Jackie left the White House on December 5th 1963. She lived in two residences in Georgetown. Then one day, people began to crowd on the streets. Everyone huddled in the snow, outside Jackie's house to try and spot her inside. 

Jackie couldn't even hide in her bedroom and people climbed up tries to watch her change her clothes. She had to move somewhere. 

Jackie decided to leave Georgetown and find a new place. But instead of going to Boston where the Kennedys expected her to go, she went to her father's town of New York.
