20 - Parker

Crying like a baby in his mothers arms his father turned away to leave. His mother released him stepping back to look at her broken baby boy just as Lucien arrived hugging his little brother with all his might.
"Don't ever pull a stunt like that ever again," he said in a thick tone letting go of him. "I swear do such a thing again...," he said stopping as he saw a smirk form on his brothers face.
"Wipe that smirk off your face before I do it myself," he growled.
"I didn't know you cared," Cas said in a taut voice as he looked away from his brother to his mother.

"Boys!" She reprimanded.
She smiled at them shaking her head as she moved to sit on the sofa patting the two spots beside her. After making sure that they were alone she held both her boys' hands as they looked at her worriedly.
"Don't give me those looks I will be fine after two more sessions," she chuckled as they tried to smile failing miserably.

"Now your father has been a very busy man so I have seen," she said gravely. "Promise me you will forgive his foolish actions he wants the best for you even though his intentions have clearly clouded his judgment. And with the person he is associating with at the moment I am sure he is being fed lies by this man child named Clive."

"When is your next chemotherapy session," Cas asked changing the subject not wanting to talk about Clive.
"No need for you to worry about that. What you must focus on is grieving your wife accordingly," she said softly seeing the pained expression Cas wore. "But remember this, when you do see Clive, be sure to add an extra punch or two on my behalf. Maybe even remind his family jewels about how to treat women," she said making both men chuckle.

Getting up Lucien led the way out of the room as Cas walked his mother to the door.
"Now you may continue with grieving, just don't do anything drastic son," his mother said softly but loud enough for the guards to hear.
"I can't stay here. I just need to be alone," he murmured watching her nod her head in understanding.
"Just be safe," she said patting his hand.

His brother nodded in understanding as he took his mothers arm.
"I will have a car prepared for you," he said. But they both knew he would be using the helicopter as a means of his escape.

Without another word he closed the door turning to look around him.
His room was still the same, clean and masculine. Nia would have rearranged the entire room in a heartbeat bringing in her feminine touch here and there. That's one thing he admired about her. She never considered herself alone in redesigning their room. Every room held both girly qualities as well as manly qualities. One never felt out of place in whatever room they were. He had even allowed her to go crazy in his office, something he would ever remain grateful for remembering the negotiations that took part in that room, both business and personal.

Just the thought had him growing hard as he cursed heading for the bathroom.
As he showered the image from his dream came back to haunt him as he saw blood being washed down the drain. Closing his eyes and opening them to clear his thoughts he saw blood being washed down the drain. Removing his bandage he saw that his stitches had come undone as blood oozed out of his wound.
Turning off the water he stepped out of the shower drying himself as best he could. Calling in a Doctor he waited for the elderly man to arrive but was surprised to see a woman instead.

"Where is Doctor Collins?"
"He is not feeling well. So I am taking over his duties for the time being?"
"And you are?"
"Dr Collins, his daughter," she smiled peeling the gauze off his wound.

"Its okay," he said stopping her as she was about to inject the anesthetic. Stitching up his wound after cleaning it he thanked her as she packed up her bag.

"Give your father my greetings," Cas said grabbing the bottle of pain medication.

Noticing a bottle of alcohol on the table she frowned.

"You do know you cannot mix alcohol with your medication right?"

"Yes doc," he said opening the bottle tipping it over. "My brother took care of disposing all my pain meds."

"But..."

"I will be perfectly fine," he smiled reaasuringly as he directed her to the door.

"Please be careful with your wounds," she said.

As soon as she left he put a shirt on heading for the door.

"Prince Caspian your father said to not let you leave the palace," he heard a guard stutter.

Closing his eyes he pinched the bridge of his nose letting out a sigh.

"If you know whats best for you, you will step aside," he said in a low voice.

"But sire," the other said stopping when Cas looked straight into his eyes.

Without another word they parted as Cas passed them stopping as he swiveled on his heel facing them.

"My father will skin you alive if you tell him as you are. I must say I am going to enjoy this," he said taking the first guard by surprise as he punched him so hard the man fell down holding his nose as blood slowly dripped out. "I promise its not bad as it looks," he said to the second guard who looked at his partner before he received a double punch to the gut and a punch to his jaw and eye.

Stepping back to admire his handiwork Cas inspected his knuckled smirking seeing no bruising present.

"Not bad at all. Enjoy your day gentlemen," he said walking away from them.

Following a path he knew security rarely monitored he walked up to the roof spotting Lucien as he shook hands with the pilot.

Putting on his shades he hugged his brother goodbye before boarding the helicopter. As they lifted off he saw his father looking murderous instructing the guard to shoot them down. Lucien seemed to counter the order telling them to stand down.

Watching them fade he turned to look in the direction they where heading to, his home. Not even his father would dare come close to his territory. Upon arrival he was not surprised to find his friends there, already going over the plans they had prepared. As soon as he entered the room they all became quiet watching him.

"Caspian," Vlad said becoming silent when Cas raised his hand in silence.

"Don't," he said looking at each and everyone of them. "Is everyone in place?" he asked.

"Yes. Nicole is keeping Clive busy," Ethan smirked as he shrugged on his jacket.

"Perfect," he said looking at the large screen. Everyone responsible for his pain was up on the screen. The most recent pictures showing them with either their families or lovers or doing more dirty work.

"F**king armatures," he snarled as he rubbed over his wound. "How is Linc?"

"Still in a coma, the doctors don't know why he isn't waking up."

Letting out a sigh he nodded his head in understanding wondering how Mel was faring.

"We leave in an hour," he growled leaving the room. Reaching their bedroom door he stopped in his tracks letting out a shaky breath. Taking hold of the door knob he slowly turned the know opening the door slightly. The first thing to greet him was the sight of her robe draped over the bed. Grabbing a-hold of it he inhaled her scent feeling himself calm down before he found himself sinking to the ground beside the bed. Looking at the piece of cloth he just sat staring at it not even realizing the tears soaking the material.

"Cas!" he heard someone call out with a knock. "We have to go," he heard realizing it was Roland.

"I'm on my way," he responded wiping his tears away.

Changing his attire he left their room.

"So fishing first is it?" he asked Ethan as he put on his shades.

"No need to fish. Its more of a catch and release mission. Vlad is with you on this one. The rest of us will go keep an eye on the others," Ethan said checking the safety-lock of his gun.

"Vlad shall we," Cas said walking out onto back towards his jet.

Within two hours they where making their way onto an impressive yacht.

"My, my, business surely is booming," Cas said with a whistle as the boat started to move away from the docks.

Vlad simply smirked as they made their way to the salon. Already a meal had been prepared for them as they sat down to enjoy some food.

"So Parker, tell me exactly how you know Clive," Cas asked as he cut into his steak. "And if I was you, I would choose my words very, very carefully," he said looking directly into the mans' eyes who sat across from him.

Parker looked around the empty room before looking back at Cas and Vlad.

"I think he needs a reminder on how to speak," Cas murmured after swallowing his food as he wiped his mouth.

"Let me have the honor of reminding him. After all he is the one that put Linc in hospital," Vlad said standing up. "Besides it might get messy and white and red don't really go," he said looking at Cas's attire before indicating his black suite and shirt.

"If you insist," Cas shrugged.

Taking Parker by surprise the man kept yelling, "Unhand me!" as Vlad dragged him to the stern of the boat. Whilst they tied some rope around his ankle he continued to struggle as Vlad held him in tight grip.

"As you wish," Vald smirked as he pushed him off the boat.
"Help! Me!" He cried as he spat out water struggling to stay afloat.
Watching him for a few more seconds Cas finally nodded his head towards a crew member as they reeled him up until he was eye level with Cas.

"Parker," he said as the man dangled freely by his ankle. "How do you know Clive Bishop?"
"I don't know anyone by that name," he spat out.
Cas smirked as he turned to face Vlad.
"Now I understand that whole catch and release scenario Ethan mentioned earlier as the line was released causing Clive to go back into the water.
Pulling him back up they didn't bother asking him as the boat began to move picking up momentum.

Two chairs and a table where placed before them allowing Cas and Vlad to take their seats.
"So Vlad how is business?" Cas asked making small talk as Parker begged for a show of mercy.
"His ankle is swelling up," Vlad winced as he placed the glass of lemonade down. Cool him down," he said as Parker cried out before hitting the water and being dragged through the cold liquid.

Cas seemed to have zoned Parker out until he finished his meal. Once done they reeled Parker back up he grabbed his steak knife and before anyone could stop him he slit Parkers' wrists stepping back before any blood touched him.

"Sharks!" A crew member yelled out making Parker realize what exactly was going to happen.

"Please, please. Get me down I will talk," he said as Cas released him to dangle above the waters.
As they released him he kept on yelling, "I'll talk!" Over and over until they stopped when he was halfway down.
"I'm sorry I didn't catch that," Cas smirked.
"I'll talk," Parker cried out as they reeled him back up.

"Speak," Vlad growled as Parker wrapped his wrists up catching a breath.
"I was introduced to Clive by one of my men. He was paying big money for the job he had for us. I saw no need in questioning him so I sent two of my boys to that party of yours. It was only after the news broke out did I realize my mistake. See I was expecting you sooner than now. The idiot laughed in my face when I confronted him. I mean everyone in town knows not to mess around with the Shields. Lincoln has this team of badasses that make my boys look like headless chickens in a ring."

"Well Parker part of that team is sitting right in front of you," Cas stated.
"And I am going to have so much fun watching him die," Vlad said taking out a spiral knife.
"He is all yours Vlad," Cas said wearing a sadistic smile as Vlad stabbed Parker right in through his belly button. Was blood dripped onto the deck Vlad ordered for Parker to be sent back into the waters just as they spotted a shark.

"Now I know why you wanted us to come here," Cas murmured as they watched the water turn red. "Who is next?" he asked.

"Oh well let's see," Vlad said as he swapped his blade for an iPad.

Elsewhere

The room was sickeningly quiet from the chatter of human beings. Only the beep of machines audible.
Mel lay beside Linc fast asleep. It had been like this for the last few weeks. Walter would drop off work files for her as she worked by the desk which had been set up for her. Ken handled meetings for her giving her a detailed feedback of those meetings. The children where staying with their grandparents.

"Darling you need to wake up now. The twins are driving me insane and you are the only one that can handle them," Mel murmured as she gently stroked his cheek feeling the stubble peppering his jawline. "Just last week Rose declared she was on a diet, I mean what does she know about a diet. When I asked her where she had heard such from guess what she said the teachers at school," Mel stated laughing softly. "You better hurry up and wake up before you can't recognize your little girl," she added.

She looked at him seeing no response before letting out a sigh. Resting once more she felt her eyelids getting heavy blocking out the constant beep of the machines as she fell asleep.

"Mel," she heard someone whisper as her eyes opened wide awake.
"Mel," she heard again before someone cleared their throat.
Looking up at Linc she found green eyes on her. Closing his eyes he swallowed before he called her out again...
"Lincoln," she whispered as tears pooled her eyes.
