you showed up that day with a soft grin on your face, hoody resting on your head as you flickered your fingers in a silent wave.

"wow," you said, a gasp escaping from your perfectly shaped lips. "your hair... is beautiful."

i managed to lift the edges of my lips into a genuine smile as i thanked you. it had been only a couple days since i last saw you, yet i looked different due to my newly dyed blonde hair.

you wouldn't look away.

we stood there, a comfortable silence falling upon us as we started to walk through the vast and vacant park.

"i dyed my hair, too," you told me, fingers raising to the brims of your hoody as you slowly pushed it back. "it's a coincidence, but we're matching."

wow, i thought, you looked amazing.

"i like it," i whispered.
