You can buy many thing that can be fangirled over or show what you like in stores. Where I live there are stores such as TokyoToys and the Disney store as Thor is one of the many things I fangirl over. In America there are stores such as hot topic where you can gain cool stuff. I have been to all of these that  I listed above and I can assure people that the workers there are nice and you don't have to worry about impressions on other people and looking weird.

Most of the time the workers are fans of most of things related to what you want to buy. I had this shown to me when I went to Build a Bear and got an AppleJack teddy. The person who stuffed my new friend was a huge fan of mlp and we had a twenty minute conversation about the latest movie in the franchise at that time: Rainbow Rocks.

Again proving the point that you should just be yourself.
