i stopped in my tracks, your voice getting louder as you ran up to me. you had your hands tucked into your pockets, face shining as you smiled my way.

"hey."

i continued to stare at you. 

"where are you going?" you asked, your lips tugging into a bigger smile.

your smile was so beautiful.

"i'm heading to my father's office," i answered, shifting my eyes from your face to the empty street behind you. "i guess you're going to visit him, too?"

you nodded your head,"has he told you about my situation?"

"he doesn't ever tell me about his clients."

"ah," you nodded in understanding. "so you don't know?"

"i don't," i nodded my head.

"i'd like to keep it that way."
