Apparently being black means you have a whole different world when it comes to hair???

But anyway my friends (twins) have had their hair the same way all their life (in two short plaits/braids that don't go past their shoulders)

And it's nice and all

But one of them sent me a pic with her hair down after a wash before it's done up aND IT LOOKS SO GOOD ON HER

so I'm begging her to just keep it out

But apparently it's effort and takes lots of care to keep like that???

I think she just doesn't wanna upset her mum, who has always done their hair like that, but I feel kinda sorry for her
