WANG YIBO POV

Mom suddenly drags and pulls me up.
I was really shocked and puzzled.

“Get up quickly!” Mom said.

“I don't want to!” I let go of my hand from her grip.”

“Grandma.” I quickly hug  Grandma.

“You surprised the kid coming out of nowhere. What are you doing? Wait here, I'll go change his clothes.?” Grandma was furious while protecting me.

“Please be quick, I have no time.” Mom said.

“Yibo, you said you missed your Mom, right?”

“Yes..”

“Eat delicious food and have fun with your mom...”

“Okay..”

When I was ready, Mom just looks at me and never hold my hand as we get out of the gate until we get in the car. It feels like mom is mad at me. I have a lot to say but I am afraid that Mom will scold me so I didn't say anything. I glance at her and mom also didn't say anything.

“CARMEN! HERE!”

Just like that when we arrived at the place. I saw a lady standing and call my mom.

“Cici, why do you come so suddenly?”

“Ahaha, I have something to tell you. Let's introduced ourselves first.”

Mom and Auntie Cici were friends and meet each other often and naturally, we met each other often.

“We can just be friends. After I moved here, I also don't have any friends.” Xiao Zhan starts to talk to me.

And Xiao Zhan was my first friend when I met him.

“Yibo, let's go on the slide.” Xiao Zhan said with a bright smile on his face.

He then introduced himself to my Mom.

“Hello, I am Xiao Zhan.”

“Oh my..so you are Zhan..whoever looks at you would know that you're Cici's son. How can this be?” My mom said happily and averted he gaze at me.

“Yibo, say hello.” Mom said.

Because I am shy and feel hesitant, it took me long before I can speak.

“Do you want to humiliate your mom?” My Mom asked me.

I was a bit scared and flinched because maybe I am a stranger to her.

But auntie Cici come closer to me and squat to level on me and talk.

“Yibo, I am your Mom's friend and we are very close.” She said cheerfully and I nod in response.

“Yibo is very cool. Who did you take after to look this handsome?”

“Whoever that is..” My Mom said in a serious face.”

“Why his eyes totally look like yours.” Auntie Cici said as she stares at my eyes.

“That's all, let's talk about it.” My mom said to Auntie.

“Okay, Zhan and Yibo, go and play together.”

Rather than my mom, I like meeting you and Auntie Cici more. While you are in her embrace, she is holding my hand taking care of us while Mom is not there.

“Yes,” Zhan answered as he drag my hand and I was a bit shock.

“Let's go, Yibo. What should we play and what do you like?”

“I don't know.” Because I really don't know.

“Then what did you play in the kindergarten?” Zhan asked.

“What kindergarten?” I asked.

“???...Where there are teachers and friends.” Zhan explained.

“My teacher came to my house. I don't have friends.”

“Ah.”

“Yeah.”

“Is Yibo sleepy?”

“Hmm..”

“Do you want to sleep then?”

“But you want to play.”

“Hmmm, that's right.” Xiao Zhan suddenly thought of something.

Chapter 21

Xiao Zhan made an idea because I am sleepy while Xiao Zhan wanted to play.

“Ah, let's play a sleeping princess in the woods.”

“What's that?”

“I played it with mom, the princess sleeps and the prince will protect her by her side.”

“Was that the real story?”

“You're the princess!”

Xiao Zhan pushed my body and lay down putting a cover on me.

“I'll be by your side to protect you.” Xiao Zhan smiles widely as he declared.

I just thought it's a game for Auntie Cici when he wants Xiao Zhan to sleep and decided to play the game and sleep.

A few moments later. I open my eyes and saw Xiao Zhan lying beside me sleeping and snoring. I get up and stare at the sleeping Xiao Zhan when Auntie Cici appeared and I was startled.

“Kids...oh, is Yibo protecting Zhan while asleep?” She asked and giggles.

“Ah no, it's.....” Auntie Cici ruffles my hair.

“Thanks for protecting Zhan, Yibo..”

I wanted to tell you that it was Zhan who wanted to protect me.

“Zhan, wake up. If you sleep now you won't sleep at night.”Auntie Cici carries Xiao Zhan to her chest.

“U-ung...” Xiao Zhan hummed as he is still sleepy.

“Let's go together Yibo.” Auntie Cici stretches her hand to me asking to hold her hand. I then compared how Auntie Cici and my Mom treats me differently.

Since I meet Auntie Cici and Zhan, I get to live with my Mom. One day, Auntie Cici and Zhan visited our house.

“Your house is really big.” Auntie Cici exclaimed.

“Just the size.” My mom said.

“Hello.” I greeted Auntie.

“Hmmm...Hello Yibo..”

“Yibo, go and play with Zhan in your room.”

“Okay..let's go, Zhan..”

“Alright..”

Xiao Zhan was shocked to see Yibo's room was so big.

“Whoa. Is this your room?

“Yea, it's my room.”

“It's so big as the size of my house.”

“You don't have your own room?”

“Nope, our house has only one room so I sleep with mom and dad.” I was surprised to know that.

“Is it not scary to sleep alone?”

“Not really.”

“Yibo, are you sick? You don't look so good.” Xiao Zhan noticed my bland response.

I don't know how I will say it but finally, I spill it out.

“Mom hates me.” I lean my jaw on my knees while sitting.

“No, it's not like that.” Zhan shakes his head in disagreement.

“Mom wants you and me to get married but we can't because of me. I hate that I'm a man.”

“Why not?”

“Marriage is for people who like each other,” Zhan said and I feel surprised.

“Do you like me?” I asked.

“Yes. I like you, Yibo.” You smile cheerfully and brightly when you said that.

“What about you?”

“I....”

Your words, I was thankful. I don't mind if you just lie to comfort me.

“I like you too...Zhan....” Wang Yibo mumbled as he stares at the photo in his wallet.
