Percy Jackson has escaped death numerous times, but he wasn't so sure he would make it out this time, and he just prayed to all Greek gods that he would survive, even if barely.

He hadn't known where everything went downhill so fast. At first, he was taking a minding dip in the beach. The next, the ground sunk it and he fell down below, into a small room that was currently being filled out with sand.

His hands pressed against the stone walls, trying desperately to feel out any sources of water nearby to no avail.
