Chapter 8: Training
I walk into the room where many other tributes are already training. I watch a girl from district 5 throw a knife easily into the bullseye. She looks at me and smirks. Well, I'm not going over there. And plus I'm already amazing with knives. I see the camouflage station, the gun station, and many others, but the archery station catches my attention. I picture Liam shooting the bullseye right in the middle, with ease. I walk over and gently pick up a bow and 3 arrows. I aim and shoot. The arrow flies way to the left and almost hits a girl. She turns around and walks over to me. I'm not sure if I should be scared or happy. Her face contains a warm welcoming smile, a pair of sparkling blue eyes, and a small little nose.
"Hi, I'm Anna. I'm from district 13," she says.
"Hello Anna," I say, not sure what I'm supposed to do. Anna takes my bow, pulls back an arrow and releases. It lands directly in the center of the smallest bullseye. She looks at me and smiles. She reminds me of Liam.
I stammer, "W-w-wo-wow, that was awesome."
"My mother taught me," a sad look crosses her face. "I can teach you if you want."
"Um, ok," I say, "I think I need it."
She laughs. " Ok, so you take the bow with your..."

I serve myself some spaghetti, grab a piece of garlic bread and go sit down. Anna along with another girl from her district come over and sit down. I'm not sure where Fin is but he should be fine. "Hey," I say awkwardly.
"Hi," Anna says, "Willow this is Grace, my fellow girl tribute. Grace this is Willow, from district 3."
"Hi," Grace says. I smile.
"Is that all your gonna eat?" Anna asks.
"Ya, I'm not that hungry," I answer.
"Did you guys hear what happened?" Grace asks.
"No, what?" I ask.
"You know that noise we heard last night Anna?" Grace asks.
"Ya," Anna says.
"Apparently some girl almost killed her fellow girl tribute and then she threw a knife into a guy's leg. And somehow a little girl got shot," Grace says.
"What?! Are you serious?" Anna says.
"Wow!" I say trying to sound amazed. But I know what they're talking about. Their talking about what happened with Olivia, Emily, Ethan, and I.
"Um, I have to go," I say before putting my dishes away and running out of the room.
"Well that was weird," Grace says.
I peek into the boy's room and see that Fin and Ethan are eating lunch. "Knock, Knock," I say before walking in.
Fin runs into my arms and I wrap my arms around him.
"How's your leg doing?" I ask afraid that he's going to ignore me again.
"It's better, I guess," he responds.
"Well," I pause, "I just wanna say thanks. Thanks for coming in and saving my life, even if in the end it still killed someone."
He nods and a tear slides down his face. I can see that I said too much and I walk out.

"Yes, that's how you do it," Anna says while jumping up and down. I finally did it, I finally hit the bullseye. I smile.
After an hour I'm pretty sure I have it down and we move on to the survival station. I already know what meat is edible and stuff, but I have no idea about plants and things.
We both enjoy trying all kinds of new foods and seeing the difference between edible foods and nonedible things.
"Alright, now that we have this down, do you wanna go get some dinner?" Anna asks.
"Sure," I say.
We get pork-chops, mash potatoes, and green beans. "Let's go up on the roof," she says.
We take our food and climb up an extensive amount of stairs until we reach the top. Anna pushes open the door and we go through. "Wow, it's so beautiful," I say breath taken.
"Ya," she says.
We begin eating our food. "Hey, can I ask you something," she says.
"Ya, sure."
"What happened earlier at lunch?"
