•THE VANISHING OF WILL BYERS•

IT WAS EARLY MORNING, or what it seemed like as two young girls wandered around the forest of Hawkins. Both in hospital gowns, both tired, and dirty. Gripping each other's hands tightly and keeping each other company.

All you could hear was the birds chirping and the crunch of the leaves as both girls walked. The buzzed cut girl stopped which caused The other one to as well, they both saw a white house, near a road, and a couple of cars in the front and soon a man with a trash bag coming out to dispose of trash.

They looked at each other and nodded going to the household and to see if there was anything useful. The girls were cautious and opened the door slowly, they still held hands and walked through the door and into another room.

They peaked out and saw other people eating, seeing the same man they saw outside talking to others. While distracted the two went into the kitchen and gazed around seeing it for the first time.

They walked around until they saw a basket of fries, checking to see if the man was watching they began to dig in as if they had never eaten before.

Both kept checking to see if he was watching until they soon heard a yell. Startling both of them as it boomed loudly throughout the restaurant.

"HEY!" The man yelled, running to the back.

The two girls were startled and grabbed the food and went for it. Both trying to escape until the man had gotten a hold of one of them.

"You think you can steal from me boy?!" He yelled until he saw it was two frightened girls cowering in fear. He tried compensating the scene until he said under his breath.

"What the hell..." He said confused, his face no longer holding anger.

The two were given new clothes by the man and sitting at the table both still gripping each other so they wouldn't feel alone. The buzzed cut girl wore a big yellow T-shirt and the other wore a big green T-shirt both of them going to their knees. The diner was empty now for the man had asked everyone to leave so he could interrogate the two young girls.

The man would glance back and again just to make sure they didn't run away again. He was cooking burgers on the stove for the two girls and soon came in with two burgers in a basket. As soon as he put it on the table the two girls grabbed theirs quickly and began to eat.

"Geez your parents forget to feed you?" He asked them.

The two girls ignored him as they savored the food barely swallowing and just getting as much as they could.

"Is that why you two ran away?" He said asking another question but yet being ignored again. "Did they hurt you?"

The buzzed cut girl ignored him but the blonde one glances at him for a second but when he looked at her she looked back down and continued to eat. The two knew they were always mistreated because of who they were, at the lab they were barely fed and if they did something wrong they would be locked away for days end.

"You were at the hospital, you ended up scared and you wound up here? Is that it?" He asked them, and after being ignored for the last time he took their burgers away from them and the girls looked at him in fear.

"Okay, I'll give this back. You can have as much as you want, maybe even some ice cream but you have to answer some of my questions." He told them, the two girls were silent and he sighed and continued to talk.

"Alright I'll start with the easy stuff. My name is Benny." He held out his hand but the two just looked at hand and didn't know what to do. He grabbed one girl's hand and then the other's and shook it.

"Nice to meet you. And you two are?" He asked the girls.The girls looked at each other and pointed to the numbers on their wrists one with 011 and the other with 12.

"Eleven? Twelve? What does that mean?" He asked.

"No." Eleven spoke, and Benny looked at her.

"Well I be damned one of you speaks. No? No what?" He asked, confused on her answer. With no answering and them being silent, he sighed and grabbed the burgers.

"Alright, no more food then." He told them, walking away from them.The two girls panicked and both nodded to each other.

"Eleven." Eleven said, introducing herself and pointing at herself.

"Twelve." Twelve said as well and following Eleven's movement of pointing at herself.

"Yeah what's it mean?" Benny asked once more.

The two girls pointed at themselves and then said their names once more to Benny.

"Eleven."

"Twelve."

Benny knew that was all he was going to get and nodded, giving them their burgers back to them and they continued to chow on it, both not swallowing but just trying to get as much as they could.

"Take it easy." He said and getting up to go to the kitchen.

The girls looked around until Eleven saw a fan making noise annoying herself and Twelve. While Twelve saw ripe strawberries still waiting to grow next to the window, Eleven concentrated and turned it off with ease. While Twelve closed her eyes and soon the strawberries were a beautiful red. Both of their nose, having blood fall out, wiping it away and going back to their food.

It was soon nighttime at Benny's household, Eleven and Twelve were sitting on a table eating ice cream. Benny decided to treat both of the girls, and gave Eleven strawberry and Twelve, chocolate. Both of the girls were devouring the cold substance, both of them switching tubs of ice cream to have a taste. Benny smiled at the two girls, seeing them be comfortable around her and happy that they were slowly trusting him.

"You like that ice cream huh?" He said while cleaning dishes. The two girls smiled and he grinned

"That smile looks good, you know smile." He smiled making the two girls smile again and continue to eat ice cream. They heard a knock and the girls looked at the door and back scared. Twelve immediately grabbed Eleven's hand and stared at her in fear.

"Sit tight, whoever it is I tell them to go away real quick." Benny said placing his dish rag down and heading toward the door.

The girls turned around and watched as Benny opened the door and began to talk. They both tried to hear what they were saying but could only hear whispers. They couldn't see who was at the door so they were still a little skittish. But Benny let the person inside, hearing Benny a little louder. As Benny began to walk toward the girls, they could hear him clearly.

"You know your voice sounds different then the-" Benny couldn't finish his sentence cause he was soon cut off by a bullet to the head.

The girls flinched, as they watched Benny fall to the ground lifeless and were shocked, dropping the ice cream to escape and ran for it. Both holding hands just as they did before and were stopped by men in the back. The men pulled their guns at them, having no remorse to shoot the girls if necessary. Eleven used her powers and snapped their necks and helped Twelve move past the bodies. Twelve looked behind them, seeing that the bad men hadn't seen them run into the forest.

Twelve shed tears as she realized Benny died because of them, holding onto her sister as he sister ran in front of her.

After a few moments of running, they turned their head behind them and heard nothing. The girls decided to walk, giving themselves a break after escaping. As they began to walk once more, they could hear the sound of thundering in the sky.

Twelve looked up and could see flashes of lightning, and a few moments thunder again. They both would flinch whenever they heard the thunder, both of them hoping they could find shelter somewhere.

But as they continued to walk the further they went and soon began to feel droplets on their skins. Feeling the rain, as it fell from the sky. And what started as a few droplets began to form into hard pouring rain.

Not to mention it was cold, making the two girls pull their arms into their chest hoping to warm them up. Eleven and Twelve still wore the long t-shirts but didn't help them much as they still were cold. Blood was coming out of Eleven's nose as she used her powers earlier, and Twelve notice and decided to wipe away the blood and Eleven gave her a small smile.

The girls wandered and wander until all of a sudden they saw flashes of light. The girls grew scared and wondering if it was the bad men and hid behind a tree. They soon heard voices and began to worry more, they saw light grow brighter and obviously when Twelve slipped against the wet leaves the noise caught their attention.

When they tried to sneak past the three figures soon the flashing light went onto them. They both squinted seeing it was three boys behind the lights. And all of them looking at the girls in curiosity and shock.

"Holy shit dude." One of the boys said.

The girls held onto each other as they didn't know what to do. They knew they couldn't go on forever and had to trust the boys with their lives.
