“Now?” Xiao Zhan asked shyly.

“You can't?”

“N-No, I have too much time to spare...” Xiao Zhan quickly answered.

Xiao Zhan has no idea where they are going so just follow Wang Yibo until they reach their destination. It's a bookstore.

Xiao Zhan can't believe that Wang Yibo will ask to go buy a workbook with him. This is the first time he goes with Wang Yibo after school except they go home together lately.

As they enter the lift, Xiao Zhan became quiet. The outdoor lift was made of glass and Xiao Zhan leans close to the glass wall and enjoys the scenery up and he is amazed. Whoah! He didn't notice that Wang Yibo is already standing behind him and speak.

“What are you looking at?”

“Ahh, it's just amazing..” Xiao Zhan replied with a happy face only to realize their faces are just inches apart and their bodies almost have no gap.

Goodness...Xiao Zhan said in his thought. He is surprised that Wang Yibo's handsome face suddenly appears in front of him, that close.

“Let's get off..” Wang Yibo said when they reach the fifth floor.

As they enter the bookstore, Wang Yibo asks to wait for foe him.

“Can you sit here for a while, I'll be right back..”

Xiao Zhan sits in the waiting area like a behave kid. While waiting, two kids chasing each other passed by while talking.

Ahh, the kids are so cute...

“Really? Then you are going to marry me?” The little boy asked again.

“Okay...” The little girl answered.

“Hehe..” The kids left happily while Xiao Zhan is laughing in his thought as he eavesdrops on the conversation of the kids.

He then recalls when they were young.

“Marriage is done between two people who liked each other.” Xiao Zhan said.

“Then do you like me?” Wang Yibo asked.

“Yeah, I like you Yibo..” Xiao Zhan quickly answered while blushing. 

“Huh?” Xiao Zhan opens his eyes widely when he realized that happened when they were young.

Xiao Zhan pulls his hair as can't believe he had that kind of memory with Wang Yibo.

“Zhan!” Wang Yibo called him.

Xiao Zhan's soul leaves his body for split seconds as he can't compose a word from shock and embarrassment.

“Aaarrrghh..” Xiao Zhan taps his throat acting like it's drying and his face is blushing.

“Are you okay? Your face is red..” Wang Yibo said.

“Ah yeah, it just a bit hot here.” Xiao Zhan made an alibi.

“Really? Let's go!” Wang Yibo grabs Xiao Zhan's hand and run quickly to the lift and leave the area.

“Where to?” Xiao Zhan asked.

Wang Yibo brought him to the nearest cafe. Xiao Zhan checked the price and the name of the menu. He feels daze as don't know what to order or how he will order and not familiar with the taste of them. Wang Yibo looks at him and speaks.

“Can you go save a seat? I'll order..”

“Sure..” Xiao Zhan answered and thankful he was saved.

Wang Yibo arrives with a tray of sliced cake, a cup of coffee, and a glass of juice. Xiao Zhan stares at it as he thought, it is delicious. He then takes out his wallet and asks Wang Yibo.

“How much is this?”

“I'll treat you because you've come all the way here...” Wang Yibo said.

Xiao Zhan blushed and keep his wallet as he thanks Wang Yibo. He always only imagined it. Eating with a friend, going home together, and hanging out together. Xiao Zhan thought and didn't realize he is smiling like an idiot in front of Wang Yibo and Wang Yibo noticed him.

“What are you smiling at?”

“Because I like it so much...” Xiao Zhan answered with a wide smile.

“Ah, then I'll treat you ofter.” Wang Yibo blushed when he realized what he said.

“T-That's not what I meant...” Xiao Zhan shyly said.

Xiao Zhan picks the fork and starts to eat. To break the silence and not to feel.awkward he started a new topic and change the subject earlier.

“Hey, Yibo, why don't you go to cram school or get private lessons?”

“Because I don't need to...” Because he is always first place in the class.

“Why didn't you? If you tell mom, she would let you register there.” Wang Yibo asked back.

Auntie Carmen did tell me that but even you didn't go, how can I? Xiao Zhan thought.

“Haha, just because...” Xiao Zhan laughs as he looks down and saw the dessert plate and gasp. Je almost finished the cake. Huh? Did I eat everything by myself?

“Sorry Yibo, I ate everything..” Xiao Zhan shyly said.

“Ir's okay, I ordered that for you. You do like cake after all..” Wang Yibo said after sipping his coffee.

“H-How? Ah, Auntie Carmen has been buying me a cake every time it's my birthday.” Xiao Zhan was surprised.

“Mom doesn't know that you like cake. She thinks you like cream bread.” Wang Yibo looks at Xiao Zhan intently.

“Huh.” Xiao Zhan was shocked.

“You chose cream bread when you were young because the cake is expensive.” Wang Yibo reminded him of the first time Mrs. Wang brought them to the bakery.

“Let's go..” Wang Yibo picks up his bag and stands up.

Xiao Zhan can't understand.

Huh? How did he...No..wait..if Auntie Carmen didn't know..then the one who has been buying me a birthday cake all this time is...

Xiao Zhan finally realized as he watches Wang Yibo and chased him. He grabs his hand and speaks.

“Did you buy the cake?”

“Yeah..” Wang Yibo stare at Xiao Zhan

Xiao Zhan remembers the first day he starts to live with them.

“I hate you?” Wang Yibo was shocked.

“I mean I can understand it from your position..”.Xiao Zhan lowers his head as he thought he is too straightforward to Wang Yibo.

“I...have never hated you..”

“Huh?”

“I thought, it was you who hated me...” Wang Yibo.

Xiao Zhan can't believe it. Since he started living with Yibo. All along, he thought Wang Yibo hated him.

Until they reach home, Xiao Zhan's mind is still occupied with Yibo's revelation. While sitting on his bed he keeps thinking about it.

So, did Yibo just really not want to be my brother? But back then..that was the first time I saw Yibo shout. To me, his words like saying..“I don't want to live with him..” I just avoided you because I tried not to hurt you, I didn't that was how you felt.

Xiao Zhan decided to talk to Wang Yibo. He knocks on his room. Wang Yibo was surprised.

“I got something to tell you..” Xiao Zhan is feeling nervous as he tugs his cloth.

“Earlier, you said I hated you...I never hated you too...how can I hate you?” Xiao Zhan lowers his head as he said those words.

“Are you saying that even if I hate you, you'll still never hate me? Because I am the son of your savior?” Wang Yibo said.

“Ah?” Xiao Zhan looks at Wang Yibo.

“Zhan..putting of all that aside, I hope you don't feel uncomfortable with me..because we are friends.” Wang Yibo makes it clear to him.

So you still consider me a friend, but I..atleast I can talk to him at home but I can't do it when we are at school.

While in the school, Xiao Zhan looks at Wang Yibo chatting with his friends thinking about what he will do to get close to Wang Yibo even they are in school. He smiles when he saw his phone on his desk. He picks and types a message.

Yibo, can you come with me to the snack bar?

No. He told me to be comfortable with him.

Xiao Zhan erased it and type again.

“Yibo, is there anything you want to eat?”
