"Caspian you must return home, your mother is unwell," he heard his father say.
"I will be there by this evening," he said ending the call as he canceled all his appointments.

It had been a week since he saw her and now he had to leave the country. As soon as they landed he cursed the entourage he saw knowing his father was up to this.
He had built a reputation as the unguarded oil prince only moving with two men at most. What the public didn't know was that his security blended with them thus giving him that reputation of lacking much security for a desert prince.

Heading back home he was greeted by paparazzi as always but made sure to not respond to any of their questions.
He still hadn't revealed to her who exactly he was or that he owned the worlds largest oil reserves as one of his wealth sources.
Control the worlds largest oil supply and you have control over nations and some of the worlds most powerful men. All she knew was he had friends in high places and ran a conglomerate. And he was moving towards biogas as well, basically anything which was lucrative business he dealt with on a large scale as long as it was legal.

He could easily bring a nation to its knees if he so wished. Just stop the oil supply after all everyone used some form of energy these days. Coal was slowly becoming depleted in many nations but his oil was still intact. Even the desert princes were now relying on his plant all thanks to his knack for geography which he took as a side course during business school.

It was good to be back home but he would have loved to bring Nia along with him, she would definitely love the place.
Call him possessive by before he left he made sure she was well guarded and that her lover boy was kept busy with work, there was no way he was going to give her the kind of attention he could provide her after all she was his wife. Looking at his watch it read 15:49 and his call would be coming in the next minute.

"Madam is safe and sound in her apartment," he heard as he answered the call.
"Good. Make sure it remains that way," he replied in a clipped tone before hanging up. He made a mental note to call her later on after settling down.

Nia

As soon as I got home I took a relaxing bath before I started working on dinner, some lasagna sounded lovely and that is what I got to work on. A knock on my door resulted in me turning down the oven before heading to see who it was.

Opening the door slightly I came face to face with a man whose looks could definitely charm the pants off any woman.
"Hello darling," he said in a deep voice.
"Clive," I whispered in disbelief.
"How long has it been a year or two," he murmured tilting his head to the side. "Aren't you going to let me in?" He asked.

"Forgive me," I stuttered removing the door chain. "It's been two years, no sorry four years, I kinda lost track of time," I added answering his question.
"Four long miserable years without you," he murmured before flashing her a charming smile. "But now that I am back we can pick up were we left off dear wife," he smiled reaching for her.

"Wife. When did we get married?" I asked in bewilderment.
He reached into the back pocket of his jeans before he produced a marriage certificate that clearly had my signature.
He was indeed telling the truth I realized as I looked for a chair to sit down before my legs gave out.

"If we are married why were we separated for four years?" I asked.
"Well you sort of ran away from home after a fight we had. And I have been looking for you all this while," he answered smoothly.
I looked at him to see any tails of a lie, but there none. "What where we fighting about?"
"Well I kinda cheated on you," he said in shame.
I looked at him as he looked up at me. A few seconds passed, what did he want me to say.
"Okay. And we did not divorce after such, because I sure I would have divorced you as soon as I discovered you cheated."
"No we didn't," he said with a wide smile. "That's why I am here, to give us another chance. I heard about your memory loss and I want to help you. Maybe this way we can get back to what we had," he said earnestly.

"Hmmm I don't know about this," she said in doubt. "I need to think over what you just told me," she said.
"Take all the time you need I am in no hurry at all darling," he said standing up. "I'll see you tomorrow," he smiled heading towards the door.

Caspian

"I have already lost fifty million dollars because of your incompetence. I told you to send a team of experts to that oil site, not rookies," Cas said in fustration as he looked at his phone seeing an image of Sonia walking with another man before turning to the groups of men he was addressing.
"Get me back all my money or else," he seethed standing up and leaving the room.

Once in his car he called the security team who kept an eye on Nia.

"Who is he?"
"He claims to be her husband," was the response he got making him curse.
"Get me everything on him now. Also run a background check on my wife," he said regretting this. He had promised her that he would never do such, but now he had to or else these vultures would continue to come and pick on his wife.

Dialing her number a smile appeared on his tense features as she said hello.
That simple word was enough to make his day.
"Hello kitten," he said hearing her gasp. "Now don't tell me I just stole your breath," he chuckled relaxing into his seat as they headed back to his parents estate.
"Cas," she said clearly with a smile on her face.
"Miss me?" He asked wearing a cocky grin.

"Now why would I bother with such frivolities," she retorted back.
"Ouch, that really hurt. Now if I was there you would have to give me a make up kiss or something more," he said smoothly.
"Very funny Cas. Now how may I help you, hopefully you don't want to pick my brain over restaurant matters," she said.
"Well no my dear. Wait what are you doing right now?" He asked upon hearing several voices in the background.
"Grocery shopping," she murmured.
"Hmmm don't forget to get me some Doritos," he smiled.

"Now why would I buy you anything?"
"Because," he simply stated.
"Because?"
"They are your favorite," he said in a husky tone. "And you always fought me for the last chip resulting in so much negotiating," he murmured.

He was greeted by silence.
"Kitten," he said into the receiver.
"I'm still here. So you called me to tell me about what chips I like," she asked trying to divert the conversation to a safer topic.
"Well that and to ask you to go on a date with me this coming Friday."

"Umm I can't really do that because I have other things happening on Friday," she said only for her to be greeted by silence.
"Very well, I will see what I can do to rectify that problem," he said.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I will shift my schedule around and come home early for our date on Thursday."
"And who said I am free on Thursday?"
"Well I can have a nice chat with your boss about giving you a day off, then have a nice chat with you about coming along with me on our date," he smirked.

"Ma'am watch out!" He heard someone yell.
"Sweetheart!" He yelled into the phone as he heard several voices talking over each other.
"I told you to not move the car!"
"I..I wanted to move the shelf just a little bit."
"Ma'am are you alright. Oh gosh she is bleeding lets get her to the hospital.

After a while the line went dead as he told the driver to hurry up.

It's about time you got home," his father said with a frown. "Your mother was pestering me about your whereabouts," he said with a smile that softened his features instantly at the mention of his wife.
"I am here dad," he said with a smile trying his best to hide his impatience to leave. "But I need to leave, Nia has been involved in an accident."
"Go, I will explain to your mother," was all his father said. "But hurry back son, she doesn't have much long," he added as Cas ran back out of the house heading straight to the airport.

-----

As he stared outside his phone rang and once he saw the caller id he picked it up once.
"Cas.were are you? You...you left me," he heard her sob.
"Never in a million years would I leave you kitten. I will be there shortly," he said with such conviction he prayed they would make it fast to her.
Driving like a madman he drove to the hospital she had told him she had been admitted into.

As he arrived he found a confused looking David standing in the lobby?
"Mr Vanderbilt you have to help me. Sonia believes she is your..your wife. Can you imagine such, I mean you married to her a simple waitress."
"The next time I hear you utter such rubbish, you will be sucking on those lips for all eternity just to make sure you remain silent," he growled before turning away with a smile as he rushed towards the room he had just seen David walk out of.

She lay curled up on the bed, facing away from the door. As he slowly shut the door, she stopped her sniffles.
"Sweetheart," he said in a gruff voice praying she would face him.
Slowly walking up to the bed he climbed onto it and pulled her into his arms as she turned towards him.

"Hello," he smiled looking at the bump on her forehead before placing a kiss beside it.
"Cas." She said in disbelief.
"Now why would I ever leave you?" He smiled.
"I woke up and you where not there," she mumbled.
"I would never leave you. But you on the other hand decided to leave me for three and a half months," he said with a smile.
"Well it's not my fault I forgot that ugly face of yours," she replied making him laugh out loud.
"I missed you so much," he said looking into her eyes as he pulled her closer.
"I missed you too," she said with twinkle in her eyes before worry appeared on her face.
"You haven't been eating," she said running her fingers over his stubble covered jaw.
"How could I when you had me worried sick over how I would get you back into my arms," he murmured.

Eyes locked they just took each other in before they both heard someone clear their throat.
"Well it's good to finally have you here sir. The patient is alright, just a minor head injury. She can go home and get some pain killers for the headache that she will soon experience," the doctor said handing over a prescription.

"Thank you for taking care of my wife," Cas said with a wide grin. "I'll take care of her from here onwards," he added looking at her sending her a wink that had her smiling shyly.

-----

As he was helping her put on her shoes the door was swung open.
"This is the man who kidnapped my wife," said the latest visitor as two uniformed officers walked in.
"Clive," Nia exclaimed all color draining from her face before she looked towards Cas who was not even putting up a fuss.
"Everything is going to be alri..."
His words died on his lips as she passed out luckily this time she landed on the bed.
