Love story of young love can go very wrong.  loosely based on the Ron Pope Song- Lies and Cigarettes.

My idea: Two characters thought they were in love, but in reality it was all pretend. The girl is a sweet girl from a farm in Nebraska who just moved to New York City( or some other large city). She is "innocent" and falls for a bad boy, the wandering sinner. This is their love story.

It either shows how like in the song lies unravel and ruin a relationship, or how true love can persevere through lies, and how they love each other more now that the truth is out. Truth makes relationships grow closer, and distance makes the heart grow fonder.

She may lie about her past to try and seem worthy, he lies about most things to try and impress her. Lies, lies, and more lies are hard to keep track of.  What will happen when her mother dies and is sent back to Nebraska to work on the family farm. Will they stay strong, or will the relationship wither away to the nothingness. The started with nothing, then lies about something, then things go wrong and they may just turn back to nothing. Their love was something, or was it? Are they no one or someone? A story about self discovery? A story about relationships?

These are more ideas for the story. You can take them and run, or build upon them to create something greater than my imagination. Be free idea fairy, and go find your new home.
