"Two people are down with a cold meaning there is overtime allowance available for those willing to cover the evening shift," Esther stated already seeing eager faces.
"Those willing to cover see me in my office after the meeting. In the mean time everything is running smoothly and we have been selected to host several events this month. This is all thanks to your hard work and smooth service. I don't know where I would be without you guys," she said with a smile.

Jake stopped in his tracks by the entrance admiring how she handled her team before he smiled at her once she caught sight of him. "Ideas for our end of year party are still being accepted," she said with a shy smile spotting Jake. "Ok let's open up," she said with a clap dismissing everyone.

"I have an idea for a party involving you and I," he murmured once he reached her pulling her into his arms.
"Oh really?" She smiled checking behind him to find some of the workers stealing glances in their direction. "Let's go to the office and you can tell me all about them," she said trying to puke away from him.

"That can be done. But first I want my kiss," he said.
"Very demanding are we today?" She said with a raised eyebrow.
"Very," he said capturing her lips with his as she wound her arms around his neck for support. Pulling apart he smiled seeing her eyes still closed as she tried to catch her breath.
Taking her hand he pulled her towards her office but as soon as they walked in he closed her door pinning her against it as he ravished her lips.

Her telephone ringing tore them apart as he groaned in annoyance. Rushing to answer the phone she least expected for him to follow her as he stood behind her and trailed kisses on her neck before biting and sucking on her neck making her gasp as she spoke on the phone. He smirked as she tried to cover up her reaction with whomever was on the other end of the line before she made the error of moaning out his name when he slipped his hand underneath her shirt.
"Sorry I have to take another call from Jake," she blurted before hanging up making him laugh as he looked at her flushed state.

"You are going to pay for that little stunt you pulled," she said tucking her shirt and straightening herself up.
"I'm all yours angel," he said in surrender.
"I need to check on the kitchen and see if everyone showed up.
"Sure thing boss lady," he said removing his jacket. "Just tell me what I have to do."
"You can sit in here. Who knows what more trouble you will cause if I even leave this office with you," she said.
"I promise to be on my best behavior," he said rolling up his sleeves.

Shrugging she took a folder before walking towards the door but stopped when he quickly reached to unlock the door and opened it for her.
"Thank you," she whispered.
"My pleasure," he smiled before he followed her to the kitchen.
The aroma of different dishes invaded his nostrils reminding him he hadn't eaten. As she spoke to the head chef and they looked at the steak in the cold room he stayed back and managed to get a plate of food.
Returning from the cold room she found him eating.
"I'll pay," he blurted out after swallowing.
She simply chuckled shacking her head.
"You definitely are going to pay," she smirked taking a fry from his plate as he looked at her at a loss of words as she left the kitchen.
It took him a minute before his legs began to move towards the direction she had gone.

Four months later

"Vince if I don't marry this girl soon I am going to lose my mind. I am tired of seeing her here and there. I want to wake up with her beside me and I really want to make her mine completely," Jake said.
"So what's stopping you from asking her to be your wife?"
"You know what. Nothing actually," he smiled.
Vince laughed at his friend happy to see him his happy.

"Esther," he said making her look at him as he went down on both knees in front of her. "I know we haven't been seeing each other for that long. But I know that if I don't do this and make you mine I might lose the one good thing I have found on this here earth to someone. And I am not prepared to do such. What I'm asking of you love is to be my wife. My life partner, my friend and more," he said revealing the engagement ring.

Holding her trembling hand in his he slipped the ring on her finger before looking at her to hear that one simple word. Tears running down her cheeks she said yes as he smiled in triumph pulling her into a hug.

A month after their engagement they had their traditional marriage and introductions were made on both sides of the family.

"Where are we going?"
Jake simply smiled saying it's a surprise as he took her hand in his as he drove out of the city.
Arriving at a house that was almost completed he showed her around the bare house asking her opinions and whether she liked the design.
She smiled complementing the exquisite design as he asked her what colors would work in each room as well as the furniture.

"Why are you asking me all this?"
"I'm building this house for a client and they want it furnished once complete hence why I'm asking for your opinion my dear since I trust you more," he said with a twinkle in his eye.
"Oh okay," she shrugged as he took note of all she said.
"You seem to be good at this. I should build you your own house as a wedding present," he said in passing making her chuckle.
"We already have to look at our white wedding bill and you are think of building me a house. Sweetheart I am fine with the one we are living in," she said looking at the incomplete swimming pool.

He simply smiled as they went on to look at the landscape as she threw in some ideas but insisting on asking professionals to which he agreed to.

A few weeks later

"You May now kiss your bride," the priest said as everyone cheered looking at the couple before them. Looking at her new in-laws she knew her mother in-law was not pleased with her son marrying a woman who could not give her son children. But despite everything he had convinced her that he wanted to marry Esther.

Jake managed to take her mind off this matter and made her laugh during the reception. Leaving earlier after receiving gifts from family and friends she leaned back in her seat drifting off to sleep as he drove them home. She had refused leaving for a honeymoon and opted to stay at home with without any interruptions from the rest of the world.

Soft lips woke her up as she opened her eyes to see her husband looking at her.
"We are home Mrs Sinclair," he murmured.
"Hmmm has a nice ring to it doesn't it," she giggled as he helped her out of the car.

Carrying her in his arms she frowned seeing the very house they had visited a month ago.
"Isn't this your client's house?"
"Actually it's my wife's house," he said as she looked at him in shock. "My gift to you love," he said as he pushed the door open placing her on her feet to lock up properly.

Turning back to look at her he found her looking at him in disbelief.
"I don't deserve this Jake," she said.
"You my dear. Deserve more than this and I am going to make sure you are satisfied in all areas of your life," he said pulling her into his arms. "I know you want to explore the house but first I want to explore you after all your teasing," he whispered.
"What teasing?" She asked innocently.
"Do you know how many cold showers I had to take because of you my dear," he said pulling her zip down.
"How many?" She asked with a mischievous smile.
"More than enough," he murmured against her lips as she pulling his shirt down before reaching for his belt buckle until he stopped her. "Let's start with your pleasure first," he murmured.
