Baekhyun doesn't understand any of it.

He is just back from Ilsan.There were some problems there so he had to go and solve them.He was so tensed and sad that he had to be there today when it's Taehyung's father's death anniversary and Taehyung would be sad the whole day.He hates when Taehyung is sad.Even though Namjoon and Joonmyun were with him,Baekhyun feels like crap for not being here with Taehyung today and not being able to visit his father's grave like every year.Taehyung's father had a great influence in Baekhyun's life too.So he feels extra sad for not being here.

Baekhyun was worried for Taehyung the whole day.He had called Joonmyun if he was at home or the territory.Joonmyun replied with territory,which was odd cause normally this day Taehyung prefers to stay at home,but Baekhyun came to the territory first.When he stepped into the territory he expected to see a really sad and devastated Taehyung with bloodshot eyes but what he saw was completely different.

As soon as Taehyung spotted Baekhyun he ran to Baekhyun and jumped on him...happily..

Baekhyun wasn't sure if he was mistaken about his expression and aura or not.But he really seemed happy. Baekhyun didn't understand why and how he is so happy today of all days?

After the hug Taehyung looked at Baekhyun and Baekhyun could see his face clearly.His eyes were red from crying but his face looked happy.Why was he so happy?

"Hyung,you're back!"Taehyung said while holding his shoulder.

"..yeah..Taehyung-ah..is something up?"Baekhyun asked while cupping his cheeks worriedly,trying to see if he's faking this happiness,if he's okay.

A little part of Baekhyun's heart was also worried about the fact that what if he's not is right mind because of the grief.Baekhyun was also cursing himself in his mind for not being here knowing how hard this day is for Taehyung.

"Everything is amazing,hyung.I'm really happy today!"Taehyung said and held his hands and pulled them down from his cheeks.

"Yeah..but why..how..I mean.."Baekhyun was so taken aback by his behavior that he couldn't form a sentence correctly.

Taehyung laughed and said,"I just found out something today.We are now one big step closer to being genuinely happy.My biggest wish is one step closer to coming true."

What?

Baekhyun didn't understand what he said.He had no idea what he meant.But seeing him so happy warmed up Baekhyun's heart.It made him happy too. Baekhyun smiled and went to hug his little brother.Baekhyun is confused,but he is relieved that he didn't see Taehyung in the state he thought he would be in.

Taehyung happily hugged back equally as tight.

"So did you go and visit uncle?" Baekhyun asked not breaking the hug,"Namjoon and Joonmyun went with you,right?"

"No,we didn't go."

Baekhyun immediately broke the hug and looked at Taehyung in shock.

This was a first.This never happened before.

"What?Why?" Baekhyun asked,"Was it because I wasn't here?Namjoon and Joonmyun didn't come with you?They wouldn't do such thing though."

Baekhyun again started to curse himself for having to go to work on this day.

Before Taehyung could reply Baekhyun talked again,"You know what?Let's go now.The day isn't over yet and we can still go.I will call Namjoon and Joonmyun.Let's go together like every year."

Taehyung held Baekhyun's hands before he could get his phone out.Baekhyun looked at him curiously.

"Hyung,it's okay.You must be tired today.It really is okay.Besides I visited him a few weeks earlier,remember?So it's okay."

"But.."

Taehyung smiled,"Next year let's all of us go together."

"All of us four can go together tonight too....no matter how busy those two ar.."

"Hyung..all of us,"Taehyung said seriously,"The whole family."

Baekhyun frowned at bit.The whole family?Who else is there?Is he talking about taking the whole team there?Baekhyun's frown grew deeper thinking about that.Why would Taehyung suddenly want to take the whole gang there?What's the point?

Taehyung could see the confusion in Baekhyun's face and he didn't want Baekhyun to think about it more.It would cause trouble if he actually figures out what he's talking about.

"Hyung..why don't you take a break tonight?You are really tired,right?"Taehyung asked,"I'm worried about you."

"I'm okay,Tae."

"No...and yeah..before taking a break..report everything that happened in Ilsan today!And also meet Annie before going home.She missed you a lot,"Taehyung said.

Baekhyun smiled thinking about that.Taehyung saw that expression change and smiled as well.

Baekhyun looked at the watch.It's 11:20 already.

"Is Annie still at the territory?" Baekhyun asked.

"Yeah,She was helping Mark track down someone,"Taehyung said.

"Oh,okay!"

If Baekhyun wants to spend sometime with Annie,he would have to be quick about reporting Joonmyun about everything in Ilsan then he can go and be with Annie for sometime before she leaves.

Baekhyun frowned as soon as he entered Joonmyun's room.Both Joonmyun and Namjoon were there.And the vibe of the room was weirdly very happy.They smiled ear to ear after seeing Baekhyun.

"Hyung!Welcome back!"Namjoon said cherrfully.

"What's wrong with the two of you?You are scaring me,"Baekhyun said.

"Come on,don't be like that,"Joonmyun said while smiling,"So tell me what happened in Ilsan."

Baekhyun nodded,sat down and told him everything that happened and what he did to solve them as quickly as he could even though he was confused and weirded out by how happy the two of them looked.

After finishing telling them the story at the speed of light Baekhyun got up and was about to leave when Joonmyun said he could take a break today.He worked hard.Baekhyun refused as usual and left before Joonmyun could start a rant about how he is worried about Baekhyun's health and life.

Baekhyun sat on one of the boundary walls behind Joonmyun's office and texted Annie to come here.Annie quickly replied saying she was on her way.Even in her text she seemed excited,that made Baekhyun happy.

Annie came running towards him,Baekhyun smiled and jumped down and opened his arms.Annie quickly ran into his arms and hugged him really tightly.He chuckled and hugged her back.He felt happy immediately.

"I missed you,"She said burying her face in his chest.

"I did too,"Baekhyun said and put his chin on her head.

After the long hug,they both got up and sat on the boundary wall side by side. Baekhyun told her about everything in Ilsan and she listened attentively.Even though she wasn't saying anything Baekhyun could tell something was going on.She seemed more radiant than before,she had a big,genuine smile on her face.She was giving off such a happy aura.Baekhyun didn't see her this happy ever.But her eyes were a bit red,indicating she was crying for hours.

Baekhyun stopped talking about Ilsan and suddenly asked her,"Something big happened today,Huh?"

"What do you mean?"Annie asked while chuckling.

"Why are you so happy today?"Baekhyun asked.

Annie chuckled,"Is it that obvious?"

"Very," Baekhyun nodded,"You look the happiest I've ever seen you."

"You're right.Today I'm the happiest I've ever been,"Annie said.

"So why?I want to know which bastard made you this happy and not me?" Baekhyun asked,frowning.

Annie laughed.That laugh was so harmonious and beautiful it made Baekhyun's heart flutter.

"Will you just tell me?" Baekhyun asked.

"I'm just happy about the fact that I won't be lonely anymore,"Annie said and looked at Baekhyun,"Being lonely and having no one that has your back is awful.But thankfully I won't feel that anymore."

Baekhyun frowned thinking about what she just said.

Annie chuckled,"What?"

"Are you and Taehyung taking any sort of literature class or poem class behind my back because I didn't understand the shit you two are taking about today,"Baekhyun said,"Could you just not tell me simply what is up?"

Annie shook her head,"Not now.Probably later."

"Why?Tell me what you all are so happy about!I want to be happy too!"Baekhyun said.

"No,"Annie said and chuckled.

Baekhyun looked away angrily and pouted like a little kid.Annie found it so cute so she turned his face around and gave him a peck on his cheeks and said,"I'm sorry Baek.But I can't tell you that right now."

And then she looked at her watch,"Baek,it's almost 12,I gotta go."

Annie was about to jump off but Baekhyun suddenly grabbed her arm and made her stop,"We didn't see each other for so long,didn't even talk for more than five minutes and now you have to go?"

"Baek,what do I do?I have to go,"Annie said sadly.

"Don't go tonight,I will also take a break tonight.We don't have to work anymore.We will just hang out with each other,so don't go.."

Annie's heart was breaking seeing Baekhyun ask her to stay but she didn't have any other way,"Baek,I have to go.."

"Please,Ann.I missed you."

Annie closed her eyes and thought for awhile before opening them and saying,"Baek,I really can't tonight."

Baekhyun gave up,sighed and looked away angrily.

Annie felt sad disappointing Baekhyun like that but she couldn't do anything.She also missed Baekhyun like crazy and wanted to be with him.Annie sighed and jumped down.She turned and waved at him but he was so angry he didn't even look her way.

Annie was about to sadly walk away but suddenly a idea came in her head,she looked at Baekhyun and said,"Let's do this tomorrow!Tomorrow you can take a break and tomorrow I won't leave after 12 am.How does that sound?"

Baekhyun slowly turned to her,"Really?"

Annie nodded enthusiastically,"Tomorrow I will come at 8 like usual,then we can spend the whole night together doing whatever we want."

"Whatever?" Baekhyun smirked.

"Get your mind out of the gutter,Mr.Byun,"Annie said,"You know what?Forget it."

Annie turned around and was about to walk away.

Baekhyun widened his eyes and said,"No!Stop!I mean it's a deal!You can't back away now!"

Annie smiled happily,Baekhyun couldn't see that.She just raised her hand and showed him a 'v' while walking away.

"Don't you dare back away from your words tomorrow and don't forget it!" Baekhyun shouted from behind while watching her walk away.

After she walked away Baekhyun quickly texted Joonmyun saying that he would take a day off from tomorrow evening to the next morning.Joonmyun saw this message and agreed immediately.How could he say no when Byun Baekyun himself is asking for some time off from work?

After Baekhyun received the text from Joonmyun he smiled and looked at the sky.He doesn't know what made everyone so happy today,but Annie promising to not leave after 12 am tomorrow made him really really happy.Isn't it weird just how a single sentence from someone and their presence can make people so happy.Baekhyun didn't ever know that.He is so grateful to Annie for letting him know that.While thinking about her he finally realized that he has officially fallen for Annie,completely.It didn't shock him as much as it should've.He grew so close to Annie so quickly this had to happen sooner or later.She is the only person that makes him this happy,excites him,challenges him.

Baekhyun smiled.He doesn't want to keep this a secret from Annie.He is pretty sure she feels the same about him.So he should just tell her as quickly as possible.

Should I just do it tomorrow?

They would be able to spend sometime together outside work.So tomorrow is a perfect day.It is a bit faster than normal but nothing about his and Annie's relationship is normal.

Baekhyun got his phone out and texted Chanyeol.He at least needs to tell someone about what he's gonna do tomorrow.

To:Yeol

I think I'm gonna confess to Annie tomorrow.

Sent:12.08 am.

Baekhyun didn't put in detail what he's gonna confess but he is sure Chanyeol would understand it.Then he turned his phone off. Baekhyun knew Chanyeol would freak out over this news and message him 1000 times and he doesn't want to see this messages.Eventually Chanyeol would find him.They could talk after that.After turning the phone off,he looked at the sky and smiled again.

He is really looking forward to tomorrow.

Really,a lot.

Baekhyun worked a lot the next day as he would be taking a break starting from 8 pm till the next morning.He sorted everything out,gave Kun his duty in the warehouses for the night and now he was sitting in the casino,waiting for Annie to come.It's 7:00.Annie would come at 8:00.Baekhyun didn't want to plan anything for their 'date' today as he thought it would look forced and he also didn't know what normal couples do.They probably don't go on dates after 12.So Baekhyun just figured they would do what they want to do at the very moment.But he should at least find a good restaurant.He is tired of eating at those cheap restaurants even though Annie likes them.

Baekhyun was excited for today and really happy.He doesn't know the last time he got this excited.As Baekhyun was waiting for Annie and scrolling through his phone,Haechan came and sat beside him,sulking.

"What do you want?"Baekhyun asked,not looking up from his phone,"Whatever is it that you want,go ask someone else.Don't disturb me tonight."

"Why?"Haechan asked,"Cause you and Noona are going out tonight?"

"Did Chanyeol Tell you that?"Baekhyun asked.

Haechan shook his head.Last night while he was listening to his radio program Annie said that unfortunately she won't be present for the next day's session.There would be another host taking her place.Everyone was sad but Annie assured them that she will be back from the day after that.Haechan guessed it was because of Baekhyun as Baekhyun looked all dressed up tonight for a special occasion.

"Because of you I won't be able to listen to my favorite show tonight,take responsibility,hyung!"Haechan complained.

Baekhyun frowned not looking up from his phone but then immediately relaxed his face.He shouldn't get angry today.So he decided to pay no heed to whatever Haechan was saying and concentrate on his phone.

Haechan kept complaining and Baekhyun completely shut his ears.But one word caught his ears that made him drop his phone.

"What will I do tonight?I won't even be able to sleep!While you two will be there having fun.It's not fair,"Haechan said,"Kkaebsong."

Baekhyun widened his eyes and looked at Haechan trying to assure himself in his mind that he heard wrong,"What did you say?"

Haechan was weirded out by the behavior but repeated the word anyways,"Kkaebsong?"

A thousands of things ran through Baekhyun's mind as soon as he heard that.He tried not to freak out.

Haechan didn't understand what got Baekhyun so offended.Haechan was a bit scared as well.He tried to explain to calm Baekhyun in case he thinks this is an offensive or curse word.

"Hyung,this word is used to express.."

"I fucking know that..tell me where you heard that word!" Baekhyun got up and grabbed Haechan's both shoulders harshly.Haechan got really scared.

Baekhyun had lost all his control.He couldn't think straight.

"WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT WORD?" Baekhyun shouted,that resulted in Haechan starting to shiver slightly and everyone in casino turning to see what was happening. Baekhyun didn't give a shit as he shook Haechan and asked again,"Where did you hear that?"

"Hyung..our radio host says that a lot so.."Haechan somehow managed to answer.

Baekhyun took a deep breath trying to calm himself down.That didn't work at all.He couldn't think straight.A thousand questions and suspicions were running in his head.He decided to ask the most important and terrifying one first.The thought of this question and the possibilities of it being true drove Baekhyun crazy.But he needed to know it.

"Is..is Annie your radio host?" Baekhyun asked. Baekhyun could tell that Annie was Haechan's radio host since the day she kicked him to shut him up.He could guess but as Annie didn't want him to know what she did,he played dumb.But this is just a different story.

Please,say no.PLEASE!!

Baekhyun looked at Haechan trying to get the answer from him,praying and begging in his mind for the answer to be no.

Haechan was so scared of Baekhyun that time he completely forgot the fact that Annie asked him to not disclose it to Baekhyun.His mind wasn't working.So he blurted out the truth.

"Yes,hyung.Annie Noona is."

Baekhyun froze for a few moments.He didn't know what to feel.The lock of the memories he had caged inside his mind was broken.Memories started flooding out,driving him insane.Everything made sense now.Why Annie wanted to hide who she was,a radio host curing people's insomnia,her being so attached and similar to Taehyung,Joonmyun and Namjoon making sure Baekhyun doesn't find out who she is,Joonmyun and Namjoon slowly starting to talk about how they are five not four..everything made sense.Baekhyun had noticed everything but somehow he decided to not put pieces together.He decided to ignore all of these facts.

Why?

Because he wanted to hold on to the bit of happiness.

And this is what he gets?

Baekhyun left Haechan's shoulder and moved away.Haechan saw Baekhyun's angry expression quickly turn into emotionless then he broke out into really loud laughter.Haechan was shocked to see Baekhyun break out into this crazy laughter.He even clapped while laughing.

"Hyung..are you okay?"Haechan was concerned.He tried to hold Baekhyun to see what was happening to him.Haechan has never seen Baekhyun like this.He didn't know what to do.

Baekhyun stopped him and asked while laughing,"This is what I get,Huh Haechan-ah?For trusting?For trying to be happy?For trying to move on from my past?"

"Hyung.."Haechan was getting really really concerned.

Baekhyun continued to laugh crazily before it slowly stopped as his anger slowly started to show up on his face and slammed his fist on the table.

"Jokes on me for thinking that tonight would be one of the happiest nights of my life."

That evening at 7:35 Baekhyun entered Joonmyun's office room.Namjoon wasn't there.Joonmyun was writing about what everyone did today.Joonmyun was still happy about yesterday.He still had a smile on.He knew Baekhyun entered his room.He just said hi but didn't look up,he figured if Baekhyun needed to tell something he would tell it without being asked.But as Baekhyun didn't say anything for awhile,just sat across him while playing with one of the souvenirs on his table made Joonmyun stop writing and look up at Baekhyun.He immediately sensed something wrong with Baekhyun's aura.He had a smile on his face.That smile didn't seem of happiness.It gave him chills.But Joonmyun didn't pay much heed to that and asked,"Why are you here?Don't you and Annie have a date tonight?"

Baekhyun chuckled while continuing to play with the souvenir.That chuckle sent shivers down Joonmyun's spine.It was scary.Something was up.Something was very wrong here.Joonmyun was actually feeling a bit scared.

"Baek,What happened?"Joonmyun asked.

Baekhyun shrugged while keeping the souvenir down,"Can I not come to my hyung's room without any reason?"

Joonmyun smiled,still a bit wary.Seeing Baekhyun not say anything further made Joonmyun go back to his work.In the mean time Baekhyun got a handkerchief from from Joonmyun's drawer and again sat across Joonmyun and took his gun out to wipe it with the handkerchief.

Joonmyun didn't think much of it as he continued to write and Baekhyun continued to clean his gun.A little while passed Joonmyun started to think that nothing was wrong and he was mistaken.Baekhyun just came here to pass time.

Right then Baekhyun pulled the hammer of the gun to see if it was working or no and suddenly asked a question so casually that it sounded scarier.

Joonmyun's heart dropped as soon as he heard the question.That was it.Baekhyun has found out everything.Tsunami is about to arrive.It's going to get bloody really soon.

"Hyung,what were you thinking while bringing Chungha back in my..our life?"

Annie just got down from the bus station,closest to the territory all dressed up,feeling all giddy and happy.It's 7:45 now.She is so excited and happy for her and Baekhyun's date.She feels like she's back in her teen years.Which is nice as she never got to experience happiness as a teen.

As she was walking towards the territory while singing a beautiful love song in her melodious voice, her phone beeped indicating she has got a message.She smiled and got her phone out hoping the message was from Baekhyun but as soon as she saw the message she felt like crying.Her heart broke as it didn't take her more than one moment to understand what was going on.

From:Namjoon Oppa

Don't step a foot in the territory tonight.Stay as far as possible from Baekhyun hyung for now.But don't worry,we will manage everything.Everything will be fine.

Sent:7.46 pm.

She knew Baekhyun found out what was going on.She's been found out. Baekhyun now knows who she is and is probably going to shoot her the moment he sees her.But she doesn't care about that.The fact that what he must be going through,what he must be feeling,how heartbroken and sad he must be feeling made her hate herself for even coming back.She broke down in the middle of the road.Everyone looked at her,a few even approached her to see if everything was alright.But she didn't reply,sat on the footpath and continued to cry her heart out.She actually hates herself for doing this to Baekhyun.He didn't deserve this.

"I'm so sorry,Baekhyun-ah,"She cried out loud,not caring about anyone else present there.

After crying her heart out for God knows how long,Annie stood up and wiped her tears.She couldn't go to the territory as the situation would be worse.She just needs to stay away from Baekhyun for a few days.Annie turned around.There wasn't a bus that would head towards her home for awhile,so she decided to take a walk.

She didn't even care where she was heading.She didn't even notice that she was walking in a lonely street.Her mind wasn't processing anything.She couldn't think anything except for the fact that she's hurt the person she loves the most for the billionth time.She was so out of it,she didn't even notice some men following her.That was so unlike her.None of her senses were working.

She didn't even notice the men approaching her from behind.She didn't notice them coming close to her.She felt weak.She couldn't even understand what was happening when the men put on a cloth of chloroform on her face.She tried to fight back,but her mind and body were not working properly.

After awhile she could only see darkness.

That night Yoojung got a message in his phone from one of his men.

Sir,we've successfully kidnapped her.It was easier than we thought.

Sent:8.43 pm.

Yoojung smirked.

Now you will see how it feels to get what's yours taken away from you,Byun Baekhyun.
