''Shit'' I whispered ''Quick, hide!'' I said to Shawn

''What? Why? Where''

''Enough with the wh-questions. I-I- I don't know. My mom is coming, she really can't see you right now!'' 

''Honey, where are you?'' My mom screamed

''I'm coming'' I said loudly.

Shit I shouldn't have said that, now she knows where I am- she might come and see me with Shawn. Oh my God- Nooo

''What are you doing on the balcony? It's freezing outside.'' she said 

''But-but where do I go? I can't just jump'' Shawn whispered and looked over to see if my mom was coming

''Yes. That's it! You jump'' I said nervously

''WHAT?'' Shawn screamed a little

''Who are you talking to?'' my mum said coming closer

''Please, I'll explain later. Th-thank you for coming but she really can't see you. You don't know how overprotective she has become since last year''

''What happened during that damn last year, Katherine!'' 

''Now it's really not the time to explain. See you tomorrow'' I said while giving him a kiss on the cheek

Shawn's point of view

Woah. Katherine just kissed me. It might not have been on the lips but that's what made that night more than special. This wasn't like any other date. In fact, it wasn't even a date. And she, isn't like any other girl but she doesn't have to be ordinary.

The warmth of her breath and the touch of her soft lips pressed against my skin seemed to last forever. And although it didn't, it only made me want more. 

That's when I realised that in fact, I should be hiding because her mum was very close to opening the door to the balcony. The fear was kicking in and that's when I decided to do it. I jumped and the minute I landed I realised that tree was in fact higher than I thought. The dark evening must have concealed its true height. Thankfully I didn't break anything when I hit the ground. Then I started hearing their voices but they were very quiet because I was too far away from them now, so I decided to run back home and re-play this adventurous night in my head.

Katherine's point of view

''Honey? What's going on?'' my mum asked

''Nothing. Just decided to catch some fresh air.''

BOOM

''What was that?!'' my mum asked and looked down 

Shit. That was Shawn hitting the ground. I still could not believe what he was doing in the name to spend some moments with me tonight- climbing up a tree because my parents are too overprotective, jumping off a tree because my mum can't see him yet...Damn I really hope he didn't hurt himself. He really shouldn't have put himself at risk just because of me! Thank God it was too dark for my mum to be able to see him and even though she  looked down trying to see where the noise came from, she didn't manage to.

''Don't worry mum. It's probably just the neighbor's cat'' I reassured her

''Hmm. That's very weird. Are you sure you weren't talking to someone?''

"Hmm, is that chicken and chips for dinner? Delicious!'' I changed the topic because I didn't want her to notice me lying and took the plate back to my room.

''Yes, I know it's your favourite, so I decided to cook it for you since you were feeling so down today.''

''You're the best. Thank you!'' I said while looking back through the windows and thinking of what's about to happen tomorrow

So sorry I haven't posted for a while. School has just got me stressed out- Exams are coming up -_-

You know I love writing so I'll try to post as often as I possibly can.

The next chapter will be even more exciting, I promise.
