Kaneki's kakuja is very different. The bright red is from his blood, not from his ghoul eye. It is only shown is season 2, that when he uses his centipede kakuja, his ghoul eye glows a bit brighter, similar to ghouls in season 1 who have a brighter eye than Kaneki when in combat.
