101.The Christmas Truce #3

Author's pov

A small smile appeared on eomma Jin's face as he watched the little girl playing with the dough, putting it over Jungkook's head.

"Appa, you look like a coconut" the five year old girl said and Jungkook pouted.

"Do you want me to tell eomma that you're playing with the bakery ingredients?" he asked in a playfully threatening way and Aecha shook her head as a no.

"Then get back inside the house and play with Yoongi ahjussi" Jungkook said and Aecha ran towards the door that led to inside the house from the bakery.

Jin and Taehyung are the breadwinners among you all. I mean it literally. There is a store, two streets from here and there takes place different types of competitions where you can win bread. No big deal.

The bakery is owned by Jungkook, his hyungs, and you.

It was Christmas today. And of course, there'd be a lot of customers.

The bakery was growing more and more famous in the country, during these months.

Getting inside the house too, Jungkook found Namjoon sitting on the dining chair, as he wrote down a poem.

"Hyung" Jungkook called before sitting on the chair across Namjoon's.

He knew that this was the right time as no one else was around right now.

"Have you talked to Jin hyung about it?" Jungkook asked and Namjoon shook his head as a no.

"He thinks that no one knows" Namjoon started. "But we both do" he said.

"And I know that I can give him all the love" he added. "I'm also telling him that you and I know about him having loved Y/n" he said again.

Jin fell in love for you, right when he saw you by the river bank that day.

But his love ended even before it could start.

Your pov

Placing aside the freshly baked cakes, I walked to the house as Taehyung and Jimin were taking care of the customers while Aecha was with Hoseok.

"Aecha" I called and she immediately ran towards me. "You've not had your breakfast yet. Come with me" I told and she nodded, waving her hand at Hoseok before walking with me.

On reaching the kitchen, I saw he-who-took-my-first-kiss, doing the dishes. After all, I'm she-who-took-his-first-kiss too.

Finished with the dishes, Jungkook found his beloved wife and daughter standing behind him with their backs leaned against the kitchen island.

"Took you so long to notice" I said before picking up Aecha and placing her on the kitchen counter.

Grabbing the plate of fried eggs I placed on the counter earlier, I got the spoon from the shelf.

Jungkook took the plate from my hand as he started feeding Aecha.

And there again, the father and daughter duo, like always, started bickering about whom I love more.

Then, they'd apologize to each other by saying that I love both of them equally. That everyone deserves everything, nothing less, or nothing more.

Still, one cannot help but imagine what would happen if the spirit shown here was caught by the nations of the world. Of course, disputes may arise. But what if our leaders were to offer good wishes in place of warnings, songs in place of insults, gifts in place of reprisals? Would not all wars end at once?

All nations say they want peace. Yet on this Christmas morning, I wonder if we want it quite enough.

A/n

I'm totally confused with what I've been typing recently *sighs*. The plot was inspired from one of my lessons- The Christmas Truce, hence the title.
