Heading to one of the construction sites Jake told the driver to take her home once they reached their destination.
"Take care sweetheart," she said as he secured a hard hat on his head.
"For you, I will," he said making her laugh.
"So cheesy," she said.

Knowing very well that Benjamin would not leave his office she told the driver to take her there.
Reaching his office everyone greeted her surprised to see her.
"May I please see him?" She told his secretary who smiled leading the way to his office.
"Sir you have a visitor," she said as he looked at the door finding both ladies standing at the entrance.
"To what do I owe this surprise visit," he said with a smile standing up to greet her just as the secretary left.
"I just came to find out why you are sabotaging my husbands business," she said taking a seat.
"I have no idea what you are talking about," he said looking perplexed.

"Stop trying to mess with my family. I took nothing from you when we divorced. What exactly do you want from me now?," she said looking at his smirking face.
"I had forgotten how sexy you look when you are angry," he said moving towards where she sat. Leaning towards her he whispered, "and how you easily turn me on," he said looking into her eyes but getting no reaction from her.
"Excuse me?" She said before chuckling as she pushed him away standing up.

"What is it that you intend to achieve by being petty?" She questioned him.
"How could you leave me for him. Was it because he had more money?"
She looked at him perplexed.
"For ten years I was tainted by your mother. Ten years and all it took was for your whore to become pregnant and you kicking me out of your house. And you have the effrontery to say I walked out on you for another man. You forget that it was you who committed adultery and filed for a divorce so your mistress and son could carry your name legally," she said seeing his eyes bulge in anger.

"It didn't take you long to run to another man and give him children you denied me," he said grabbing ahold of her.
"Let go of me Benjamin," she said trying to get out of his hold as he gripped her wrists.
"Why did you do this to us?" He asked angrily. "If it was money I would have given you," He said as she tried to get loose.
"It was never about the money. Jake loved me even when I told him I couldn't give him children. He showed me the true meaning of love unlike the lies you fed me," she spat trying to get free as he pulled her back by her waist.

"You are hurting me," she cried out just as the door swung open.
Letting her go he looked at her.
"Stay the hell away from my family Benjamin. You won't like the other side of me if you test my patience," she said straightening herself up before leaving his office as though nothing had happened.

"Baby!" He called out as soon as he entered the house.
"If your children wake up you are putting them to bed," she said walking towards him taking his briefcase from him and heading to their room.
"Can't a guy get a proper greeting from his wife," he said closing the door.

She smiled shyly walking towards him as he leaned down to greet her lifting her up in the process.
Holding her close she winced in pain as he froze looking at her in question.
"What's wrong?" He said moving to the bed to set her down.
"Nothing," She said all too quickly but he was already lifting up her shirt.
"What happened? Who did this to you?" He asked seeing the dark marks on her wrists and abdomen.
"I..," She stuttered before he cut her off.
"Who the f**k touched you?" He said as he began to pace in front of her.
"It was Benjamin."

He stopped moving and looked at her in question.
"Was he in our house? How did he get in? Someone is definitely getting fired today," he said moving towards the door.
"I went there. I wanted to tell..."
"Why where you going to his office. Wait are you still in love with him?" He asked pointing at her as he looked murderous.
"No Jake! I wanted to tell him to stay away from my family. He has this delusion that I left him for you when he is the one who messed up," she said moving towards him.

"I would never cheat on you Jake," she said placing her hands on his chest as he tried to calm down. "He tried to make a move on me but I refused him hence the bruises," she said turning his head towards her as his large hands moved to hold her wrists.
"He is going to pay for this," he whispered as he closed his eyes bringing her hand to his lips. "He is going to wish he had left my family alone," he said as he carried her to the bathroom.

"I don't want you to get hurt sweetheart," she said worriedly as he sat her down on the bathroom counter.
Opening the hot water tap he placed a small towel under the running water.
"My lawyers have already started sorting papers to serve him first thing in the morning," he is going to wish he hadn't messed with me or touched you. No one touches you except for me," he said wringing the hot towel and gently placing it on her wrist.
"So possessive," she said undoing his buttons with a free hand.

"Has Martha gone?" He asked.
"Not yet," she responded.
"That means we can both take a bath so I can better attend to these bruises," he said stepping  away from her as he filled the tub with warm water.
"She can't drive alone in the evening Jake."
"The driver will take her home and go get her tomorrow morning. I  don't want my boys interrupting me as I take care of you," he said pulling down her tights. "Besides I missed you," he murmured against her lips as she helped him out of his clothing.

"Jake wake up you are late," she said trying to get out of his hold.
"I'm working from home today. I need some quality time with my family. Martha won't be coming in today," he said as she smiled at him.
"Good then that means you can change the twins' diapers whilst I freshen up before feeding them," she said standing up to leave the room.
"Do I look like the guy who changes  diapers?" He said pulling her back onto the bed pinning her down.

"Diaper changing has nothing to do with looks Mr," she chuckled as he looked at her in a pleading manner.
"Please baby, anything but that," he said making her laugh.
"Are they not your children baby. Come on move I want to quickly shower. My boobs are killing me," she said as his gaze lowered.
"Jake," she said pinching him as he winced setting her free.

"What the hell is she feeding you guys," she heard him say after she went to check on how he was fairing before showering. Once done she went to prepare breakfast for them since he hadn't sent a distress call.
Walking into the living room she found him siting with the twins in each of his arms.
"Did you bath them?"
She asked seeing them dressed in matching onesies.
"Yes ma'am," he said as soft music played on the stereo.
"Breakfast is ready sir," she teased him as she took Nathan from him before he started fussing.
Throwing a light blanket over her shoulder she fed Nathan till he had his fill. And did the same for Daniel. She could hear her husband on the phone as he gave his assistant instructions.

After lunch they settled down to watch a movie. She fell asleep through the movie and knowing how exhausted she would be he let her rest. A knock on the door disrupted him as he went to see who it was.
Returning with his brother right behind him he found Esther sitting up stretching as she rose to her feet.
"Hi Esther," Josh said not looking directly at her.
"Hello Josh," She said before excusing herself.

As she left the room Jake smiled loving how she looked in his shirt. Turning to his brother he found him looking in the same direction wearing a frown on his face.
"You better not be here to cause trouble," he said as he sat down.
"No brother. I came to see my nephews he said showing him the gift bag he had with him.
"That's kind of you," he said as his wife brought in a tray of drinks.
"Thank you love," Jake said planting a kiss on her lips before she went to check on the twins.

A few minutes passed by before she felt eyes on her.
"Do you need anything Josh?" She asked as she sliced some carrots starting on their dinner.
"I can see you still have him wrapped around your finger," he spat as he leaned against a counter.
"I don't know what you are talking about," she chuckled as she added the vegetables to the pan of meat before adding some spices.
"Hmmmm smells good in here love," Jake said walking towards her kissing her cheek as he stood behind her.
She simply smiled as Jake looked at his brother.

"So what have you been up to?" He asked.
"Nothing much. I was with mama and papa. They told me the good news," he said.
"Oh. And business?"
"It's been a bit slow right now. I wanted to know if you would be interested in investing," he said.
"Bring your portfolio and I will go through it. Maybe I can get someone to assist you," Jake said reaching into the pan to get a piece of meat.
He felt a light tap on his hand making him pull back his hand as he looked at his wife.
"Can you go to the living room. You will surely finish all the meat," she chuckled.
"But," He said in a pleading tone. "Just one piece," he begged.
"One piece," she said as he stood closer behind her watching as she stirred the pan in search of the piece to give him.
"That one over there baby," he said making her laugh as she took a fork and got the meat handing it over to him.
"Thank you," He said taking a bite and closing his eyes.

"Now I remember why I married you," he said. "It wasn't for your cooking," he teased as she looked at him in shock throwing a towel towards him.
He left the room in laughter before calling his brother to follow him. Finishing up preparing their dinner she went to bathe the twins and fed them. She found Jake sitting alone informing her that Josh had left a while back.
"More food for me," Jake said like an excited kid as he took the bowl of mashed potatoes serving some into his plate.
"You mean me right. I have two other beings depending on me," she said laughing at his thoughtful expression.
"Ok fine you win this time. Just know it won't last forever, they will soon be eating solid food and I will be the only one you have to feed," he said lowering his voice.

"You have a foul moth," she said as he chuckled dishing some vegetables into her plate.
"And you don't? You should have heard yourself last night, or better yet this morning," he said laughing out loud at her shocked expression.
"Well that wasn't my fault," she blushed recalling the morning events.
"It wasn't mine either," he said reaching for her hands so he could bless their meal.

Having their dinner making small talk they shared their meal forgetting about external problems.
"Are you going to the office this weekend?" She asked knowing that he needed to check if things were back on track.
Benjamin had decided to stop his games once he saw the lawsuit and quickly fixed all the orders that had been cut down.

"Nope. I am all yours this weekend. Angie is coming over to babysit in the evening so I can take you out on a date," he said surprising her.

A few months later

"Boys!" She said out loud as the two culprits stopped their actions turning to face her.
Jake walked in laughing seeing the state of the room.
The pair had decided to rearrange the cupboards pulling out clothes and throwing them into the floor.
"Your sons," she said fuming as she left him to deal with the mess. "I honestly don't know how they managed to open the door," he heard her say as she walked away.
