It was almost 8.30 am already, which means we were about to be late for class. Great.

We rushed to our Philosophy classroom, walked in, greeted the teacher and sat down. The minute we walked in, David raised his eyes and his gaze met Chrissy's. I could swear they both wanted each other but no one would break first. I've told Chrissy multiple times but she wouldn't listen. She thought David only saw her as a classmate and nothing more. Not even a friend, which is why she has been too shy to even strike up a conversation with him.

When we sat down I opened up my notebook and wrote down the date- 11/11/11. Upon walking into the school I heard some people saying that this is a lucky date but I didn't quite believe them...yet. Ms. While writing down the date I heard Mrs. Nicholas talking about a new student joining our class. I didn't really care so I kept scribbling in my notebook. 

''This is Shawn, he's joining our class and now he's going to talk a bit about himself, right Shawn?''. 

''Yes, thank you. Hi everyone, my name's Shawn.'' Then I looked up and I saw him staring at me. "Woah" I thought. It's probably worth mentioning at the beginning of our story that he. is. devilishly. handsome.

He kept talking- ''..and I like English related subjects like Philosophy, English, but I also like Music a lot..I'm very passionate about it and I've always wanted to be a musician. So I hope one day..you know, I do'' He said while blushing a little bit while still keeping his gaze on mine.

I felt Chrissy push my arm playfully and then whispered in my ear "Is it just me or is the new guy unable to keep his eyes off of you?"

I was a bit ashamed but also flattered, which made me feel the rush of blood to my cheeks which began burning. I physically felt unable to keep staring at him and so I simply looked down. But...my interest grew stronger and I thought I'd just have one more look at him and when I did, I realised he was still staring at me, but this time it was accompanied with a satisfied smile, too. My stomach twisted and I tried to calm myself down. My heart was beating like crazy and believe me I wish I could describe what was happening to me... The thing is, I don't know myself.

Then Ms. Nicholas interrupted our shared gaze and said ''Okay thank you, Shawn. There's one free seat behind Katherine and Christina, you can sit there''. While walking from the front of the classroom to the seat behind us he kept his intense stare at me and I couldn't help but blush even harder. If that was even humanly possible. My back shivered when he sat just behind me. I guess you can understand that I couldn't concentrate during class. 

At one point Chrissy said with something a little louder than a whisper ''Hey, are you alright? You seem like you're daydreaming? '' 

''Keep it down, girls'' Ms Nicholas said. 

I felt ashamed and so I decided to write Chrissy a note instead of talking.

''I can't stop thinking about the boy behind me'' I wrote on a tiny piece of paper. 

''I think he feels the same way. He can't keep his eyes away from you'' Chrissy wrote down. 

We kept scribbling for a good few minutes and the next thing I knew was the teacher coming up to us the thing I feared the most happened. 

''Alright class, since Katherine and Christina obviously portray their disinterest in our topic today, I say we focus on their activities since they appear to be more entertaining'' Ms Nicholas said and then read the notes we've been making about Shawn and David and our little crushes on them. The whole class cheered and turned to face us. Teenagers and drama. Of course they'd be happy. 

She then looked at Shawn and I wanted to dig a whole in the ground and hide. Any minute now I was expecting her to tell the whole class about everything she read but then something unexpected happened. I imagine that Ms Nicholas either saw how embarrassed I was and decided to spare me the extra embarrassment or she remembered about her days as a student and decided not to destroy my social life. So she kept the information to herself. THANKFULLY. She gave me an understanding look and said:

"On second thought, I think we have too much material to cover, let's get back on it" Everyone in the class Boo-ed and very clearly showed their disappointment.

But then I heard Shawn say from behind me ''Is everything alright?'' 

I turned around to see him looking at me with his beautiful hazel eyes. He had this shade of brown that I could stare at entirely. A shade of light brown mixed with honey. His hair was brown and curly, and a few curls were gently falling on his face. I then looked at his body. He was wearing a plain black T-shirt which made his muscles look big. So big. He was so truly a beautiful man and thought that I could stare at him for a long time and not get bored with it, until I realised I did exactly that!

''You okay?'' he said with a confused look on his face. 

"Uh- ye-yeah, fine'' I said embarrassed and turned to look at the board and I heard Chrissy chuckle.

"This is going to be very interesting..." She said laughing
