting her lip as his hand found her already wet for him as he teased her. She felt her underwear rip as he looked into her eyes seeing her desire for him.
"Maybe one more round," she said getting on all fours as he stood behind her. "Better make it count," she murmured seeing his eyes burn with fire up for the challenge.

"Josh?" She looked surprised seeing her brother in law at her restaurant.
"Esther," he said with a smile as he moved towards her pulling her into a hug that was a little too friendly for her liking as his hands lingered on her waistline until she pulled his hands off her stepping away from him.

"How are the twins?"
"They are both well along with their father," she stated.
"Hmmm good to hear. Listen I wanted to ask if you could loan me some money," he said avoiding her gaze.
"How much and what is it for?"
"Ten thousand should be fine. For my business. We ran into a bit of a financial problem. But I'll pay you back soon," he said.
"Very well you have to sign some papers at the bank first. I can't just give you money like that. Also send me your business portfolio.

His smile fell as she told him she needed documents from him.
"Can't you just give me the money," he said getting impatient.

"I don't have money here," she said just as he pulled out a gun. "Josh what are you doing?"
"Give me the money," he said as she asked him to stay calm.
"Josh please put the gun down," she said just as Jake walked into her office.

"What do you think you are doing?" Jake asked as Josh removed the safety pin. "What exactly do you want brother?" He asked.
"I don't know why you guys don't want to give me money," he said looking panicked as Jake took a step towards him.
"How much do you want? How much will it take for you to leave my family and I?" Jake said looking angry.
"One million," he said making Jake scoff.
"Please put the weapon down Josh," Esther pleaded as Jake moved towards her.
"You don't tell me what to do!" Josh yelled as the gun went of to everyone's horror.

Time stood still as Josh's expression turned from crazed to fear.
Jake felt all the air leave his lungs as anger turned to fear whilst Esther was overwhelmed by the sense of pain as she looked as her chest seeing the blood pool on the shirt.

Adrenalin kicked in as the sense of flight took over. Josh ran for the door disappearing before anyone could react. The restaurant staff looked confused and afraid before one of them snapped out of the daze rushing for a towel whilst Jake looked at the blood pooling around her.

Sirens could be heard as he looked at his wife trying to stay awake gasping for air.
"Baby," he whispered trying to reach for her just as a team of paramedics walked into the office followed by two police officers.

"Sir we need to ask you are few questions," an officer stated as Jake looked at his wife ignoring them seeing her look of worry as she lay still.
"Esther, " he whispered looking ah his shirt as he opened his jacket seeing his shirt stained with blood as the two man looked at each other before he closed his eyes crumbling to the ground.

Jake was the first to wake up hearing the doctors speaking.
"The bullet went right through him and struck his wife as well. Now he took most of the force of the weapon but luckily his muscles were able to withstand the pressure but his wife is in critical condition. We are trying to remove the bullet sitting close to her heart. It's been a touch and go situation but we are optimistic," he heard.

"Esther," he whispered as Vince walked into the room looking worried.
"I swear you had me scared," he said moving to stand beside his bed as the doctor left the room. "Esther is still in surgery," he added seeing the frown that appeared on his face.
"Did they catch my brother?" He asked after a brief second.
"Not yet. The police are looking for him. Not to worry," he said as Jake closed his eyes in thought just as the door opened.
