You entered the most secluded area in the research center.

You've been training in South Korea's research center which was a really huge building located in the heart of Seoul, for two years now as a clinical lab technician.

The place was surrounded by a really serious atmosphere since the morning.

One of their top secret projects, a bunny hybrid the research team found on the streets ten years ago, may be killed today.

Hybrids were always seen as a cure for some diseases and research institutes wanted the cure.

But as per the laws, it has a lot of procedures because it was not a game to use someone's life in a research, which is almost similar to gambling.

But hybrids were always afraid to face the outside world and kept themselves away from normal humans.

Hybrids either live in abandoned places or underground. Just anywhere they can avoid humans.

Some research institutes took advantage of this, kidnapping hybrids, using them for their own research purposes without the government's consent.

People do not even know how unfair the hybrids are being treated in today's world.

And project 13, was the only hybrid the research center you're working in, has still kept alive.

He's the only hybrid who is being used here without the outside world's knowledge.

He was fifteen years old when he was brought here by the team after his parents died.

These ten years, he was just locked inside a empty white room with a single bed, a pillow and blanket.

Occasionally brought to the lab for a new research purpose. He was given carrots and banana milk as food every day. He has not even seen sunlight in these ten years.

And tomorrow, there will be a government foray around the lab.

So, they had to terminate the project and let him out. But the institute is afraid that he'd spill the secrets happening here.

The only other choice was to kill him.

And right now there was a meeting held for the higher officials in the lab, regarding project 13.

Your practice ends tomorrow as per the contract you signed two years back.

After that, you can work independently. Wherever you want and whatever you do. The institute won't care once the contract ends.

You've never seen the hybrid's face. Only his back profile. And you don't even know his name. No one does because for them, he's just another project.

"Mr.Choi" you called and the middle aged man wearing a tux turned around to face you.

He motioned his secretary to leave and it was just you and the owner of the research institute right now.

You looked at him with a slightly timid face and he understood what you wanted to ask.

Sighing, he turned around.

"Follow me" he said and you smiled a bit brightly and followed him.

On reaching the basement by the elevator, you held the files against you, removing your hand form your white lab coat's pocket.

As Choi Daejin stopped in front of a place with slightly dimmed lights, the two scientists who worked on project 13, came too.

"Just five minutes" he said coldly and left you alone with Namjoon and Taehyung who also belonged to the research team.

"I have no idea why you want to see him so badly" Namjoon said as he slid the card for access through the door.

"He's really cute though" Taehyung said.

"Taehyung, are you really straight?" you asked and Taehyung snapped at you.

"Of course I am" Taehyung defended himself as you both entered the room to see Yoongi, who was supposed to map the bunny hybrid's vitals and movements 24/7 through the cameras, dozing off in his chair like always with his neck pillow.

Rolling eyes at Yoongi's sleeping figure, Taehyung walked further and opened the door to the room where the hybrid has been secured.

Taehyung looked at you and you smiled a little before holding the door, pushing it open.

You slowly stepped inside the room and looked around after handing your files to Namjoon.

The room as said, just a single bed in the middle with a pillow, a blanket, the room completely white as a pair of plain white pajamas given to the hybrids, lying on the floor.

There were no windows in the room. It was a place with no escape.

The bathroom neither had a tub, nor mirrors. Just in case the hybrid tries to drown or cut himself.

A shower and toilet. Couple of towels and the same plain white pajamas.

"Where is he?" you asked and Taehyung pointed to a rabbit in the room's corner, munching carrots.

"He's a shape shifting hybrid" Namjoon said and your mouth performed an 'o'.

You slowly walked towards him and knelt down.

In fear, the rabbit backed away, dropping his carrot.

"Hey, I'm not going to hurt you" you said in a soft voice.

"He does that to everyone" Taehyung stated.

"You should talk to us someday" Namjoon said to the hybrid and sighed lightly. "We don't even know his name" he muttered.

"You're the god of destruction. How will he come near you?" Taehyung asked.

"You're an alien. How will he come near you?" Namjoon snapped back and the duo started bickering.

You shrugged them off and looked back to the bunny who was turning his head from you to the duo continuously.

The rabbit suddenly took short steps towards you and jumped on your lap.

You were surprised and happy at the same time.

Lifting him in your arms, you caressed his back soothingly as he buried his head and long ears in your stomach.

He growled at the duo who were bickering non stop.

Hearing the bunny growl, Namjoon and Taehyung looked at you.

"He does things he never does when being with you" Namjoon said.

You just chuckled and looked back to the bunny.

"Hi baby bunny" you said with a smile. "I'll get you out of here" you muttered in a stern voice as he looked up at your face.
