"So you have decided to continue with this little affair of yours," Nia heard making her stop her giggles as they both turned to face Clive.
Instinctively moving closer to Cas who welcomed her wrapping his arm around her holding her close they stood staring at the person who had decided to intrude them.
"My little wife, having fun in the world I see," Clive smirked. "I wonder how the public would react to all this," he murmured waving his arm at them.
Ignoring him Cas turned them towards the shelves stocked with different cereals.
"Should we get your favorite or my favorite kitten," he murmured against her temple making her smile forgetting about dear old Clive.
"Let's get yours then mine next time," she replied reaching for the box but was stopped when a hand clamped around her wrist.

Her whole body froze in that instant as she felt the warm hand around her wrist (bet you thought I would say cold hand, yes, no, oh well) , but the touch was not gentle but a vice grip. Cas did not move an inch though, as two of his men walked up to them.

"I told you what would happen if anyone lay a hand on her," he said speaking to the men who looked both frightened and angry at the same time as he slowly let go of her stepping in front of her, shielding her from Clive's view.
Before she could contemplate what was happening Clive was threatening Cas to let go of his hand as Cas twisted his fingers making the man go down on his knees in pain.

"The next time you lay even a finger on her, you will wake up with no hand," he seethed before the two men went to grab Clive but were stopped by his own men who arrived at the scene.
Standing up wearing a smirk as he flexed his fingers massaging his hand he looked a Nia. A few shoppers stood at a distance watching the drama unfold.

"I see you have a thing for powerful men, but remember who you belong to," he said sending her a wink as she stood paralyzed with fear as he left them.

Taking a deep breath Cas turned to face Nia but lost all color as he saw her state.
"Baby," he said gently tilting her head up to face him, snapping her out of her trance. "Nia, please say something," he said cupping her face before pulling her towards his chest as she trembled in his arms.
He knew there was more but he didn't want to push her for any answers. Leading her out of the store they headed back home in silence.

Ever since Clive had entered their lives the ride back home was now always in silence.

"Nia I need to know what happened," Cas stated as they stood in their room.
With a slight nod he pulled her towards the bed as she relaxed in his arms and began to narrate her story.

Five years ago

"Marry me and I will be the happiest man on this earth," Clive beamed as he looked into her eyes holding out the engagement ring.
"Yes," she smiled as they stood in the middle of the park oblivious to the screams of children and other pedestrians walking by without a care in the world.

As soon as she uttered that word, yes, her life changed from sweet to sour before her very eyes.
Their wedding night was no wedding night at all. So many stories had her friends told her that she believed he would be the one to take her womanhood on such a night. But no instead he spent their honeymoon focused on work.

When her friends asked her she lied that it was the best night of her life. A night she would never forget as she sat up worrying about his whereabouts after he had informed her he had an important meeting.
But she soon realized why he had no interest in her in that department, as he had a mistress. She discovered this after hiring a private investigator to follow him. Call her paranoid but what type of marriage was this that she had to lie that she was happy when she wasn't.

Upon confronting him she regretted such a move as she got the first taste of blood in her mouth. Being the only daughter of an exceptional businessmen and a superb fashion designer for a mother she realized why he had married her. For her name and money. Upon marriage he had access to her father's money, money he had in her name before he passed on. A few months later her mother died from the heartbreak of losing her father. Everyone spoke of how their love was fated and there was no way her mother would have lived long without him.

"What use are you? All you do is spend money!" He growled one night as he barged into her room. Sleep in the same they did not, after all theirs was not a marriage.
"What are you talking about Clive?" She asked already preparing herself for what was to come.
"What type of dress costs five thousand dollars?" He spat as she looked at him in confusion.
"What the hell are you talking about. You know very well I have never touched a dime of your money," she responded looking at him straight in his cold eyes. She knew he knew who the culprit was.

"Don't you dare lie to me," he said slapping her before she could react. Silence followed as she held her cheek looking at him already tasting the blood.
Before she could move further away from him he gabbed ahold of her collar pulling her closer towards him.
"You are going to reimburse me this five thousand or you will not like the end result of our end conversation," he growled shoving her away from him as she tripped on her feet landing on the ground.

"Go f**k yourself, you will never see a dime of my father's money," she spat wiping away the blood from her lip as she realized his ring had cut her.
"Why you little piece of..." He growled as he punched her sending her down on the ground before she felt the stab of his foot in her gut as he kicked her repeatedly.

Panting he stopped as he looked at her.
"Kill me for all I care. We both know you are a little weak man," she smiled looking at his exhausted form. Each night he brought up one problem or another to just find a reason to hit her.

Looking up at him she saw him reach for his belt as he unzipped his pants.
"Weak," he seethed as he gabbed ahold of her legs dragging her towards him as he ripped her underwear.
"Get off me!" She screamed clawing at him making sure she drew blood in the process as she heard him curse.
"Let's see you is weak. I am going to show you," he yelled above her screams.

"Please don't," she cried as she started to feel her body weaken most likely from the adrenalin rush depleting. The doors swung open as she saw the head butler running towards him along with their maid.

Pulling Clive away from her he held him back as he sent a string of curses her way.
"Let go of me you sick bastard!" He yelled at the butler.
"Call for an ambulance," was the last thing she heard as she fainted.

Waking up in the hospital she found a police officer sitting in a chair beside her bed.
The doctor informed her she might never have children because of the extensive damage caused by Clive as he kicked her repeatedly.
After telling the officer what had happened she gave her a compassionate smile, but her smile widened when Nia mentioned divorcing Clive.
"I can help you disappear," she said making Nia sit up out of interest.

And so the papers were drawn and served, but as she did this she prepared the documents for her new life. Away from the likes of Clive.

-----

"That's enough for now, let's get some rest love," he murmured wiping away her tears.
He closed his eyes as he took a deep breath to calm himself down. It was because of Clive Nia would never have children and he knew how much she wanted children,  the his the reason they were looking into adoption.
He also realized why she had always avoided talking about her past, always focusing on the future which was a quality he loved about her. So many things made sense now as to why it was difficult to get the file he had on her. The police had been involved in making her disappear.

"Sleep kitten," he whispered as she sighed in relief as he murmured more sweet words into her ear.

--------

Early morning

"Breathe," he whispered as he kissed his way up to her neck before gently biting her leaving his mark.
"Please don't tell me you have marked me with another hickey," she cried in frustration as he pulled her on top of him.

"Kitten you should see the scratches, Nia...," he moaned as he closed his eyes in pleasure before she stopped moving a knowing smirk on her face.
Grabbing her hips he drove himself deeper into her warm pools as her head tilted back in ecstasy.
She screamed out his name as she climaxed making him join her as he cried out hers. She fell onto his chest spent and panting as though she had been running a marathon.

"Best morning ever," he smiled as she felt him stir awake once more.
"Again?" She asked looking troubled.
"We have only gone for two rounds, plus I thought you missed me," he asked with a pout.

"I did miss you," she smiled as she began to ride him slowly. "So, very much," she whispered as he grabbed her hands before she could elicit more of her claw marks.

"Don't you dare close your eyes," he growled as he sat up.
"Or what?" She asked with a cocky grin as she felt the first wave of an orgasm hitting her as he drew out of her leaving her bare.

"Cas," she begged as he picked her trembling body up.
"Whats wrong kitten?" He asked casually.
"I need you," she panted.
"I know," he said with a smirk. "But we need to get to work remember kitten," he said as warm water cascaded down upon them.
He made sure to not let go of her or else she would crumble to the floor.

"Baby," she whispered as her hand closed around his member.
"Nia," he said all resolve gone as he found pleasure in her mere touch.
"You shouldn't have done that," she said as she watched the play of emotions on his face before stopping her game.
"Nia what are you doing?" He groaned as she began to kiss his chest going down to his member.

"F**k," he whispered as she gently blew down his length before licking his tip coming back up again.
She smiled in triumph when he hoisted her up against the wall as her legs wound around him. He held her gaze as he slowly took her watching her eyes widen in pleasure as she opened her mouth only for no sound to come out as he held her in place pulling out at the same pace he had taken her.

Her nails dug into his skin as he sent a string of curses to no one in particular.

Stepping out of the shower he placed her on the counter as he increased his tempo bringing them both to the brink of insanity for this was what she wanted. Who was he to deny her such pleasure and pain if he could provide it.

------

He wore a knowing smirk as she walked, no, more like limped into the kitchen as he nursed a cup of coffee.
"You better wipe that smirk off your face," she muttered as she grabbed a plate of breakfast.
"What I'm just happy you are home," he  smiled.
"I don't feel the same way you do," she mumbled as she stabbed her sausage making him wince.
"Well in my defence you started it," he smiled.
"Well in my defence you started it," she mimicked sending him a glare as a maid brought her some pain killers.

"I'm sorry baby," he said looking worried as she looked at him with a straight face before she burst into laughter as he stared at her baffled.
"The look on your face was priceless I tell you!" She giggled making him smile.

"Cas?" She asked in question as he moved towards her before he started tickling her loving the sound of her laughter as she begged him to stop.
"Finally you are both down!" They heard as Cas stopped tickling her.

Turning towards the entrance they found Lincoln and Melinda Shields.

"Mel," Nis beamed as she saw the woman who has become one of her most trusted friends if not a sister.
"Nia," she cried moving towards her as they embraced like long lost sisters.

"Wait a minute what time did you get here?" Cas asked in confusion.
"An hour or so back," Linc murmured as Cas looked at his wrist watch.

"Umm you guys should talk to my contractor about making a few changes," Linc murmured to Cas making Nia frown as Mel tried her best to not laugh.

"We were taking a stroll outside and well let's just say we know why you took so long to come down," Mel whispered as Nia's eyes widened in embarrassment.
"Oh gosh, I...I...would you like some coffee Mel?" Nia said.
"Yes please," Mel smiled sending Linc a wink as he coughed trying to hide his laughter.

Cas still looked confused but Linc would definitely tell him what was up.

----

As they lay in bed that evening the words he uttered made her go numb.
"I need you to go back to him," he said as he felt her become tense in his arms.

Oh oh😲😲
